Wanting to try out the Indian cuisine first, Mango Lassi, Lamb chops -one of the Tandoor options, Lamb Biryani. Lassi was refreshing and will balanced. Lamb chops were delicious. It went so well with the freshness mint chutney as well, but great just by itself. I wonder if a Naan would have paired well with it. Ajmeri biryani was again different and a new variation of Biryani( out of so many) that I tried. It was again delicious and had a mix of flavors to it, maybe even a hint of fried rice of some kind to it to as well. Loved the presentation. Second visit called for the Indo-Chinese Hakka cuisine. Chicken wings were flavorful with really good texture. Chicken munchurian was as good as I remembered it from my childhood experience. Chicken szechuan noodles was just what I expected it to be with the flavor as well. Both of them paired nicely. The first visit service was really good, but it suffered to a 2 stars during the next visit. No one stopped by to pick up the menu, bring plates, pick up the used appetizer plates and drinks cups to make space for the entrée on a small table. They left the food on the next table for us. Someone who was not attending our table finally refilled the water (with was nice), but it was such a strange experience with service, quite different from the previous visit. That's the only reason for 4 stars. Also Masala Chai was good, but not at par with the food and it wasn't as hot.

Made a reservation for 2 people at 8pm and was not seated until a bit after 8:20pm. They did not offer anything to make up for the wait. It looked like they gave our table away on accident because there was a couple that had just sat down. And we were about 10 min early so it's not that we were late and they gave it away. It would have been nice to at least have offered a drink or dessert, especially since there is not standing space/waiting room so you have to awkwardly hover near the front of the place. What was even more annoying is when we finally sat, they actually came to take orders from a table that sat down AFTER us first. Again, not sure if the waitresses were new but it was getting super late and we had just driven for 3 hours so we're hungry and had an early flight the next day and still had to go return our rental at the airport and check-in to the hotel. Hence, we came to a place that had a reservation. I ordered a herbal tea (Gulaabo) to start with since I love Rose flavor and then the Chaat Papri to hold us over. It took a while for even that to come out because as soon as it did come, 5 min later our actual dishes came out and there was very little space on the table. I ordered the Saffron lamb Korma and my coworker had the Chicken Tikka Masala. The lamb was perfection and the curry sauce amazing. The saffron flavors really blended well with the cashew creamy sauce and the lamb was so tender and absorbed the flavors so well. I had the spicy naan to eat it with and it was delicious. My coworker enjoyed her chicken tikka as well though the chicken could have been cut smaller so that it got a bit. Orr tender with the sauce. It took a while to get our check after we requested it right when the food came. Overall, satisfied with the food but not the service.

And if it were run by my childhood best friend, it'd be Brotherfromanothermother India. What to get: Chicken Tikka Masala with Roti or Rice What not to get: India-pendence from the bloody Brits, not without a lot of bloodshed first :( Ways to improve: Slightly lower prices, slightly shorter wait times It may take awhile for your wonderful, delicious Roti to be ready, but it's worth the wait. The lovely young woman serving here does so with a smile, and is as gracious and welcoming has her food is magnificent. Indian food is plentiful in Toronto, but few places blend the spices with fresh doughy roti as wonderfully and magnificently as Mother India. I think it is quite liberal use of the word mother, because I doubt too many Indian mothers can make their food taste this good. The Tikka Masala dish borrows from British Indian food, invented by immigrants to the UK from India, which itself borrows from the original Subcontinent dishes. The Canadian incarnation of this - complete with the wonderful floury slippery roti skins, and the piping hot blend of spices and chicken inside - is unmissable. If you haven't made your way out to the West end of town for some of the ethnic delights - Indian, Caribbean and many more - along Queen St W, then you have yet to truly experience the breadth and deliciousness of the magnificent food choices in Canada's largest city. And if it existed in a world where the bloody Brits had never invaded and colonized India in the first place, then it would be "Another India." But we can't undo the heinous actions of our past. Unfortunately, we also seem unable and unwilling to learn from them.

Service wise, staff try to be accommodating as best they can and food usually arrives at a reasonable time, even if you are coming as a big party. The restaurant is quite small however, nice quaint and very clean. We ordered a number of dishes: Chicken 65, The Spinach Paneer, Lamb Korma and Butter Chicken. The best way to describe the dish would be small bites of chicken covered in a pakora batter. So instead of onion its chicken. The Spinach Paneer was great. It had good flavor and had great texture. It paired nicely with the naan. The Butter Chicken was nice and creamy. It also had a nice a nice hint of sweetness. It was very good. I enjoyed eating it with the basmati rice. The star of the show was the lamb korma. The best part was the texture of the lamb. It was not overly gamey, and it melted in your mouth. The only slight knock on the food was the Naan could have been a little better. It was a little pita like. It wasn't bad, just not what I am used to. The service was great.
