I have had it! I was not going to write a review but when it comes to the ppl I love I will always standup for them. I drive to Ross in Pacifica at least once a week. Half of the staff there is rude and I just let it go, last time I did say something because I was annoyed. Thursday I was there with my daughter,my mom, sister and niece. My sister asked to use the restroom and they said they can use the restroom in an hour. Well they shopped, kept shopping and my mom asked to use the fitting rooms and they told her the fitting rooms were not available. My daughter asked to use the bathroom again along with my mom and they said the bathroom were out of service but they let another lady use the restroom. My daughter took a pic. Then my sister went to pay and the employee there said "can you hurry up, you are suppose to take the hangers off the clothes" in a very rude way. I paid for my stuff, drive home and my family told me everything that had happened. I was livid and will report to corporate. I know I would have gone off on the lady...it's the damn Filipina lady who is rude ass hell! Lady, i hope you read this and know you are a rude and very miserable human being! I can't believe what I saw here this afternoon. This is my local ross never had issue here and shopped here a lot. My friend and I at shoe section and employee in front of fitting room flew into uncontrollable rage. Swearing yelling just outrageous behavior. 2 cashiers in tears. We wanted to leave but there is only 1 door out and we would have had to pass him to go out. It appeared a manager was trying to calm him down no success and I feel he should have called 911. We moved to the back of store both of us figuring how to get out safely and here he comes stomping down our aisle and swearing at me as he passed. Horrible behavior frightened customers and Noone did anything. As a manager how can you let someone act like this and not address issue? Never again. We won't go in there. LISA is a wonderful staff member who works at Pacifica Ross. Lisa is a very kind lady and I've been shopping with her 4 years. I only buy stuff when Lisa is there. Man, I hate shopping, but Lisa tells me yes, or no. HATE shopping. I shop in a half-hour flat. I dunno, but it sucks. Consequently, I can dress like a super dork And bag lady look. Lisa to the rescue. When she's here, I always leave with a big bag of great outfits. She has great taste. Lisa is honest and tells me if the outfit looks good or BAD. Unfortunately this place is more empty every time and I understand they may be under staffed and take longer to help everyone if it's busy..but it's one thing to be busy and ring people up as fast as possible and it's another to keep people waiting in the return line while there is no one in the regular line at all. I've been there when it's busy so I understand they may take a while but i was there recently in the return line and it was super slow they ignored me after they were done ringing up the three people in line. They decided to wait untill more people showed up and got in line. I thought it was so rude and unprofessional and decided to leave the few items behind and walked out. read more

Going to Ross is a treasure hunt although ibwol say that this Ross probably has less selection than most. We were in Pacifica going to the gym and wanted to check this Ross out. Staff is nice but the place is a little disorganized. The roof was leaking and the men's selection was definitely limited. My friend was looking for candles so she found some although some of the items had small defects. Not too impressed but I did find a jacket that I wanted so that was a plus. Anyways, it's a big place but wouldn't say it's one of the better Ross's to goto. read more

This Ross is actually one of the neatest, cleanest Ross stores I've visited, and I've visited a lot of Ross stores. The main floor has shoes, purses, and women's clothing. There is a weird pseudo second floor that you go up via stairs or a platform, and there is some more merchandise (mostly men's and household) on the "second" floor. This Ross still suffers the problem that I find in other Ross stores, in that the merchandise still feels lacking. There's a lot of space left on the racks and I feel like the stores could always use more merchandise. read more

Don't go here....they are not sanitizing anything at this store. The woman who greets you at the door should have sanitizer to spray down cart handles and your hands. This is common practice in San Francisco. Shame on you Ross for putting your guests at risk. Don't go here. read more

Now I hate to be rude, but I am a true Ross professional. Meaning I take my Ross' seriously. Hee hee. I was very excited to experience the Pacifica Ross. But once I got inside I felt super cramped and anxious. The aisles are super small. There is not even enough room for 2 people to walk in between , unless you push yourself into the clothes and try not rubbing butts with the other person. And most of the time the other person won't move. Grrrr! It happened to me in the dress section. The changing rooms are straight out of the 80's. Sliding curtains! You CAN see people changing....meaning they can see you changing!!!! Ahhhhh! Being a girl we sometimes try on bras because hello they are $7, compared to Victorias at $40. So big minus a star for the changing rooms My only positive note out of this store is I found a super cool beanie for $4. I love this beanie. However I won't make a huge effort to go to this Ross when on the coast. read more

This might just be one of the smallest Ross stores I've ever been to. The selection of this store is very limited on most things. I came here about 3 times already and was able to find a journal, mens sunglasses and a bed for my dog, but that's it. If your looking for a great selection of women's clothes and shoes this store isn't for you. In a nutshell this location is okay and I'm glad I was able to find a few things, but it's not my favorite Ross store. I'd recommend going to the Ross store in Daly city. read more

I love this Ross for the skincare, hair, home goods items. They have some amazing items coming in constantly. The reason for 3 stars is honestly a couple employees. Most of the employees here go above and beyond and always have exceptional customer service - but one lady in particular is so so so rude. She has her robotic lines she uses and is extremely rude to customers in line...and don't ask any questions because she sighs and gets pretty visibly irritable. One time I almost said something because she was so rude to some elderly customers and it really upset me and the customers. RIGHT after you pay, before you can even put your cash/card away, she will rush the next customer up WHILE your scrambling to get your stuff out of the way. If there is a manager reading this, please talk to your team about professionalism, this is actually a huge issue and I won't even come in unless certain associates are working. Good and any other Ross I have been to. Despite the store size, the Pacifica location seems to have some better things in stock more often than Westlake. Probably due to the location being away from the the dense population center. The only real problem that I see with this store is the lack of staff to check you out. But then with the advantages of this Ross comes an occasional disadvantage. A trade off I am willing to live with. read more

This Ross in Pacifica is tucked into the Linda Mar shopping center with Safeway and an L&L BBQ restaurant among other stores. The location is nearby one that is very scenic. The fog rolls in early here. The layout is somewhat different than most other Ross locations and it is a bit smaller as well. There is the main part with the usual ladies clothes, shoes, purses, kids clothing, plus more and a loft type area with mens', home and stationary etc. The problem here is the selection. The clothing for all seems very limited. (They could make a ton of money by bringing in sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets and layering pieces to sell to tourists going and coming from the area.) Their selection of shorts, jeans, etc, was just not there. However the home section selection is quite good. The place is pretty clean and the employee that checked me out was nice. It is definitely an ok Ross. I'll be back to see if they get in more cold weather wear and more depth in their clothing selection for men and women read more

Pros: Well cleaned, large selection of clothing for women, good selection of house hold and kitchen items. Quiet location with lots parking on a plaza. Cons: only half of the staff that I regularly see there is professional and nice, other half is ignorant and has look on their faces like they just don't want to be there and help anyone out. Little selection of men's clothing. Overall experience: I like the place and come here often. Very friendly with some of the staff. For me as a guy sometimes able to find something good in men's or car stuff departments. Girlfriend always spends quite sometime searching for clothing and always picks out at least a few things. This past blackfriday a lady at register didn't know what she was doing and looked puzzled while looking into her register computer. She slid my credit card backwards 3 times without looking and told me the card was declined and that I need to give her another one... I told her assistant to let me do it my self on a different station and everything worked fine. Both of them gave me attitude about it... Suggestions: Provide staff with motivation to work and do their jobs happier and efficiently, it will pay off. Increase men's department. read more

Hands down one of the cleanest and yes most organized Ross I have ever been to! I could actually think while looking for a new pair of I don't really need you, but those grey ones are so cute I must have them for 5.99 workout pants! Clean, nice people work there and they can actually respond using proper verbs and tense. Plus I found some very cute things for cheap and due to my pocket book being pretty much well empty this is much importante at the moment! I have been twice since moving home and found things each time that I know I would have not found at another dingy Ross store! Luv ya Ross mean it. 4 Stars to the place that helped me find an affordable grown-up purse! After months of walking around, switching between my canvas Yelp tote (free) and Columbia mini-backpack (purchased at the Royal Robbins Outlet in Berkeley), I finally graduated to a slick, size-able, black Kenneth Cole Reaction adult purse. Mom would be proud. I've spent many shopping hours at this particular branch. Through the years, they've improved the store layout & inventory. Back in the day, when my mother and I would spend hours leafing through every single garment on the racks, it was nearly impossible to find the right size in the right place. It was hit-or-miss. And you immediately felt "cluttered" (though it obviously didn't stop us from shopping). Now, it's an open, cleaner layout - unlike many of their other stores (namely, San Mateo, Daly City, SF). And, for the most part, it's organized. Customer Service leaves much to be desired at times, but no real complaints. Years ago, one of my jobs was to "secret-shop" places to ensure they were meeting certain customer service & merchandising standards. These places included Krispy Kreme, In-n-Out, movie theaters, and Ross. Every Ross gig was a bit painstaking & monotonous, as it involved going through random garment racks to make sure things were "sized" and organized accordingly. But, in the end, it gave me an appreciation of the type of person/energy it took to establish and maintain an attractive, orderly, well-stocked shop. This branch was always really close to meeting all their standards. This Ross is almost always the first place I visit when I'm looking for a picture frame or discount, high thread count California King size bed sheets and pillow covers! Plus, it also helps that it's just a few miles down from our hula/tahitian dance studio in Pacifica AND across from L&L Hawaiian Barbecue! Aloha. *almost forgot - I purchased the coolest black tshirt with the words "Bada Bing" (hey Sopranos fans!) in pink along the front from Macy's for $20; my friend gave me an identical tshirt as a stocking stuffer, from Ross - she bought it for $7! I love Ross but this store doesn't really make me jump for joy. It is less crowded. But then again, it has limited selection of merchandise. Everything is much smaller, even though this place has a LOT of surplus space. Sorry but I like going through the clearance sections, and this place is sadly lacking that in the clothes department. Maybe it's in between seasons or something but more than half of their clothes racks have been empty or sparse in the past few months. (Yes, I go pretty often.) Overall, I come here because it's the only one in Pacifica. (Unless I drive to Daly City.) Service is decent, for the most part. Security is always friendly too. They always seem to have a good selection of items. Just went to get something for my son last week and was so upset that how small and disorganized the mens section is compared to the women's,just look as soon as you walk in and basically the whole floor behind the registers caters to women and the men's, kids section sucks, I ended up purchasing something else and mentioned it to the lady at the register and she said "you are not the first one to say that to me and that I should write corporate and she does agree with me ", I 've been shopping there for over 15 years, but this time with all this equality stuff going on everywhere, well I want equal amount of effin men's clothing also in our section and not ten or twelve pairs of size 13 and 14 shoes either,I don't think Pacifica is a basketball town...... read more
