    Aloha Bento plate

This place doesn't disappoint! Always get the Aloha Bento plate and it never fails to hit the spot! And their hawaiian kool aid is refreshing! Might want to go early though since it's always busy but other than that, their level of service is great! And the enviroment is very laid back and chill along with a side of island jams! Mahalo Ross J! :)

Stopped by after dancing hula with my hula sistas. I've heard of Ross J's and glad I finally got to taste the food. I was told that they are the same owners as the Islander restaurant in The Cal 2nd Floor. The price point here is so much cheaper than others and the food is ono. I ordered the Menehune Roast Pork and Fried Noodles while my friends enjoyed their dishes. The roast pork was delicious. The Menehune plate is similar to a mini plate but to be honest, it wasn't really small. The meat was plentiful but the rice and mac salad is a smaller scoop from the regular plate. The fried noodles has a good flavor too. Overall great spot to dine at. It really reminds me of plate lunch spots in Hawaii. So Ono.

A Henderson hidden gem forsure! I had the pleasure of having lunch here with a friend a few months back and recently revisited for a solo lunch. The food is always good and fresh. My first time I tried the teriyaki chicken combo w/ rice and mac salad. This time I tried the Korean chicken and tempura shrimp combo w/ rice and Mac salad. Bomb! Food is always flavorful and the portion sizes are more than enough. Service is always professional and staff are nice. There is a bit of a wait whether dining in or competing a take out order so give your self sometime in between. The restaurant is usually busy during lunch hours but nothing too crazy. The establishment itself gives a family vibe so it's a nice atmosphere to enjoy your food. If you're looking for bang for your buck and good Hawaiian food. This is the spot!

Their food and service is consistently excellent. They offer special so check the board when you arrive. There is a lot of onsite parking. They are located at a main intersection so easy to locate and access. Near Ethel M's in Smiths shopping center. You can't go wrong if you're looking for some Hawaiian food.

It's been a couple years since we have been to Ross J's and we were in the area and stopped for lunch. We ordered the Spicy Korean Chicken bowl and added veggies & a small Wonton Min. Dining area has plenty of booth seating. Service was quick and food was good. The spicy korean chicken bowl is always a must! The soup was good too. The small was still enough to share. Wish they were open a little later than 330pm! Definite hidden gem!

Great food but the mac salad was so small i could eat it in one bite and the cup that they put in was not even full

The food is amazing, the ambiance and service reminds me of Maui. More specifically, Cupie's in Maui. This is how home cooked Hawaiian food tastes at the mom and pop shops back home. My favorites are the musubi, hamburger steak plates, chicken katsu, and kalua pig plates. I have a nice of pictures I took from the various times I've visited. I highly recommend this place.

If you're looking for amazing food that won't break the bank in Las Vegas, this is the place to go. I ordered the Teriyaki Combo Chicken and Beef Bowl, and I was seriously impressed. The meat was tender, perfectly grilled, and packed with flavor--the teriyaki sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Portion size? Just right. You walk away full and satisfied without feeling like you overdid it. The restaurant itself is small and super clean, which is always a good sign. It does get pretty busy during peak hours, so be patient--trust me, it's worth the short wait. This spot proves you don't need a fancy setting to serve top-quality food at an unbeatable price. Highly recommend if you're in Vegas and craving something quick, affordable, and delicious!

I decided to try this place. There are a lot of people grabbing lunch! Cashier was very friendly and the restaurant was clean I ordered combination plate, Bento beef, chicken, and spam. It doesn't come with Mac. I ordered a side of macaroni salad. It was delicious! I will come back again

Walking into Ross J's is like stepping off a plane in Honolulu minus the TSA pat down and the guy in front of you who brought six pineapples as carry ons. This is one of the few spots in Vegas that feels like an original Hawaiian café. Simple, comforting, and absolutely loaded with flavor. And let's talk about prices for a second. In a city where you can pay $27 for avocado toast with a side of attitude, Ross J's has somehow managed to keep their prices low. I honestly don't know how they do it. Maybe they are just old school locals who believe you shouldn't need a small loan to enjoy chicken katsu and garlic shrimp. The food? Quality every time. From the crispy mochiko chicken to the perfectly charred BBQ beef, everything screams authentic. It's the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and maybe even humming a little Israel Kamakawiwoʻole on the way out.

    Lau Lau and Kaluia plate

Have been on the lookout for a Lau Lau as good as OHNO's in Waikiki long ago. This one looked like a reasonable candidate. I ordered Kailua pig Lau Lau plate with rice and Mac salad. The Kailua pig was juicy and was ok. The Lau Lau was very small and was about 50% fat and a bit under seasoned. It was tender and juicy. The Mac salad was good. Service was good! The place was clean and was obviously popular as there was a line to the door during lunch. I need to keep up my search...

The restaurant is also amazing and last time I was there...I was SOooo hungry for a Reuben sandwich since I hadn't had one since before the wheat thing (ughh) so I asked them if there was any way they could take all the stuff that was in a Reuben and throw it on top of my side of fries and they did! I was so happy....it had been so long and Reubens are my favorite sandwich so to be able to enjoy one again in some way was amazing. Weird side note their burgers are also pretty legit.

I was lucky in arriving early for lunch, so the lunch crowd wasn't there yet, and I was able to be seated. I ordered the beef & cabbage soup. A dish I have been eating there for the past 25 years. Unfortunately, it was not as good as the last time I had it, or the many times before. It has always been like a sweet and sour base. This time the soup was very salty, almost inedible. It was served with bagel chips, which were nice and crunchy. I wish I was super hungry to enjoy one of their sandwiches. I saw them coming out of the kitchen looking delicious. Hopefully the next time I visit the soup will be better. I will definitely be ordering a sandwich too. The service was excellent all around.
