Ate here during the Super Bowl and ate here this past weekend..the pepperoni pizza is good and hits the spots! Can't go wrong with pepperoni! Highly recommend if you're in San Pedro and want a quick bite and if you're craving pizza.
Pizza Bocca Lupo is a solid wood-fired pizza spot right in the heart of San Pedro Square. The margherita was excellent: simple ingredients done right, with a nicely charred crust that had great texture. Exactly what you want from a wood-fired pie. We also grabbed a bottle of red wine to go with it, which was a nice pairing. The wine list is limited, but they offer both full and half bottle options, which is a thoughtful touch. Add in the live music happening in the square while we ate, and it made for a really enjoyable outing overall.
Definitely not coming back for this one! We ordered the chicken and bacon pizza .The bacon bits were the only saving grace. The crust was soggy and tasted stale.Tomato sauce sparse and the chicken bland. Service was decent & it's located within el dorado hall in San Pedro square.
Stopped by this downtown pizza spot today (Friday around 5pm) and it was the perfect time to go--not too crowded at all. We ordered the Margherita and the Diavola, and both were excellent. The Margherita had the perfect balance of tomato sauce and cheese--simple, fresh, and done right. But the Diavola really stole the show: super flavorful with just the right kick of spice. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the quality was spot on. Easily my favorite pizza joint downtown. Can't wait to come back!
It's a solid Margherita pizza. Would I like the crust to be crustier? Sure. But this is good. Its light and bright. This heals my spirit. I would come here again in a heartbeat. Graze!
I came here on a Friday night. San Pedro Square was poppin as usual. I needed to eat something with my AMF and I decided to get pizza as a quick meal. I ordered the "Joe's special" $20. It was a combination style pizza on a thin wood fire crust. Ngl it was pretty dang good. So worth, I enjoyed it. The ingredients were well spread out and flavorful. Service was super nice! I forgot my credit card in their machine and when I went to pick up my order, they confirmed with me that I had forgotten my card and they held onto it for me. GREAT SERVICE. THANK YOU.
This is such a fun place to visit! Pizza Boca Lipa is located in the San Pedro Square Market, which included several restaurants and a large outdoor space for dining and live music. This is THE spot to go before sharks games to get a good bite and drink. The pizza was baked in a pizza oven and had amazing crust and toppings! I was able to split the pizza with a friend and it was more than enough food. The cashier is also very friendly and was happy to give recommendations!
I had jury duty nearby (civil courthouse) and wanted to grab something for lunch. I have been here many times, and while I do think their pizza is good, I thought they had a better variety in the past, since it had a little more esoteric toppings. Still, it's good that this place is still going, and I'm happy to get a thin-crust, quick-cooked pizza. Specifically, I wanted to mention their lunch special. It's a great deal, a half a pizza and salad for about $12. Add a few bucks for a beverage, and it's still a relatively well-priced lunch. Also, I like how it is made fresh to order. The portion size is good for a satisfying lunch but won't overload you. The salad they give you is kind of small, like a side salad size, but it is fancy with cheese and dried fruit. One of the things that I really enjoy about San Pedro Square is that there are a lot of places to sit and eat, outside and inside. Also if you go with someone who doesn't want to get pizza, they can go their own separate lunch and meet you outside to have a seat together.
Eh, just an okay margherita pizza. Delicious red sauce but it was so watery that the slices were super floppy (had to eat the slices folded-NY-style otherwise would've made a huge mess). Crust wasn't exceptionally fluffy and was even kinda leaning towards the tough side. Overall not a bad spot if you're craving for pizza at San Pedro Square Market but wouldn't say that it's a must-try.
Probably one of the worst pizzas I've had -- very sloppy and soggy. I ordered the Margherita pizza, but the cheese was too thick, there was way too much marinara, and the basil came out burnt. I've definitely had much better pizzas elsewhere.

Food:10/10 I got a margherita pizza and the ingredients are so fresh and the cheese was perfectly melted. There was more than just 2 basil leaves in my margherita, which is a plus too. Their pizzas are not very crispy but they are from a wood oven and I like that the pizza isn't too oily. The pizza is cut into only 4 slices, but shareable amongst two people. The price is fair for the quality and taste. Ambiance: In front of the pizza place, there are high tables and high chairs, there are also booths you can sit at too. You can order on the kiosk or in person. The workers are very friendly. There's a parking garage across the pizza place and plenty of street parking spots too. This is now my favorite food spot in the San Pedro Square marketplace. Looking forward to my next pizza craving!:)
mostly crust, idk what else to say :/ v sparse toppings cheese was like sliding off the slices which was funny bc there was also barely any cheese also the edges got a bit burnt but parts of the pizza felt undercooked even tho it was hot? idk anyways this is in San Pedro, on the side that's super dark lol
Yeah Pizza Bocca Lupo is a solid option for San Pedro Square, but overall, I think it's a bit overrated. If you're hanging out with friends in San Pedro Square, it's quite alright. Otherwise I would never come here. The lunch special is a decent deal, otherwise The pizza is quite pricy and the quality is just ok. I would much rather go to slice of homage / square pie guys which is not too far away. Enough talk. read more
Stumbled into the neck of the woods for the futbol game at the good old San Pedro, in search of grub and brewskies. Pizza Bocca Lupo and another caught our eye. Pizza is decent here. Not bad, but not wow amazing either. For me this is the okay I can eat this pizza and I would not be mad. I did have to add additional toppings like pepperoni and garlic, but if the pizza is going to be 19 dollars on its own for an individual size plate, I think you should comp on some of the toppings. Not a cheap pizza to say the least. They were pretty busy, but quick about getting the pizza cooked and again can't complain about the taste. I just need to try more Neopolitan style to actually compare this to. I do love that they use the brick oven and actual wood and fire for all their cooks. San Pedro Square is always a fun and cool place to come and hang out very good place just to come and socialize with your friends and peers. read more

Stopped by this place for pizza. It was very busy, so it was hard to find seating. It took about half an hour for our Margherita pizza to be ready. Pizza was good but definitely needed more basil. read more

I've been coming here for a few years. At first, it was one of my fav pizza places. In the last 6mos to a year, the quality has tanked exponentially. I've been embarrassed to recommend my friends here. One time I came to eat with a group...recommended this pizza. The pizzas were soggy, floppy, runny and hella skimp on toppings. I've decided to assume that everyone has a bad day and I keep trying and wishing it was like the old quality standard. Today, I asked for extra toppings and extra fire in the oven as I do not like soggy pizza. As you can see by my photos.... Soggy central. This pizza is not worth the "San Pedro Tax" (aka higher prices, etc) The positive, sauce and flavoring is great. read more

Haven't been back in a while. This style of margherita is different from what I remember: less floppy and with speckling on the mozz, presumably from high heat. Kind of unusual, like Neapolitan style leaning towards NY, but I really like it. And the sauce tastes fantastic. read more

I've had pizza from Pizza Bocca Lupo a few times now and they're always pretty solid. You are able to customize your pizza if you want to but you cannot do half/half of two flavors unfortunately. Their wood fire oven always makes great quality pizza and their dough makes a great base each and every time. The last time I was here, I tried their pesto pizza and added chicken, tomato, and basil with a side of ranch. It took less than 10 minutes for it to be ready despite it being a really busy weekend. Unfortunately, it was overly salty this time around and I did not use the ranch at all. I think sticking to their marinara sauce is the safest bet and just customize your toppings. The staff is always really friendly here and they're very helpful when asking for combo recommendations. They are a great addition to San Pedro Square and I will always come back for more. read more
We had some of the best Napoli style pizza in Washington DC and were craving it, so decided to try this place out. We come to San Pedro Square at least once a month but hadn't tried Bocca Lupo. We arrived shortly after they opened so the pizza took longer than expected (about 17 minutes). I ordered the margherita and husband ordered the Joe's special. The margherita had more cheese than a traditional and the basil strips were small but it was still delicious. It is a 12 inch pizza and I got really full halfway through. The Joe's special had even more cheese and the toppings were not spread evenly but he enjoyed it nonetheless. We enjoyed it outside in the sun while the NFL games were going. read more

Pizza Bocca Lupo is without doubt about my favorite pizza places in the Bay Area. Great sauce and toppings on top of the most delicious dough crust you could find... Located at San Pedro Square Market, it is a great place to go with friends or family, so many options to choose from so everyone can get what they like best. I usually get my pizza here and pick up a drink from Urban Ritual to enjoy alongside it. This time I got their Joe's special pizza with sausage, mushroom and mozzarella. They are always very efficient and friendly with their service. There is plenty of seating, both inside and out, with music and a couple of great bars as well. On many days there will be live music outside on the stage, especially during the summer. During the winter musicians will play inside one of the bars. Sitting outside is really nice during the summer, it feels very communal, the tables are comfortable, and if you have kids they really enjoy running around and exploring the place while you might simply enjoy listening to the music when it's playing. There are great options for dessert as well around the plaza, such as Mochinuts. This pizza place as well as this whole plaza are highly recommended for a good afternoon or evening out. read more

This ain't your run of the mill pizza, no sireee...this baby has that wood fire taste to it with thin crust and it hits the spot. The pizzas can be on the oily side--but, hey, it is pizza...and if you don't like that, you can always daub the top with napkins to absorb some of the oil. One downside is that primarily their pizzas are tomato sauce-based, and I prefer more of a selection of sauces and toppings. read more
