Finally some amazing Mediterranean food!…read more We moved to the PNW from SoCal about 4 years ago and it has been so hard to find good Mediterranean food! There was a spot in Cap Hill that we used to love to order takeout from, but we live in White Center now and that is just too far. We decided to give this place a shot and we were so glad we were. The ambiance is great! Quaint, nice and colorful, and the service was so great! Our server (forgot her name but I think it started with a Z?) was super attentive, made some great recommendations and was so friendly. I always say I go to a place for good food, I go back because of the service. We had the sampler appetizer which was delicious and everything tasted so fresh. For entrees we each ordered the Mesopotamian lamb and beef with the basmati rice. Everything was excellent! The entree tasted so comforting like a grandma made it. And the simple side salad that came with it, that dressing I could eat just straight! Note, this is Turkish style Mediterranean food so you won't see the same style as say a Greek or a Lebanese style restaurant, but it was still fantastic! Note, the wine list was so different! Nothing from the US (which I'm okay with). I had the Portuguese vinho verde and it was nice and crisp and everything that I want in a vinho verde. I can't wait to come back to this place.

It also had pickles in it, which was interesting--but I actually didn't mind that part since I like pickles anyway. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because my husband's order wasn't made correctly. So we did a large butter chicken pizza 24 wings and cheese bread separately. Our total for 1 large pizza, 24 wings and small cheese bread was $69 and change with tip. I personally was dissatisfied with the flavors. Temperature was OK on everything except the cheese bread. By the time we got home the cheese bread was colder than everything else so I'm assuming it probably came out first. Whatever you have in your mind when I say the words, "cheese bread"... I promise this bread is particularly nothing like what you're thinking. Usually images of melty cheese pulls, crispy edges, garlic, buttery flavor, none of that was found here. Just congealed mozzarella cheese on top of bread. That's it. No flavor other than, well, cheese. The wings were also a little bit of a let down. They were cooked really well! I will give them that. Tender, juicy! Just the flavor was nothing other than roasted chicken. We got 12 garlic parmesan, and 12 tandoori. The tandoori ones had an ever so slight spice flavor but each were ultimately indistinguishable from the two flavor choices. What I really loved was how they balanced everything, the green peppers and tomatoes added this perfect freshness, and the red onions gave just enough zing to keep things interesting.
