Acceptable (but not great) pizza, terrible vibe and attitude. Went in last week for two overpriced pizzas. Picked them up, said "Thank you sir" to the person behind the counter, who got offended at this and scolded me saying "ACTUALLY, IT'S NOT SIR" at me before stalking off into the back. . I took my pizza and left. No idea why this happened, do not care. Quick reminder that pizza is a commodity which can be bought anywhere. If you treat your customers with contempt, they will leave your business and get pizza somewhere else. They will also leave negative reviews far and wide. A further reminder that people do not like being scolded when they are giving you money for your product. The food business is the hospitality business, and this place is less than hospitable. Legends pizza down the road is just as good if not better, and I have to be yelled at by anyone at Legends. Really impressed with this place. Their pizza is very close to authentic New York-style pizza -- thin crust, crispy on the bottom, but still soft and chewy enough to fold. The crust itself has great flavor, which makes a huge difference. The sauce is also really good, with a nice tomato flavor and just the right amount of seasoning. The cheese tastes fresh and has a great balance with the sauce -- not too greasy or overloaded. Everything works together really well. It's actually hard to find a good NY-style pizza around here, and this one definitely hits the spot. Fresh, simple, flavorful, and made the way pizza should be. Will definitely be back! read more

Went in there right after the 49ers game (we won) ! and got 2 slices of pepperoni pizza. It was delicious. Thin crust. I highly recommend it esp because you can just get slices of pizza if you don't want a whole pizza. They also gave me a free drink!! Stopped by Freshest Pizza today and it was definitely fresh!! They have only been open for a week and they are currently having their soft opening. Their menu is small for now but that will change in the upcoming weeks. They are currently offering 9 different types of 14" pizzas, Caesar salad, French fries, chicken wings, as well as canned and bottled beverages. I called ahead and ordered a 14" combination pizza. He said it would be ready in 20 minutes. They are located in the Almaden Via Valiente Plaza. There is plenty of parking in the front. I live about 1 1/2 miles from them so I got there fast. My pizza was being cut up when I walked in. It's a spacious place with four tables for dining in. So you can eat your pizza there or take it home. The owner, Rick, was very friendly. He let me pick a beverage for free, which was really nice. The 14" combination was $29.99 plus tax. The pizza was still very hot and fresh when I got home. My husband loved the crust. They claim this is a New York style pizza. The crust is much thinner than Legends and Via Mia. Also, the crust has a nice chew to it. The sauce was very good. The toppings were fresh and very tasty, but not as plentiful as I would have liked for the price and size of the pizza. The pizza also seemed small for a "14 large. Overall, the pizza is delicious and I'm happy there is a pizza spot so close to home. I just hope they can be more generous with their toppings. I'm looking forward to seeing their business grow as well as their menu offerings. I love supporting our local businesses. read more

Found this place on DoorDash; ordered for pickup. I set it for a future time - when I arrived, it was fresh and piping hot. Sat down to eat it, definitely tasted fresh. The woman greeted me and was working solo taking orders and making pizzas. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it is a decent spot if you are in the Almaden area. It's in an unsuspecting plaza, next to Almaden Academy of Music. Plenty of parking. read more

I was surprised to see "Now Open" signs outside this old pizza place and thought it was the same store as a few years ago. Turns out a new place is in town. While we have Legends and Amato not too far, this one will be a great place for the local kids to grab a slice after school. I believe they are still in their soft opening phase, but so far, the interior looks refreshed, and not too many tables for seating. The owner was very friendly and greeted my partner who ordered a half combo half margherita pizza. I ended up picking up the pizza much later after running some errands, and was also greeted nicely. When I described the order, the owner knew right away and gave me a box, and complimentary soda which was a nice surprise. As I left, there were a couple of kids eating pizza at the shop, and a stream of young teens also making their way in. We took the pizza home and no major complaints. Both sides of the pizza were good. The combo had a fair amount of ingredients, but I did wish for just a few more pieces of basil on the margherita side. The center of the pie was thin and perhaps a little floppy since we picked up the pizza late, but the outer crusts were thick and had a nice chewy consistency that I like. Upon first bite of the combo, there was a sweetness to the tomato sauce, but it was nicely balanced with the pepperoni and sausage. I would say prices were fairly consistent compared to the other local pizza shops. I hope this place does well; it'll be nice to have more shops back in this plaza. read more

I came here with a few friends today and wasn't sure what to expect since it was in a shopping center that didn't have a lot of businesses. It is absolutely a hidden treasure... a mile south of the Safeway on Almaden Expwy! The pizza was perfectly seasoned, and the crust was delicious. One of the best pizzas I've eaten because the crust was not too thick.. I will definitely come back. The owner came and introduced himself and he was very nice. I ordered the Pepperoni & Italian Sausage Pizza, which clearly does NOT list mushrooms as an ingredient. When I received it covered in mushrooms, I went back and showed them their own menu, but they insisted it comes with mushrooms and made me wait another 30 minutes. While I waited, I heard the employees saying, "Why wouldn't it come with mushrooms?" and also heard them insult an older lady after she walked out. The remake was still wrong. They removed the mushrooms but forgot my onions, extra pepperoni, and extra cheese. Mistakes happen, but the rude attitude and getting my order wrong twice was unacceptable. They lost a customer. Really good New York-style pizza. The dough is easily my favorite part, it has that perfect chewiness while still being crisp, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and good quality. My only complaint is that they really skimp on the toppings. I ordered double pepperoni, and it looked more like a regular pepperoni pizza from most other places. recently visited this restaurant, and you can tell it's brand new I believe it was another place before, and they've clearly reopened under new ownership or concept. It's very bare bones: just a couple of tables and chairs, and you order via a kiosk. I found the kiosk a little cumbersome. I would have preferred to just order from the guy sitting right there at the register rather than fumbling with a touchscreen. As for the food the pizza was fresh and hot, which I appreciated. However, the crust on my pie was not fully cooked on the bottom, leaving it a bit soggy. That was a mild disappointment. The standout, though, were the chicken wings hot honey barbecue, baked, and absolutely delicious. I'd go back just for those. My order took about 20 minutes, which felt reasonable. Easy, relaxing place to pick up some great pizza. Modest place but their pizza is delicious. The crust is not too thick or bread-y, which I love.
