Lunch menu is a great deal but unfortunately I didn't think the food was very good. For £14 including service you get two courses. The menu has three options for apps and I think seven for mains (3 pizzas and the rest are pastas). I opted for the caprese and the lasagna al Forno. The caprese was nice enough although non traditional with olives and sun dried tomatoes included. I thought the olive oil and balsamic could have been better quality and the mozzarella was weirdly cold, almost like it had been frozen and thawed. The lasagna was lacking in flavor although the pasta was cooked well. It was a good sized portion as well. Service was quick but not rushed. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside. Washrooms were okay although located downstairs in kinda a dodgy setting.

The presentation and ambience of Rocca are worthy of at least 4 stars. I struggled with rating this place as nothing was bad but nothing was spectacular either. The food was fresh, our server was good but it was lacking one key ingredient: flavor. We had such high hopes for this place with the nearly perfect Yelp reviews across the board so we were a tad disappointed when our pasta dishes both lacked flavor. With some fine-tuning this could easily be changed. Some of the good: the calamari was excellent. Flavor was on point with a light breading and seasoning and meaty calamari pieces. We also shared a bottle of red wine. Prices were reasonable and not inflated which is common in nicer establishments. My husband ordered the tortellini with lobster, prawns, and courgettes (zucchini). It was served with a butter sage and caper sauce. I had the ravioli burrata which was filled with mushrooms and burrata cheese in a butter and parmesan sauce. Nice plating, portion size, and presentation. Again everything was fresh but it was sadly lackluster. We passed on dessert and left full but a tad disappointed. With a few tweaks the meals we had could be phenomenal instead of mediocre.

We were immediately seated. At each table was an Italian wine with descriptions of the location of where it was made and pairing suggestions. Loved it! We had the Ossobuco Ravioli and the special which was similar to a clam linguini dubbed with white crab. The Goat Cheese and Caramelized onion Crostino was to die for! Everything was delicious. The best Panna Cotta we've had came from here! Five star food at a very reasonable price.

A nice Italian restaurant near South Kensington station. It's a lot bigger on the inside than it looks. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is good too. Arancini was slightly under seasoned, but very crunchy and nice. The selection of bread was really good. The pasta with pesto sauce was OK. It was good, but I'd prefer a bit punchier seasoning. But then, I am picky when it comes to pesto. For a proper sit-in restaurant, the price tag is reasonable. I would happily go back and try other dishes.

Friendly service and super quick. The decor here is very hip with a brick wall and some tables outdoors. We ordered the Americana pizza with the spicy smoked pepperoni (a little strong and salty but good). Prices are reasonable.

Located near South Kensington, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Natural History Museum, this is a great little Italian spot just off the beaten path. We walked in for lunch and they seated us on their "patio" which is their front door vestibule area. In hindsight, it was a little cold for that, but it was perfect once they closed the main doors. Our waiter was great, checking in on us often, and answering all of our questions about the menu. I had the prosciutto pizza and a glass of rosé. We also ordered the bread for the table, which was great. My pizza was alright, but a little on the soft side for me. Overall, it satisfied my craving for pizza, but didn't go above and beyond for me, food-wise.

First night in London and needed to find a place for dinner. While we were walking around we walked past this place and decided to give it a shot. While the pizza and pasta was a little underwhelming, the salad we ordered was nice. This is a small lively place, where the cooks are moving fast and the staff are eager to check in on you. They were all very inviting and willing to help. Was a nice place to stop for some average food.

The food was delicious, the service was lovely, and the atmosphere was inviting. I highly recommend the ravioli burrata! It's mushroom ravioli in a butter sauce with burrata cheese. It's delicious! The mushroom flavor isn't overpowering and if you've walked around all day this entree is the perfect size to be filling without leaving you feeling stuffed. They have an excellent wine selection, though we didn't have any. If you like wine with your pasta, order it. When you're ready for dessert, try the tiramisu. It's easily the best I've ever had! It's light and rich in flavor, the perfect balance.

    Now THAT'S a good Chianti!

I had cappellacci with spinach and mushrooms in a butter sauce. It was fantastic I tell you! The cappellacci was light and tender in a rich buttery sauce. I also tasted ravioli in a tomato cream sauce and it was great. I had some brandy in a sniffer that they warmed up for me. It was some of the best brandy I have had in a while. I loved my experience here at this family restaurant. It will always hold a special place in my heart and mind when it comes to London.

My mom is, which is why we went but there are rather limited options, at least on pasta courses, that don't include pecorino. 2 - we tried three different pasta dishes. What made them truly stand out was the freshness of the pasta. That said, the sauces weren't remarkable. I tried a special pasta with pecorino, butternut squash, and mushrooms which was nice and not heavy but not partial flavorful. 3 - the ambiance is great if you like a small restaurant- with maybe 10 tables and 500 sq ft of space, this restaurant has character and charm. 4 - the service was outstanding. The staff were kind and efficient. 5 - the dessert was just OK - had some scoops of ice cream and the peanutella was outstanding while the strawberry and the pistachio were just fine. 6 - the appetizer cheese plate was the real highlight of the night here. Fresh cold cuts and cheese with the most wonderful fig jam. All in all; this is a good stop and you certainly won't have a bad experience! Perhaps just not the most notable.

Delightful atmosphere with outside seating, I chose it based on great reviews (and that it was near the Whole Foods in Covent Garden, where we could go shopping afterwards since we were staying in an Airbnb and it was our first night there and we needed tostock up). So we started with the margherita pizza as an appetizer and it was absolutely wonderful. My sister had the roast baby chicken with chips (these were similar to American steak fries), which she loved, and I tasted some of her chips and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. My brother had a special pasta, tagliatelle with cream sauce, which looked great and he really enjoyed, and I had your basic spaghetti with beef ragout, but it was excellent.
