Pinball Machines
Lloyd C.

My wife and I visited Bibo's NY Pizza a while ago, but it was nice to revisit them again. They built a open-aired covered seating area outside, in addition to the tables and benches already outside. They offer inside tables and bar seating too. The have two pinball machines for entertainment and a few TVs covering professional sports. Only one unisex restroom. White Pie: NY classic white pie (no sauce), ricotta, mozzarella, fresh basil. The crust was crisp like a cracker crunch yet airy. The cheeses blended nicely together for a sweet yet savory bite. The basil added a nice freshness to each bite. Support your local business.

Sliced pizza: Monster meatball, Italian, and Buffalo Chicken

Chill pizza diner in Willow Glen. Inside is small but they have long tables for groups. And seating at the bar facing the kitchen and tvs overhead to watch different games. Ordering easy and our cashier was friendly. She was also the person to bring out the food to the table. I like that I could order slices of different pizzas instead of committing to one whole pizza on one type. I tried a slice of monster meatball at the diner. It was decent. The pizza crust and dough were really good! The meatballs and toppings could use more spice so I added more red pepper flakes. It's NY style so the slices are foldable for eating. I ordered two more slices to take out, the buffalo chicken and the Italian. I forgot to mention that I wanted them to go but the cashier was super nice and gave me box afterwards anyway. I would most likely come back to try different drink and pizzas.

A plain slice.

Very New Yorky! Is that a Californian faux pas? Like Frisco and San Fran to this boy from the City? Faux or Fact, it's how I felt. I'm not a Manhattan expat like some of my yelp fam. My only claim to East Coast pizza cred is that I did do a trip to the Big Apple just to sample the pizza--twice. One concentrating on Manhattan and another on Brooklyn. My fave was Joe's Pizza on Carmine. That is my NY canon slice. Bibo's isn't Joe's, but it's in the same area code (figuratively of course. Go 408!). The look, the size and, of course, the taste. The notes of mozzarella, tomato sauce, grease level, and, of course, the crust. The quintessential for me: It had the crunch upon the bite. Unfortunately, it didn't have the coup de grace (is there an Italian equivalent?)--it didn't crack when folded. But the crunch made it close. Arinell (in Berkeley) you retain your Manhattan-style crown in my catalog. I ordered a "plain slice" as I was taught to say in NYC. The woman at the register actually knew I meant plain cheese without saying a word! I go to all these Bay Area pizza places that claim to be absolutely authentic NY style with such anticipation. Then I try to order like I'm in NY, and I get this puzzled look and the inevitable, "Do you mean a cheese slice?" As the air in my balloon fizzles, I realize I've fallen again for some ad hype. Or this person is a new hire, who clearly is more from the West Coast than the East. And the slice I get usually matches my fizzled expectations. But not at Bibo's. Here even the Big Screens had a NY Mets game. But, honestly, I'm not sure if it were because it's a) A Mets game; b) They were playing the Giants; c) Both; d) It was the only game still being played on a Sunday night or e) All of the above. But I'll give Bibo's the benefit of the doubt. The wall art also spoke of NY. And so did my fresh pepperoni slice with it's warm trickle of orange grease onto the paper plate. Mmm, so tasty, just thinking about it gives me dream bubbles... ...I see the jagged peaks of the Gotham skyline. I feel the subtle rumble of the crowded 6 train. I hear the soothing sax man by the bustling Met steps. Don't hate me Billy Joel, but Bibo's totally put me in a New Yorky state of mind....

I was in the area craving pizza so I checked this place out. The inside is actually quite big so it does provide comfortable seating. The service was nice and friendly. The pizza was delicious. It had lots of cheese and was very cheesy and warm. The crust was thin and flaky which it made it good. The only thing was that they were a bit cheap with the pepperoni. But overall great spot!

I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to claim the feee pizza from a Shark's game promo. There are things to like about this place despite my 1 star review. They hire a bunch of youngsters who seem to have fun making pizza. Reminds me of growing up in a small town and it's nice to see places like this. The service is admirable. Love to see that. Plenty of people come in for takeout orders as I waited for my slice of pepperoni. Not many people eat in. Two people were at the bar. A couple sat at a table. They have 3 or four TVs but none of them were playing the Shark's game. Kind of upsetting given they have a location at the SAP Center. So the pizza was not good. Perhaps it was just a one off thing. But come on this slice is obviously overcooked and dry. I know the pizza was free but hopefully that had nothing to do with it.

Bibo's Garlic Chicken Pizza

Prob one of the best pizza spots I've been to in SJ! I found them on Yelp while craving a slice of pizza. Their garlic chicken looked enticing, so we ended up ordering an XL of that! Online ordering is super easy and convenient. We placed an order on the weekend and it took about 30-40 minutes though, so be prepared for a longer wait. I loooved how thin and crispy the crust was. The pizza itself did seem a little bland in a way--while the ingredients like the chicken, bacon, and garlic came through, it just felt like it was missing something. I still think that they're a solid spot if you prefer thin and crispy pizzas though!

Super cute AND delicious spot in an unsuspecting plaza. The pizza and wings were great, food came out quickly, and the choice of indoor or outdoor seating was great!

Cheese pizza

I love the cheese pizza. I'm from NYC and been looking for a real New York pizza and I think after so many years I think I found it. The crust is really good, it's very very thin and chewy, crispy and crunchy not soggy. I ate it in the restaurant and the crust did not get soft after it cooled down. We bought it home and ate it cold and it still tastes delicious. Next time, I'll ask for maybe a little more sauce on it and if they can a tad less salt but definitely will be back again and again.

Whenever I feel like having pizza I just go straight here. I don't even bother searching around or trying something new. This place is the best in the South Bay. It's spacious inside and it's family friendly. Although I have never sat down to eat there before. I have only ordered and picked up to go. It depends when you go because sometimes it can be super busy. Even for pick up orders you would need to wait a bit because the line is long. I always get the meatza. It has so much meat. I have also tried pesto chicken and their pesto cheese bread. This place never disappoints.

Bibo's NY Pizza Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Bibo's NY Pizza

Do they deliver?

Yes, through various delivery apps, like Uber Eats.

Can I order just a slice?

Yes!

Does Bibo's carry large pizzas?

Yes

Till what time is this place open?

Is there a parking lot behind the business?

Theresa is a large shopping centre parking Lotus in frontera. The parking spaces directly in front have been converted to an open air outdoor dining area with a open air roof.

Do they have vegan cheese?

Does CA not have carry out specials? Almost very pizza place in other states has a carry out special..seems like people here are confused when I ask this?

They sale by the pie or the slice, there is no discount to eat in or take out.

Is this the best Ny pizza around? Is there better pizza in South Bay even if it's not NY style?

Slice of NY on Stevens Creek is my favorite (there's also one in Sunnyvale).
