Another day escaping the crowds at Olympia with a trip to Italy. Rosso was the perfect choice, with variety and flavor.
If you're thinking of charcuterie...yes: pick meats or cheese or, I think, both. You won't be able to resist that buffalo burrata (cheesy outside, milky middle). And for those lighter-fare type, the caprese doesn't sacrifice taste, and you still get those huge burrata. Beware the tomatoes are juicy enough to ruin your shirt (not a personal story by any means).
Should you make it past the first course without sleep, be overwhelmed with the pasta choices in your second course. All the classics: pasta and gnocchi, red and creamy gorgonzola sauce, ravioli ravioli ravioli. Plenty of potatoes and seasonal vegetables for all you who love that.
And you must return to taste the vast wine selection past working hours, accompanied by tiramisu, gelato, deconstructed cannolo, and of course a double-espresso nightcap.
Roll me out of there in a wine barrel with the Rosso address on it so I'll remember where to come back next time. read more
