This Ross is always busy with long lines during Tuesday's senior discount and during Christmas season. Best to shop very early or very late at night. I appreciate the items sold here. Great prices and up to date merchandise. I don't like the tightness in the aisle. It is stressful trying to maneuver through the clothing aisles. Make them wider!!! read more

I stopped in to pick up some house items I needed and found exactly what I was looking for. The store appeared to be well stocked, maintained, and clean. The staff were very friendly, polite, and welcoming. There is spacious parking conveniently located near the entrance and store security very visible. The prices were reasonable, this is a good place to shop! read more

Had a great shopping trip! Even though the store was completely packed, you could tell the team works hard because it was still so organized. A special shoutout to judith who helped me at checkout and was an absolute dear. She was super patient and friendly despite the long line. Thank you, Judith and Ross team! read more

Workers really rude. Gave me multiple small bags for yoga mat that didn't even fit and bathroom plunger also didn't fit everything falling out and lots of baby clothing. One big bag could've helped. As I'm walking out the bags get stuck everything almost falls and I have my baby in other arm. Not one worker stopped to help which would've just took a matter of a couple seconds..you could check the camera this was around 4:50. Luckily a person outside passing by helped. Register worker didn't greet me just yelled "next" like if it was busy or something when it was slow. She didn't say hello or thanks or nothing mind you i took the hangers off for her to make her job just a bit faster. I guess I'll just lower my expectations on people and empathy. Thanks Ross! read more

Currently one girl who doesn't look a day above 12 is the only person on register when there's 30 seniors in line on a Tuesday in the afternoon. There's five other associates running around Ross doing absolutely nothing productive while that poor little girl remains all by yourself and no customers are getting checked out read more

Ross Dress for Less in La Puente. Last Friday night while checking out, there were bugs/knats all over all the counters. The employees were swatting them off their bodies. And the bugs were all over the cement by the entrance. The employees thought it was funny. read more

The selection here is pretty poor, but this may apply to Ross in general. It is semi-organized. The staff is just okay. The bathroom is FILTHY. The staff does not do intermittent cleaning & leave it filthy to end shift which I consider a health hazard. read more

Super bad service!! Yes good deals and clothing but the service was horrible. They didn't want to charge us anymore and this blonde lady claiming to be the manager told the other employee to close the cashier and not charge us and others who were already waiting in line before 10:30p.m. What a shame of "manager." read more

I understand that it's not only about the employees but come on, I felt like I was looking for shoes on the trash can. The prices are fine, service ok, but cleaning would be a nice idea read more

I just had the worst experience ever at Ross. I've never felt so humiliated in my life. Apparently if you buy something from Ross and you have a receipt, they stilll need to check the cameras to make sure you bought it. Especially if you're black. The manager was so unprofessional. While I standard in line to have my return taken care of she had me wait for almost 15 mins just to make sure I didn't steal it. If I have a receipt for something that is locked up how could I have stolen it? All I gotta say the manager there needs to be retrained. The cashier was more professional than manger. The manager looked like she should be working at hotopic not Ross. read more

Don't make the mistake of shopping at this Ross if you have tattoos. They follow you around and harass you like your stealing something from them. I literally had chaperone the whole time I was in there. When you ask them what they are doing, they play dumb. This place sucks. read more

I literally wanted to give 0 stars . So I walked in and was greeting by the lady in a black vest . And I reply I'm good how are you . As I literally pass her by I began to cough . Like that really scary cough where you feel you are going to pass out . I walked to her and said "I need help, water " she moves her hair said yes but then turns around and starts talking to another customer. So I run to the register keep in mind my 10 year old daughter is with me and freaking out cause her mama is basically freaking out . So I walk to the register and ask help me . The 3 ladies that were in the register ignores me. One of them said "next guest please" . As I'm still coughing I reach over to a blue bottle and I raise it up to the lady that by the door and ask "this water" she nods her head yes . So I open it and take a sip and it's not water . So I'm like "it's not water " finally this lady that was in line hands me a water bottle from the trays that are in front of the store . After I calmed down I literally wanted to cry because I felt like had it progressed to something major no one would of helped me. So to that stranger who was in line and handed me some water THaNK YOU ! .. I spoke to the manager and I really hope he spoke to his employees. Although I did see him taking to the lady in the black vest but I heard her speak numbers to him . So I am not even sure if he spoke to them . This made me really sad ! read more

So today, I went there because a buddy of mine bought me some shoes and a shirt for my birthday and they were both a tad bit small. Upon getting there, one of the women working they ask me what was going on. I told her the situation and had my recipe. She understood, that naturally if someone is giving a give, they take the tags off. So, she puts them in a bag, and tells me "no problem, take these and shop around and pop back over and we'll take care of it" so I was found some cheaper items that I would have prefer to get and figured this should go smooth. Then, after waiting for about 5 min as who I'm assuming was the store manger to come and help out another poor girl who had to handle the small rush in the front, calls me over and right away says "oh yeah, we aren't taking these bAck, it doesn't have a tag" I told him, I just spoke with one of your reps, and told him the same thing. Then he says, "yeah, not taking this back, the shoes are dirty.. and the shirt doesn't have a tag" 1st I have shoes older than these that still look brand new. They had 1 mark on the bottom of the shoes underneath it! because of whatever the store put on them when they were on the shelf, not from me, everything was spotless. And it's quite common for a shirt not to have a tag if it's a gift and the fact that you couldn't make this exception, even have seen the dates on the recipe and the fact everything was still in perfect shape and at the word of your other employee who understood. 2. After he rudely rejects me, has the nerve to ask if I wanted my recipe? What the hell would I want my recipe for if it's not damn good? I don't shop at Ross and had her decent things about it, now I'm for sure not shopping at this one! All of these shoes are all over the place, half are already dirty and there shirts are in disarray as well. Good job store manager, you've lost more than a few customers over a stupid minor transaction read more

I went in to try to EXCHANGE 2 pairs of shoes and a Minnie Mouse clothing set that didn't fit my niece. I didn't have my receipt but the clothes had tags on it and I told her that the shoes were given to me by the store with out tags. I didn't want my money back I just wanted to exchange for size but she Straight up Said NO... I get it I work retail as well but didn't want my money back. I don't get what the problem was if it was literally an even exchange... Will never buy here again Terrible customer service. read more

This place has everything! I got STAR TREK CUPS and SHOTGLASSES here! STAR TREK! I never see Star Trek stuff at a ROSS! Of course I bought them!!! I found a 8x10 rug that looked perfect for our house. It went for $89.99 which is a good price - but I didn't buy it because my fiance wanted to look at other places but I did the research online and you cannot find a better deal than that! I'm planning to go back and get it if it's still there!!! There was just MORE stuff to get. I already got a crock pot but there were crockpots there for $30! A lot of the stuff I was looking for online was cheaper here! I definitely recommend this ROSS. It really seemed to have everything! I got a snuggie for my friend for $5!!! WHAAAAA I'm going back to this one! It seemed to have a lot more than the others I've been to! PARKING: Tons! read more

The best time to go to Ross is 9am on Christmas Eve. No one's there and everything is in order. Imagine that. Organized racks. Anyway, I went in to shop for a Christmas dress (yes I am a procrastinator.) and walked out with a dress for New Years Eve also. All for under $30. I almost danced out of the store with both of my dresses on. Bargain deals do that to me. read more

Ross Dress for Less - Ever rack was a huge mess! I refuse to shop through a pile of junk!! - Department Stores Near Me - Whittier, California

This is one of the better Ross's in the area. I've been to the one in Downey (Downey Landing) and I prefer this location. The store is much more organized and things are easier to find. Yes, it's a treasure hunt but if you enjoy shopping, as I do, you will LOVE it! I was able to score some really, really good deals without having to spend my entire day there. I do wish they had a better shoe & lingerie selection, but that doesn't take away from the overall awesomeness of this store. Their dress selection is very impressive. I saw at least 10 pieces that I wanted. I settled on one because my wallet instructed me to do so. The staff are very courteous and efficient and do whatever they can to take care of you. I appreciate that at a store as chaotic as Ross. It makes a huge difference. Overall, I am impressed with this location. I will definitely return. read more

Terrible customer service !! . The cashier I think her name was Christine needs more training. I wasn't even greater or acknowledged she never even made eye contact with me . She scanned my items and asked how I was paying when I said card she then said you can swipe it now . She never even told me my total!! my clothes weren't even folded she threw them in the bag !! I had to take them out and fold them . Not to mention that I wasn't even done entering my pin when she called next purchase. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service I received . read more

I come shopping here often and every time the employees are always so nice and accommodating. I went in the store one day trying to find toys for my nephew and the employee named Xavier helped me find what I was looking for and something cute for my mom as well! On top of that around the time I went in (11ish) it wasn't too bad line wise, there was about 2-3 people ahead of me and about 2 cashiers so surprisingly it went by pretty fast! Also, when I had a question regarding mattress pads for my house Paul helped me find what I was looking for. read more

This place isn't too bad. I buy clothes and other things for the home. Some items like heated blankets aren't sold here, which is a drag. It can be tiring to look around and find the stuff you need. Some of the workers can be rude, so customer service can definitely be improved on. read more

I haven't been here in a while ...and now I know why I get really overwhelmed in places like this ...the lack of organization, the set up, the gaps on shelves and the lack of inventory. The prices to me ARE NOT CHEAP at all and the biggest peeve of the day is the wait in line ONLY one girl doing returns and then one ringing up all the customers keep in mind it is Mother's Day weekend They did have some cute items I had my eye on read more

So I always go here and they always welcome you. But today was very unfortunate. Me and my daughter went to go buy some things and she is a 2 year old. She held her toy all the way to the register and the woman said I didn't say next to a two year old? She said she is off I didn't say next. Like really I understand you want to go home but at least apologize to me but Especially my daughter. All I know she was off at 4 and I came in on 4/6/2021. All I know this because right when it hit 4 she turned my daughter always. I would like managers to see this review and to feel if they were in my shoes. read more

This place is always a mess. I've seen employees walk by stuff that's on the floor and they don't even bat an eye to think about picking the stuff up. Especially clothing, it's like someone might buy that and little do they know it was on the floor and could have been stepped on. Employees don't greet customers like they're supposed to and they all work really slow. And fitting room just stands there and doesn't try to clean up near their area. read more

Omg I've never met a place so rude! Me and my mom where at the cashier and my mom was paying first and it was my turn to pay so I grabbed the shoes from the bottom of my stroller and the lady right in front of me told the person on her head bud "She paid for the shoes! " I was so offended she said that right in front of me! I was so upset I should of told her off and not bought shit at her store!. Only reason I still bought the shoes was because I knew my daughter would like them. Hate this store so fucking rude! They should be trained to not treat customers like that. And say it in front of a customer. I recommend to go to Hollywood Ross they are so kind and welcoming. read more

I hadn't been to this location in a very long time, and I doubt I'll be back. I went to look for a bathroom rug/mat And a specific sized picture frame. I didn't find what I needed, they seriously have nothing left and the aisles are thrashed like someone left their 3 year old unattended. I found a pair of shoes in their very limited section of size 8 women's shoes. Every size has at least a full aisle while this size has half. Then to top it off I had to wait a good 20 minutes just to check out. There was only one cashier on the customer service area so she had to do returns and regular purchases. It wasn't until both lines were unnecessarily long that I'm guessing was the store manager came up front and exchanged 2 cash register (at a glacial pace, when she saw the line getting longer). I seriously felt like I was at Wal-Mart, where there's workers all around and only 1 register open. The only other staff I saw were working the fitting rooms. Not sure if they're short staffed but when I worked in retail, managers stepped up to help customers when there was a rush and the one that opened the register made the girl who was already busy helping to complete a return call for help. Lazy much? Nobody acknowledged the wait, nor were they friendly, the friendliest person there was the security guard at the door. A very depressing Ross visit. read more

Great deals shop for less convenient and fashionable. I always shop at riss for my brand name clothing

i shop at locations with thrift store prices and department store suave. yeah, i made myself sound cooler than i am... i am aware of that. - something to keep in mind about this location is that; though it has a pretty good selection of men's clothing, it does NOT have any shoes for men. big let down. other than that, this is a great location. read more

You really need to have some free time and patience when you come shop here...seriously! Especially in the women's department. I came here on saturday with a friend. He was looking for dress pants and shirt for a great gatsby themed party. He was able to get some nice grey slacks, bow tie and scored on some pretty cool shoes he wasn't expecting to buy. The men's department is much smaller and more kept up than the rest of the store. I wondered over to the women's department to browse and gave up lol. Too messy and didn't feel like flipping thru the messy racks. As i was walking around and waiting by the dressing room I didn't notice any employees on the floor. These types of stores are known to be a little hectic and messy so why don't they staff the appropriate amount of people to keep it clean? People including myself will continue shopping here because you can't beat the prices for the brands you're buying. read more

I've been to many a Ross in search for an awesome fashion bargain and this seriously has to be the most organized Ross I've been to. They have a good selection of plus-sized clothes and a decent selection of shoes. Also the lines aren't too bad, usually no more then ten people in line. Unlike the Downey Landing Ross which always had a line to the back of the store everytime I've gone. This is definitely my Ross from now on. I had to do several returns there and they have been nothing but nice. read more
