Rosetta team did an amazing job on my roof repair. During the rainy season my ceiling started leaking and I had Dan come look at my roof. He uncovered that my roof was installed improperly and had dry rot over the years. His team quickly worked to repair and replaced all the damaged sections. They also helped removed and replace the flashing around the electrical jack in the back of the house as it was installed incorrectly. Rossetta installed a new premium shake roof in on my home in Los Altos December 2012. It leaked with a month. Dan came and said that any shake roof will leak in a driving rain. this of course had never happened with our 40 year old shake roof. He somehow fixed it and soon after the next leak happened. He said it was my skylight- "these things leak all the time". He made an attempt to repair and it continued to leak. He came out many times but since there have been 8 years of drought since the install it was sporadic. He stopped returning my calls so my husband started working with him. He suggested dan mask off the skylight to determine if it was the problem. the skylight was not the cause of the leak. Phone calls stopped being returned and the roof leak became worse and in other locations. We had to find another roofer to protect our home because our 12 year old roof was allowing gallons of water through. we were told that the roofing material was still good but there was something internally wrong. Dan may have a good company but if there's a real problem he does not stand behind his work. When I posted my first review I received a call from Rossetta's office within an hour. Dan would come out to look at it. When he came he gave many excuses as to why it leaked- he took no responsibility in the situation. Another EXCELLENT experience with Dan the and crew at Rossetta's Roofing !!!! Dan re-roofed our other house many years ago and based on that experience we definitely wanted to use them again. Though the house we wanted to have them work on was a bit out of the area, Dan was glad to come take a look and take on the job. The existing roof was an aging tar & gravel roof that was in dire need of replacement and quite some repair. Dan and the crew did an awesome job of tearing off the existing roof, correcting and fixing various issues with the exiting roof then putting on a beautiful standing seam roof - which will last for many many many years. I've added 2 photos of the resulting Charcoal colored standing seam roof that was installed in the Rossetta's Roofing along with this review. What a great job and great looking roof - never have to worry about this roof for a very long time!!! Rossetta's Roofing did an outstanding job of replacing the roof on our Santa Clara home in 2008. Recently, when we began preparing to install rooftop solar panels, we didn't hesitate to call them back to our home to ensure that our roof retained the greatest possible integrity and longevity. Rossetta's worked closely with our solar contractor to prepare the two areas of our roof on which the mounting posts would be installed by removing the existing shingles and paper, inspecting for dry rot, and laying new roofing paper. The solar contractor installed the mounting posts, and then Rossetta's returned to seal the posts and replace the shingles on the two affected areas. Throughout the process, from the initial estimate to the final inspection, the staff at Rossetta's were always easy to contact, responsive, and absolutely professional in their communication with us and their coordination with our solar contractor. The Rosettas were both very personable during the intro and order process. The standing seam roof was well installed (entirely by one man who seems to be their "metal roof guy"). Two years later there have been no leaks. We love the roof and it has improved the look of our house. Only issues were that they were less courteous after the paperwork was signed. Dan did reply to certain detail requests, but did not respond to other requests...I know the messages or texts went through, but there was just no reply or acknowledgment. Also, when I asked them for a quote to install gutters (two years later) along another part of our house they declined because they said the job was too small. So now I need to find some other roofer to make gutters to match those that were made by Rosetta's?! After purchasing an expensive roof from Rosetta, I was let down to learn that I wasn't worth their time for a follow job. In my case, they seemed to prefer a one time, big ticket transaction, as opposed to a long term customer relationship. read more

Dan, Sherrie, and their Team are the BEST! I reached out to them over a year before I proceeded with my decision to hire and proceed with job. From the very first engagement, they were super professional and very informative and knowledgeable regarding roof work. They have clearly been in business for several years and it shows! Every conversation I had with Sherrie and Dan were very in depth and never did I feel rushed off or made to feel as though my questions were bothersome to them. Sherrie is a doll and she is also very knowledgeable in the field. Rossetta's is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with, from beginning to end. Tony promptly scheduled our initial meeting and thoroughly answered my questions. After I received his quote, he patiently answered my questions again; there was no pressure and he did not try to "upsell" me. For example, my existing rain gutters were in good shape so he didn't recommend they be replaced. (Rossetta's bid was in the middle of the three bids I requested). With roofs, the most important feature is the installation. Rossetta's crew is experienced and most have been with the company for many years. Good attic ventilation is also key to prolonging the useful life of an asphalt roof, and Rossetta's offers a sturdy metal ridge vent. I liked that he offered (if necessary) to add attic insulation for the cost of the materials alone. Even though I didn't need any, that could have saved me some additional money. As the project started, Tony's communication was excellent. I always felt that I knew what was going on and was being taken care of. After a few days, we had a beautiful new roof! And a long guarantee from Rossetta's too. Rossetta's is something of a well kept secret; I see that I am the first to write a Yelp review. Don't understand this company. They called back a day after I left message, Tony was very good on the phone call, and he went out and looked over the proposed work within a day or two. Spoke to him afterwards and he said give him few days to work top the bid. Wait a week, call back and spoke to him again with same response, I'll have your quote done in a couple of days. It's been over a month now, never received anything, gave job to another contractor who did not need any prompts to follow up properly. Can't say if their work is good or not, but I don't have time to waste or the patience to deal with a flakey business. I can live with the job doesn't fit our profile, we are booked out for 4 months, etc. Just be a man about it and do what you say you are going to do. read more

I had multiple estimates, most of which did not present me with a written estimate, some gave handwritten estimates, some promised to send me an estimate and never did. The same day Tony came to look at my job, he came back and hand delivered a package with pamphlets, samples, and a written estimate in a Rossetta Portfolio. That my friends is professionalism and definitely influenced my decision. The companies that gave me handwritten estimates (on plain paper, not on company letterhead) were "big name" regional companies. Rossetta does their own sheet metal work for vents, flashing, and gutters (multiple options). I highly recommend the ridge vents, which they also make. Tony walked me through the process from start to finish. I had a TON of questions and concerns and he answered all of them and put my mind at ease.
