Deep dish , half chop and half pesto chicken

Sadly Blue Line has gone from great to meh. The place is gotten even dirtier with lots of flies and other flying bugs bothering people. Today's server was just barely doing her job. No friendly and cheerful mood, kinda going through the motions. The spinach and beet salad was actually good. But the pizza was lacking. The crust got thinner and crispy to the point of being burnt cardboard. There was lots of cheese but all tasteless mozzarella. The chicken tasted bland and boiled, and there was a shortage of "chop" in the Chicago chop. Overall it seemed like they got cheap and skimpy with the ingredients. It's kind of sad. I loved this place but I can't recommend anymore.

Ohh woe is me.... Blueline usually does a fantastic job. Tonight they were out of my usual Aphrodite pizza. I took a chance on the Around the Garden pizza .... worst ever. Why? Because it is not pizza. It's dry crust with veggies thrown on top. You pick up a piece and everything falls off because nothing is holding it together....like pizza. See picture. Great idea, bad design.

We dined again based on a good memory from the last visit, but we were not impressed with the pizza. Thin crust was crispy but oily. It's like a thin batter deeppfried hard and not a pizza crust we expected. Granted some people may enjoy this kind of crust but not for us. We expected harvest bland (vegan) to be a lighter fair but it was even heavier than the honey sausage pizza. Obviously the pizza crust is intended as thin and hard crunchy. You may like it but just be warned. It's a matter of preference.

    Small Tipsy Pig

I heard from a few different people that this was one of the best pizza places in the area but unfortunately I'm not sure it lived up to the hype. Granted, I got take out, so maybe it just didn't travel well. I also can't speak to the ambiance, service or drinks. I ordered the Tipsy Pig and my boyfriend ordered a pepperoni pizza, both thin crust. We both ordered the small size, which was perfect for two really hungry people. The thin crust was hard and tough though! Honestly, I'd take thin crust at a cheap chain restaurant over this. The Tipsy Pig was a fun flavor combination that you don't see everywhere, so I'm glad I tried it, but it was a little dry (felt like there was no crema/ sauce). The menu had some other unique specialty pizzas but lacked common combinations like prosciutto / fig, which was a bit of a turn-off for me personally. Hope this was just an off night for Blue Line!

Food: The food is great. Their pizzas come out fresh and hot. I almost ate a whole pizza by myself it was that delicious, and I would definitely recommend eating here. Service: It was okay. The place was busy. We had to flag down a server to get the kids' food we ordered after everyone else's food had been brought out. It took a while when kids' food usually comes out first. Other than that, it was good. Ambiance. It's the corner restaurant at the end of the block. Parking in their lot is sparse. On busy nights, parking in general in this area is a nightmare. The inside of the restaurant is fun and cleans. There are lots of tables.

Really wanted to like this place since it's a good location downtown Campbell but the pizza crust was not good and I waited an entire hour for my pizza. I got the deep dish and the crust was very hard and dense. My husband and I were the only people in the entire restaurant and it still took an hour to get our pizza. Maybe I should have gotten tomatoes sauce but I wanted to try something different and got the garlic oil sauce (they were out of the white sauce) and truffle oil. I did not taste any garlic or truffles. The server was very nice so maybe only go here if you have a lot of time to kill.

Large Deep Dish, half Tipsy Pig half Blue Line + sausage
    Ethan W.

I was craving deep dish pizza for no good reason at all. Ordered online and scheduled a pick up. I ordered a large half and half tipsy pig and blue line (with added Italian sausage). My favorite is definitely the tipsy pig, which is a unique take on a pizza flavor, but the blue line ticks the boxes for a more traditional pizza. Really good crispy cornmeal crust which is well designed to contain the pie. The crust is pretty thick at the heel of the slice, which can be a little tough to chew on or cut through. They do a really good job here of making a pizza that doesn't spill out or disintegrate when you pull a slice, which I find to be a struggle sometimes with deep dish pizza. Overall, high marks! 1 gripe which I won't deduct from my rating for: $1 for a side of ranch yielded 2 little half filled sauce cups. The ranch is good, but it's not enough for a whole large pizza. They have a nice space in downtown Campbell, next time I might come here and sit inside for a meal.

    Chicago style Half and Half
    Sharan N.

Chicago style is must have! Tequila Pig was our favorite. Interesting beer menu, the Blueberry IPA was surprisingly good. The place is quite spacious and was decently filled up on Saturday noon. The service was great, returned to table multiple times for water refills and if we have any questions.

Our food came out quickly, which was a huge plus. My son ordered the Caesar salad and the Caesar wrap, and both were very tasty. I ordered the furikake salmon bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce really brought everything together, it was flavorful and brought the dish together. The sushi rice had the perfect texture and tasted great, and the salmon paired really well with all the components. It was one of those meals where every bite just works. What also stood out was the attentiveness of the staff, they checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better, and picked up our trays when we were finished. There has been a couple of instances where it's been super awkward interacting with team members. It was noticed that employees were not changing their gloves as frequent as would be expected. Staff use the same gloves to touch surfaces through out the work station then move right to handling food. One instance I asked that gloves be changed which caused a sense of unpleasantness from said staff member. Who then proceeded to make my wrap extra small. Another time, a Chicken Caesar Wrap was ordered where egg an bacon was added. This was very troubling as it was not noticed until after a few bites were taken. I've not eaten pork in many years. Unfortunately, there is no way of contacting a manager by phone. I went in to speak someone in person who was kind enough to remake the order. Last night, I went in for a Caesar Wrap and tried to request changing of gloves in a discreet way. Somehow there was a confusion which confused the request as an Allergy? A couple of staff members spoke amongst themselves which was pretty awkward. It was requested that gloves be changed that seems to be a trigger? The lady continued making the order then stopped to check me out. To much dismay, immediately began rolling the wrap together. By this point, It was too much. I ate the inside of the wrap only. It's a huge shame but moving forward I'll only order food which is minimally touched by employees. This will spare the ordeal of asking that gloves be changed? One more bit of observation is that to go orders for salad have an slip sitting right onto food bowls.

I am watching my weight and fried chicken probably is not the best choice for that. Starbird gave me a free $10 reward after my first purchase. I would probably go back and get either a salad or the brussels sprouts again. They do have the option of grilled chicken on a salad, so that's probably what I would get. The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. 1st time here. A friend invited me to join her, and said it was where many of her co-workers ate…read more The short version is: my meal was very sub-par, and way over-priced. The details: I normally don't eat a lot of meat, so I chose the Falafel Salad. It came with extremely little lettuce, plus a few olives (which I don't eat), onions (which I also eat sparingly), tomatoes, cucumbers, and the falafel balls. Oh! And there was feta cheese, but those were such miniscule pieces, and so few, that I wouldn't have remembered it was supposed to be part of the salad, if I didn't just pull up a photo online with their ordering system. What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. That is more in-line price-wise with what you get, based upon my meal. With most of the meals around $20 for lunch, I feel they were very over-priced. I also asked my friend if she'd like to split a Baklava. They had a pistachio one & chocolate one. My friend wanted to try the chocolate one, so I bought that. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. I only have the 1 meal to review, but it does not encourage me to try it again. Overpriced & not a fulfilling meal.

Just never got around to working a review before. Went early on a Saturday evening recently and was surprised to not have to wait. We split a Bibb lettuce salad that was simple, refreshing and perfect. A tiny pea fritter was the very definition of a small bite, and while it wasn't what I expected, it was crisp and tender. Grilled artichoke was one of the best I have ever had. (Just wish they had been explicit on the menu that it was a half a grilled artichoke). Cocktails were up to their usual high standard -- rye Manhattan for the BF and clarified milk punch for me. I don't get out much these days and I rarely drink alcohol, but is $20 a lot for a cocktail? Or is that normal now? They were great though. BF got the ribeye with morels, which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender. I had the burger, which was more exciting than it sounds, dressed with a wild combo of veggies, cheese and bacon while still managing to be harmonious and fresh tasting. Side of fries were crisp and tasty, though not as perfectly hot as I would ideally wish. Because the burger was late coming out, or server (Bernardo I think?) comped us an amazing little dish of vanilla soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, along with the butterscotch pudding that we ordered. The pudding didn't have the strong butterscotch flavor that I hoped for, but the vanilla ice cream stole the dessert show. OCK isn't a place I can afford often, but I still really like it. I appreciate the creativity of the dishes, the quality ingredients, and the bar. And the old-school shopping center vibe of the Pruneyard is low key festive and garden-like.
