Chicken with rice. I substitute vegetables for the mac salad.

The food is good. Not the best I have had but it's good and decent. Employees are nice :)

Three words. Broke Da Mouth. Ono grinds. Good grub! Friendly staff. Small venue. Order from cashier and they bring the food out to you. I loved the island jams they were playing. Made me feel like I was in Hawaii. Definitely check out this spot! Garlic chicken fo sho!

Love the food here - check out the specials - great central location, awesome staff, nice outdoor patio with tvs - lots of seating and parking is right outside! The food is savory and really good! Plus priced right

Combo with kalua and garlic chicken

Love the food here. I ordered the kalua cabbage and spicy garlic chicken combo. I really love that they substituted steamed veggies instead of rice. The kalua was flavorful and juicy. The smoke wasn't super strong. The garlic chicken wasn't spicy at all but it was tender and crispy on the outside. Over all I thought it was a great value. Food was great and service was excellent.

Super awesome staff! So kind and great when I had questions about the menu. Ramen was great and so was the poke bowls. Will be coming again!

Quick easy lunch or dinner spot bringing the spirit of the aloha state. It's conveniently located near Costco and a ton of stores on St. Rose parkway. They're consistent and quality is always good and fresh with flavorful dishes. We really like the variety of combo plates and the Hawaiian drinks which are so fun to choose from! I discovered a new drink I've never seen before called green tea lychee. I highly recommend the garlic chicken as one of your plate options that's flavorful and downright addictive. Service is friendly and efficient, and even ordering on DoorDash is easy. Overall the authentic flavors in a chill island setting is comforting and relaxing with a sip of Hawaiian Sun. Recommended Food: - Plate - Garlic chicken & seared tuna are my 2 choices that comes with rice and macaroni salad

Staff are little pushy and seemed rush but I'm sure that's helpful during lunch rush. There is a huge menu and shared space with bowlogy so poke, and açaí options as well as the grill options. I had the bbq salmon and it came with three sides. Huge portions, could've easily shared with someone. Huge Hawaiian canned drink selection as well. The inside is a modern trendy vibe, clean space, with a lot of seating.

Visited again on a Sunday night to give it another shot as Josh invited us back to make things right. We decided to dine in and got the chicken katsu, seared ahi tuna plate, tonkatsu ramen and the loco moco along with 5 Hawaiian Sun drinks. My kiddo was bummed as the egg on his loco moco was already cracked. Doesn't matter to me but it may for others as it did for him. Other than that, my kid enjoyed the loco moco and I liked the roasted garlic garnish. My partner said his ahi tuna steak was stringy and didn't enjoy it. I thought it was alright and quite enjoyed the tangy flavored mustard dip. The rice was dry but not hard like last time. The tonkatsu ramen was flavorful and they give a good amount of chasu but the meat was tougher than I like. My other kiddo finally got to enjoy the chicken katsu and said it was good but thought the katsu sauce was ketchup. Our free entrees that Josh comped us were the chicken katsu and loco moco. Thanks for making it right, Josh! The dining room was clean and the two servers were friendly. We noticed that most parties coming in were getting açaí bowls. Maybe we'll stick to the chicken katsu, loco moco and try açaí bowls next time.

Second visit to the 9th Island Grill, and we were much happier than our first visit! Still got carry out food, but much happier with the choices and results! The staff continues to be amazing - friendly and helpful! This time we tried the Garlic chicken plate - crispy and very tasty. The garlic sauce can be a little sweet for our taste, but the chicken itself was great; and the extra crispy chicken skin makes this dish! Also got the Loco Moco - the eggs don't travel great all the way home, but the dish is very tasty and serving size is huge! Lastly we tried the Tonkatau Ramen - this was good even taking it home! Definitely have more dishes we want to try, but the service and food we reckon this trip makes us want to go back soon!

    BBQ Chicken, kalua pork, etc...

The flavor has been consistent across my last few visits. I still find their BBQ chicken overly marinated. If it weren't the only thing my son eats here, I wouldn't order it. However, the Spicy Garlic Chicken is good. I wish it were spicier, but I understand why they keep it as it is. The service is okay. I'm not exaggerating when I say all the tables were dirty during this visit, even though it wasn't busy. Honestly, every time we've come in when it's slow, multiple tables have been dirty.

The sausage was a jalapeño cheddar sausage. For my side, I had mac & cheese and coleslaw. To start off, this is a great place. If I could give it 4 1/2 stars I would but I like to round up. Brisket is really good but a little dry in the mouth. Great Smoky flavor. The mouth-feel was just a little off. It was a little dry, but not bad. The pulled pork was wonderful. Nice Smoky flavor. Nice and tender and juicy. Felt great to chew in my mouth and did not feel dry. A+ for the Pork. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was amazing. Really well done. Flavor was great texture was great. Just a little kick, which was great. I always wish there was more kick, but I understand you got a cater to your customers. One thing I was kind of concerned about was the temperature of the coleslaw. It should be really cold, but it was just kind of a little bit of above lukewarm, but not really cold. Coleslaw should be cold. The mac & cheese was pretty good. Needs a little bit more liquid in it but the flavor was awesome. And it looks like they prepackage the Mac 'n cheese in containers and then sprinkle some cheese on top. That's a nice touch, but it makes the whole container of mac & cheese dry out. They only have one barbecue sauce. It was pretty good. But to me the best way to judge barbecue is if it doesn't eat barbecue sauce. And this did not need barbecue sauce. It was just a nice addition. Great ambience. Great music playing. Very clean and well kept area. I would definitely come back when I'm on this side of town.

This place has a legit small-town feel and serves some excellent barbecue. We ordered the Burger special, sliders (one pork and one brisket), and The Brisket sandwich. The sliders were huge for sliders and served on big toasted buns and piled high with coleslaw, onions, pickles, and pepperoncinis. Both meats were flavorful and tender. The brisket sandwich was outstanding: certified Angus beef cooked low and slow, seasoned with their Texas-style rub, sliced thick, and stacked high on grilled Texas toast. Very satisfying. For drinks, we had a couple Hazy Fox IPAs and two Huckleberry Lemonades that were on special for $5, which were a fun and refreshing choice. The sides were just as impressive. My family ordered the 50/50 bowl with half mac & cheese and half cowboy beans which was outstanding. The cowboy beans were especially packed with flavor. We also tried the fried okra and potato salad. The okra was amazing; crispy and delicious. The potato salad was just okay for me and a little bland, but I'm from the north, so I know everyone makes potato salad differently depending on the region. Usually it's just to fly out of Las Vegas for a work trip. This time though, I was in area for the US Post office. Looking for nearby places to eat, I saw that Smoke & Fire was only 10 minutes away! My husband and I stopped by for dinner around 3:30 P.M on a Friday at Smoke & Fire. The restaurant is located near South Pecos Road and East Russell Road. There was plenty of parking spots available. As I walked inside the restaurant, a team member had greeted us and let us know that it was open seating. There were only a few other customers inside the restaurant at the time we had dinner. There was plenty of tables inside and outside the restaurant though! TVs were situated throughout the restaurant. There was a variety of sports games playing. When we sat at our table, the team member brought over menus and asked if we'd like anything to drink while we looked through the menu. She also went through any dietary restrictions and some of their highlights at the restaurant, specifically, Smoke & Fire is known for their blueberry chicken sandwich. There are other options on their menu though, like BBQ items! Meat platters: Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Smoked Ribs, Hot Links, smoked Chicken Quarters. Sandwiches: Chicken Sandwiches, Brisket Sandwich, Donut Smashed Burger (Seasonal), Sliders Chicken and Waffles, Street Style Tacos, Chicken Tenders and more! After looking through the menu, we ultimately decided on the following 3 Meat Platter: Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork, and Brisket with Mac N Cheese/Sweet Potato Tots The World Famous Blueberry Chicken Sandwich: Pepper Jack Cheese, Housemade Blueberry Jam, blueberry aioli, and Jalapeno. The service was super quick. I don't think we waited longer than 10 minutes for our meal. It was nice that our meal was served in to go containers as well! The highlight of the meal was the blueberry chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and tender. The blueberry aioli and the jam was scrumptious. This was a first time having a sandwich like this before! I would come back to Smoke & Fire just to get the sandwich. The BBQ pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket was good. I enjoyed the mac n cheese and the sweet potato tots though! I don't normally see sweet potato tots so I just had to try it out! They were super crispy and packed with flavor. The food was yummy here and the service was fantastic! If I'm in the area again, I would stop by Smoke & Fire to have another meal. I think next time though, I am going to have to try out their pulled pork burger!
