Blue Line pizza has been a family favorite for years! We love the thin crust, super crispy but not dry or too tough. I like trying out a different specialty pizza every time, but so far our favorites are the bbq chicken, brass monkey, tipsy pig and the hot honey sausage. I always do a mobile order which makes everything super easy. My order is always ready on time and the servers are super kind when helping me out, giving me plenty of cheese, pepper and plates. This was my first visit to Blue Line pizza. The pizza was exceptional, crunchy, well baked crust, all the ingredients I ordered, deep dish cooked thoroughly and sliced perfectly. Devon my server at pick up was gregarious, professional and delivered that old fashioned customer service reminiscent of the 1970s. I ordered online, on a Monday at 3pm, to avoid any lunch or dinner crowd. I ordered a make your own larger double pepperoni, extra cheese and pineapple deep dish pizza. On Monday afternoon, parking in their lot was effortless. The restaurant was clean and empty at 3:45pm. I was the only customer and Devon was the Blue Line Pizza staff member who got my custom pizza and she offered cheese and peppers for my pizza as she got the paper plates I requested. This deep dish pizza is the best I have had in the Bay Area. I'm ordering again for the second time this month. Blue Line Pizza is my new default pizza for the LG area. read more

The wife and I stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday and were surprised that there was no one else in the restaurant. To be fair, it is at the end of the downtown area of Campbell Avenue, but we didn't think the lack of customers was a good sign. But the food and service turned out to be pretty decent. I had a decent cocktail and the pizza was pretty good, not the best I've had but certainly not bad. Sadly Blue Line has gone from great to meh. The place is gotten even dirtier with lots of flies and other flying bugs bothering people. Today's server was just barely doing her job. No friendly and cheerful mood, kinda going through the motions. The spinach and beet salad was actually good. But the pizza was lacking. The crust got thinner and crispy to the point of being burnt cardboard. There was lots of cheese but all tasteless mozzarella. The chicken tasted bland and boiled, and there was a shortage of "chop" in the Chicago chop. Overall it seemed like they got cheap and skimpy with the ingredients. It's kind of sad. Ohh woe is me.... Blueline usually does a fantastic job. Tonight they were out of my usual Aphrodite pizza. I took a chance on the Around the Garden pizza .... worst ever. Why? We dined again based on a good memory from the last visit, but we were not impressed with the pizza. Thin crust was crispy but oily. It's like a thin batter deeppfried hard and not a pizza crust we expected. Granted some people may enjoy this kind of crust but not for us. We expected harvest bland (vegan) to be a lighter fair but it was even heavier than the honey sausage pizza. Obviously the pizza crust is intended as thin and hard crunchy. I heard from a few different people that this was one of the best pizza places in the area but unfortunately I'm not sure it lived up to the hype. Granted, I got take out, so maybe it just didn't travel well. I also can't speak to the ambiance, service or drinks. I ordered the Tipsy Pig and my boyfriend ordered a pepperoni pizza, both thin crust. We both ordered the small size, which was perfect for two really hungry people. The thin crust was hard and tough though! Honestly, I'd take thin crust at a cheap chain restaurant over this. The Tipsy Pig was a fun flavor combination that you don't see everywhere, so I'm glad I tried it, but it was a little dry (felt like there was no crema/ sauce). The menu had some other unique specialty pizzas but lacked common combinations like prosciutto / fig, which was a bit of a turn-off for me personally. Really wanted to like this place since it's a good location downtown Campbell but the pizza crust was not good and I waited an entire hour for my pizza. I got the deep dish and the crust was very hard and dense. My husband and I were the only people in the entire restaurant and it still took an hour to get our pizza. Maybe I should have gotten tomatoes sauce but I wanted to try something different and got the garlic oil sauce (they were out of the white sauce) and truffle oil. I was craving deep dish pizza for no good reason at all. Ordered online and scheduled a pick up. I ordered a large half and half tipsy pig and blue line (with added Italian sausage). My favorite is definitely the tipsy pig, which is a unique take on a pizza flavor, but the blue line ticks the boxes for a more traditional pizza. Really good crispy cornmeal crust which is well designed to contain the pie. The crust is pretty thick at the heel of the slice, which can be a little tough to chew on or cut through. They do a really good job here of making a pizza that doesn't spill out or disintegrate when you pull a slice, which I find to be a struggle sometimes with deep dish pizza. Overall, high marks! 1 gripe which I won't deduct from my rating for: $1 for a side of ranch yielded 2 little half filled sauce cups. The ranch is good, but it's not enough for a whole large pizza. They have a nice space in downtown Campbell, next time I might come here and sit inside for a meal. read more

They have a nice bar as well with some good beers on tap. This time we just did takeout which is also easy, park in the lot next to the restaurant and go in the side door, I've always found our pizza is ready at the time on the order. I'll be totally honest. My first impression of the food was that it was overpriced and possibly overhyped. Everyone, and I mean *everyone* had recommended this place, so when we finally got around to trying it, expectations were high. I ordered a large, grandma-crust square pizza. I kept it simple - pepperoni with extra cheese. I also got a side of pretzels because who doesn't like pretzels? It was like, $60 for this food - and it didn't even look like it'd be enough for 2 people. Well, we were wrong! We did devour the pretzels (which were fantastic, by the way) - and we couldn't even finish the pizza that appeared deceivingly small but was actually big and filling. I thought to myself, "Ok, that was a rollercoaster. But I probably won't do that again." Fast forward to a week later, and I was craving it. It's now on my main pizza rotation because it's very good. It's a little pricey, but I'd say it's worth it. We didn't eat at the restaurant either time, but I did pick up my order and the ambience appeared lively and fun, if not a bit loud and overcrowded. Cute little parking spot on the side entrance, but it's very very easy to miss. The interior is okay, not too fancy or anything of the sort. The table set up was cute though. To touch base on what we ate, I thought it was cute that my BF took the initiative to devour in his cravings for Pizza for our Valentines Day Lunch. Meanwhile, I was a bit skeptical because I still have an issue with Pizza that's not from NY being that I'm originally from the East Coast. Also, I'm not one to enjoy deep dish pizza either, no shade to my Chicagoan's. However, the deep dish pizza here did change my mind. Both my BF and I rate it a 7/10 which is high for us. Stopped in for lunch, and was surprised to see the place completely empty. Might have been because of the rainy weather, but still felt a little strange. However we were seated quickly and given time to look over the menus. Here's what we got: Butternut Squash Salad: the portion was very generous for a small salad, which was much appreciated. I added the chicken to it so the salad ended up being very filling. However I think it could have used a little more dressing as most of it sat on the upper half of the salad, and I think they forgot to add the walnuts to the salad which was a little disappointing. Other than that it had a decent flavor, but not the best specialty salad I've ever had. Brussel Sprout appetizer: a little disappointing. The hot honey dressing flavor really just didn't come through at all, and the cheese on top was cut too big and didn't mealy properly (resulting in chucks of cheese in some bites, and none in others). The sprouts were cooked very well, but I just was missing the hot honey flavor. Definitely didn't live up to the expectations that it promised on the menu. Personal margarita thin crust pizza: great thin crust, and good flavor, but nothing amazing. Just a simple pizza. Personal mushroom and pepperoni pizza: similar to the other pizza, it was good, but nothing super amazing. A little surprising for a restaurant with the word 'pizza' in their name to not have better more flavor packed pizzas. Aside from the food, the service was a little slow despite us being one of two parties in the restaurant. Our server only came to take our order, and then a different server dropped off our food. No drink refills or check ins. In addition, when our food came out after about 15 min, it was a little confusing. The brussel sprouts and the salad came out together, and the server dropping of the food couldn't seem to remember what food she was giving us, saying that she had the asparagus appetizer and lemon citrus salad. Not a big deal but a little confusing. After this, we waited another ten min for the pizzas to come out. By the time the other half of the entrees came out, the salad entree was finished. I personally would have like the food to all have been brought out at once, as is normal for groups eating together. Restaurant was very upscale and clean, but overall the food and service missed the mark in our opinion. Went here for a early dinner on New Years Eve before heading to the city for fireworks. The place was about 40% full. Our Greek deep dish was extremely good and tasty. Perfect pizza with yummarinara. Our friends think crust chicken was apparently good too. We ordered the cauliflower appetizer which was a big disappointment. One thing to note that they had an extensive cocktail list but when I ordered a vodka mule I got a canned drink. The server said the only thing they made in house was an old fashioned which I got instead but it was just straight up bourbon. A positive about the meatballs- they are all beef, seasoned well, and covered in melted cheese. Downside is that they are a little fatty chewing through them. I only got to try the blue line pizza and it was fine, a little bland, the produce was not very flavorful, but the crust is oily and yummy. The inside of the restaurant has this industrial/modern look with small tables. With 3 of our pizzas and all of our plates it felt a little crowded. Our server was also not very attentive. We came here for dinner on Monday and were seated right away. The servers were all really nice, but service was slow and the food was just okay. We waited at least half an hour for our pizza. When it arrived, it was literally room temperature so I'm guessing it was sitting there for a while. It was also missing two toppings listed on the menu item. Got together with friends midweek, and my friend picked up a few pizzas for takeout from Blue Line. He likes to order them half baked, then finish them off at home, and it worked out perfectly as we had a little dinner party at his place. I tried both the Chicago Chop and Blue Line "little star" and concluded that this is some of the best pizza in the bay area (how am I just discovering this now?!?). Savory chunks of meat (especially that italian sausage!), and aromatic veggies, like sauteed mushrooms, onions, and garlic, smothered in melted cheese, and topped off with a thick layer of some of the tastiest marinara sauce I've ever had, a nice blend of spices. This explosion of flavor loaded onto a crisp and light, buttery deep dish crust! Wow, it was so good, every single ingredient, every single bite. What's more, they offer different options to meet various dietary preferences and needs (vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and nut-free). I don't know if I just got lucky, but if it's like this everyday at Blue Line, I think I found my new favorite pizza :D read more
