Still the best cleaners. We have since moved out to Florence, Texas and I still drive all the way in to drop my clothes off at round rock cleaners. They are one of the rare cleaners that do everything in house. Their prices are also not outrageous. I have been all over round rock and Georgetown trying to find a cleaners that is comparable and for what they charge you can buy a new outfit. The owner knows everyone by name. read more

I was actually looking for a good dry cleaner to do my comforter and I wasn't sure about this one because the review were pretty low so I was scared to take my comforter in because it was so expensive. but it turned out to be just fine and I can relax and actually take it back. Comet Cleaners did a great job! I took in 6 shirts that really needed some love, and they got it. They came back with no spots or stains and just the right amount of starch. It was roughly $15 for 6 dress shirts, and I'll be happy to pay it again. They are locally owned and have been in this location for a long time, so that is always a plus. I actually just used them for the 1st time, to say I'm unimpressed is an understatement, I took in 3 items 1 shirt to be pressed and have a button replaced and 2 pairs of pants to be patched. The jeans had a small hole in the crotch, not only was the hole extended to where majority of the crotch got cut out and resewn but it was done with a different color jean + different color stitching, they're now unwearable. The kahkis had a hole on the back pocket that was no bigger than a quarter, they were sewn with a 6 in by 1 inch patch for a small spot, the stitching is super spotty and just looks terrible. I do not recommend this place for any alteration type work. read more

These guys just quietly, quickly and efficiently deliver great service over and over again. They have managed to treat spots that I was certain would lead to a total loss, they replace buttons without asking, and have just been an all-around great dry cleaning business that has taken care of our laundering needs for almost 15 years. Comet Cleaners (CC) offers dry cleaning, laundry, press only, professional stain removal services, and, alterations for all types of clothing. They even do on site leather cleaning. Most places contract out for leather, but, not these guys. Hell, they'll clean anything from suits to bedding to scarfs! Prices are cheaper than Jack Brown and they offer same day service. I use them for laundering our shirts. $1.79 per shirt and they will either fold it for you or hang it. The service here is always friendly and they do "Green Drycleaning", which is good for the environment. I didn't understand what that was so I asked and the guy was very thorough in explaining it. He even showed me the machine! Speaking of machines, when you walk in this place it looks like a sweat shop dive from the 1940's era. Not that I've actually seen one of those, but, if I did I'm sure it would like this. Clothing everywhere. In bins, hanging from the ceiling, fitted on the pressors (if that's what you call those things that they place the clothes on), and, bagged and hanging on the assembly line awaiting pick up. What I don't like is there are no prices posted anywhere. You have ask about everything. Small price to pay for great cheap service! Whatever you want cleaned, I'll bet these guys can do it cheaper and better than most competitors. The owner told me that they strive to keep their prices low and their customer count high. I have used this cleaner for the 2 1/2 years I'm living in this area. Things always look good after they are done...my shirts look nice and the creases in my slacks perfect. Not only that, but I refer to Vince as the Stainmaster. He performed some kind of magic on a brand new blouse that I stained with grease from grilled fish. Went in at 10:00am, to get one shirt cleaned. Ask for one hour service, because I had to leave for the airport at 2pm. Was told by attendant, no problem, ready in 1 hour. Ran an errand to the bank, went and ate breakfast, and returned at 12noon. Same attendant tells me that it would be 5pm before I could get the shirt. Owner comes up front, and says the shirt was in the washer, could not stop it, and shirt would not be ready until after 5pm. Nice. Never again. There are way to many cleaners out there to have to deal with these folks. Told them I would not be back in town until Sunday. Now the question is, will I get my shirt back at all? I have been going here for over 3 years now. Left jack brown because of lack of attention. If their are stains they will get them out. As I'm pulling in I can see her start to pull my order. Prices are very reasonable. Same day service is very convenient with a husband traveling all the time. They also will fix hemlines and missing buttons. I wouldn't go anywhere else!! Comet cleaners will pull your garment in a mad dash to unbutton before laundering. When this rips the buttons off collars, they will wash, press, and have you pay as if nothing had happened or tag it as defective indicating you brought it in that way. If you confront them they will blame you for careless handling of your clothing. They refuse to take responsibility by repairing, replacing buttons, or informing you except to say you are to blame. Cannot recommend this establishment. read more

I was a loyal customer for many years but in the past few months their quality has declined. They damaged the collars on two shirts they blamed it on the manufacturer stating that one layer of the collar shrunk. I started getting shirts back with new stains on them that were not there when i took them in and they had to be re-washed. They consistently could not press the collar on my shirts to a correct fold they blamed the machines that they use to press the shirts. I asked them to correct the problem and they told me they would have to start charging me dry cleaning pricing to hand press the shirt collars. Now they have destroyed another shirt and again are blaming the manufacturer for using glue in the collar. I don't know what key employee they lost or if they are pushing the equipment to temperatures that are too high for the clothing but to pick fights with customers who have supported them for years is my last straw. Don't' take your clothes to this cleaner unless you want to support poor quality and poor business management. read more
