Half of the staff there is rude and I just let it go, last time I did say something because I was annoyed. Thursday I was there with my daughter,my mom, sister and niece. My sister asked to use the restroom and they said they can use the restroom in an hour. Well they shopped, kept shopping and my mom asked to use the fitting rooms and they told her the fitting rooms were not available. My daughter asked to use the bathroom again along with my mom and they said the bathroom were out of service but they let another lady use the restroom. My daughter took a pic. Then my sister went to pay and the employee there said "can you hurry up, you are suppose to take the hangers off the clothes" in a very rude way. I paid for my stuff, drive home and my family told me everything that had happened. I was livid and will report to corporate. I know I would have gone off on the lady...it's the damn Filipina lady who is rude ass hell! Lady, i hope you read this and know you are a rude and very miserable human being! I will contact your boss!!!

He had a good read on me: he sensed that if the lesson got pushed back, I might drop the idea of surfing becoming a real part of my life altogether. He didn't want me to give up on it, so he reworked the shop's schedule to make it work. That lesson completely changed my perspective. Alex has a real gift for seeing people and meeting them exactly where they are -- and I've seen it again and again, not just in that lesson but from spending more time at the shop watching him work with new surfers, surfers visiting from all over, and people who never thought surfing could be for them (I was one of them.) Since that day he accidentally became my instructor, I've had three more lessons with Alex. He's changed my whole attitude toward surfing, helped me buy my first wetsuit, gotten me involved in activities, and I'm hoping we'll collaborate on getting my first custom board. His style of teaching is simple, and it's exactly who he is around the shop -- tailored and personalized, simple and intentional, creative and impactful. Pacifica and this little stretch of coast can feel busy and crowded, but the community here is small, and there are a handful of core people who make it feel special -- for locals, Bay Area natives, and tourists alike. Alex is one of those people. I can't wait to keep growing my love for surfing, be part of the Travelers family, and watch Alex keep being a connector -- for Travelers, for Pacifica, and for surfers everywhere.

Kanika is an extremely talented designer, and I can't recommend her enough!…read more We bought a house in March 2020 - signed the contract days before covid stay at home orders. My husband and I then spent two years working from home together in our front room (we call it the study now) without any rhyme or reason, just putting our desks wherever they fit, because it all happened so quickly. It was awkward and ugly, cords and monitors everywhere, and not a great look for people walking in our front door. The whole time, I was thinking, "when this is done and at least one of us goes back to the office, I want to make this room into a nice space to read and relax, and also to WFH when I have to." That's where Kanika comes in. I tried changing the place up on my own, but every choice I made seemed to make my space uglier and more awkward. It was time to hire a professional. That decision was worth every penny. In the end, my project turned out to be slightly bigger than just one room. I enlisted Kanika's help in choosing flooring, baseboards and paint for the whole house, furniture for my entire downstairs (we were still using the old living room furniture left by the previous owners), and light fixtures throughout. She was easy to work with and understood immediately what I was going for. My study is a real showstopper now - the walls are this deep blue color that looks amazing, she designed a gorgeous custom bookshelf that makes perfect use of the space, and she picked a couch that is the perfect size, just the right color, and so comfortable. And we still managed to get a desk in there for those WFH days. Literally just the other day, I was on a Zoom with someone and thought "this room behind me is so pretty, it looks like a fake background." But it's real, and in my house! And it wouldn't have happened without Kanika. The paint color she helped me pick for my bedroom is something I never would have chosen on my own, but I still regularly think about how nice it looks whenever I go in there. Same with the color of the living room couch, I'd never have found it on my own, but now that I have it, I love it. She knows her stuff. Kanika's husband Adi runs the business side of things. He managed the project, hiring contractors and keeping everything on schedule. The work was done on time, and he kept us in the loop, patiently answering any concerns or questions. And, no shenanigans with the final cost. Really, hiring Kanika Design was a great decision for us.

I stop by this amazingly unique, friendly store everytime I am in Pacifica just to see what they have recently gotten in and restock on my favorites too. I love all of their lotions and bath products that make me feel like I am in Hawaii and they always bring in the most unique art from local Pacifica/Half Moon Bay artists. Last year I bought all of my emplyess the most beautiful hand painted sand dollar Xmas tree ornaments for the holiday made by one of the owners, Grace, who is an incredible artist herself. I LOVE IT! I came in for beads, specifically letter beads, but there were a few letters that were out of stock and no packs of letter beads. A lot of the jewelry findings seem to be quite old, tarnished, and low on stock. There are no mid priced strands of beads. Only semiprecious gems under glass or very junky glass beads. All beads and craft supplies are crazy overpriced. I only came here because I needed to make a last minute gift. Thankfully I just needed the letter beads and a few findings. I would have been sorely disappointed if I needed polished stone beads, shells, wood, or clay beads. Also, the "price trays" to collect beads are stupid. The owner had been very nice and friendly to me in the past, but I guess today she was having a bad day. I walked in and said hello and it seemed like I had pissed her off already. Then I saw that that was how she was treating everyone that walked in. It was relatively busy, she could have made a lot of sales if she had tried at all.
