I wandered through the store, browsing as I went. I didn't see anything worth noting or getting. The layout of the store was familiar to competitors. The departments are defined and easy to find/navigate. Pricing seems to be about the same as competitors. Selection, at least to me, appears to be limited. I really did not see much that caught my eye. Before long, I found myself back to the mall entrance and out of the store.

She was also outright rude, acting as if she did not want to retrieve the customer's order. I asked for a manager; she resisted calling one and displayed an unnecessary attitude. When the manager finally came to the front, she was not helpful either. She did not look for the customer's order and simply told me it was not there. To justify not checking, she stated that she had already told the customer the store did not have the item they ordered. This store has EXTREMELY POOR customer service, and as an African American woman, I was led to believe that the behavior I experienced was prejudiced.

If your store manager is named Holly Young Wade (found with a quick Facebook search), she was equally as rude and should be ashamed in how she and her staff treated us this evening, February 22,2023 especially since her store is so new. We are a military family from Texas, we've visited a lot of Boot Barns, Cavenders, etc and this was by far the rudest staff. It's a shame because it's such a nice store and could do really well, but customer service goes a long with us. We were going to purchase boots for my one year old and were never offered help. I entered the store with my three year old daughter, two staff members and your manager stood by the desk and looked at us and did not say a word to greet us. All stared and then looked away. We were the only customers at the front so there was nothing else they would be occupied with. A few minutes later my husband entered with our one year old, again not one staff member acknowledged him they just stared. We looked at the hats and then made our way to the boots. Two staff members were talking for several minutes near the boots and neither of them ever asked us if we needed help, needed sizes etc. They did not acknowledge us at all. I noticed a male associate greeted and offered help to two women shopping in the clothing during this. Then the store manager passed by us again, just looking at us and not saying a word. We made it all the way back up to the front while browsing the store with not one greeting. We were exiting the store when a large family (all white, if that matters) entered the store and was greeted by every single staff member standing at the cash register. In fact, they were greeted several times and told "let us know if we can help you" as we exited, I looked back waiting for a "thank you for visiting" as nearly every store tells you- absolutely nothing. I will be telling all of our friends about our experience as I know many of them were excited about having a Boot Barn location in our area now. I will take my business elsewhere and buy my son new boots at a store where we are acknowledged. I cannot believe this store's customer service was so terrible today and that the store manager was there and acted just as rudely. Well its October 2025, and it was like a Ghost town and the food court was by far the saddest one. I think only two places were opened on a Saturday. Lots of stores are closed and the parking lot was completely free. Not much selection now in terms of things. They still have some clothing stores left, but not sparse in terms of styles. The food court is actually clean because of the low foot traffic and someone is constantly cleaning the place. They do have Tesla superchargers here so its a good place to charge and walk around. The chargers are in the corner of the lot and typically just walking to the bathroom and back and most of the charge should be done so not really much time left to wander. It was sad to see and kind of made me feel like life has moved on from my childhood.

I came in here looking for gifts only to find disappointment. Being one of the anchor stores at the mall you would expect it to be packed with a lot of what you may need. I ended up walking around in here looking for a good amount of time. I was surprised that I did find some items. What was a bit off putting were the lines at the registers. That is when you could find a register that was open. When you did find a register that was open you had to wait in extremely long lines. I mean it's one thing to pick up an item in one department but have to traverse to a completely different department in the store to pay for that item. I will say, the service here from the staff was impeccable. The lady that helped me had just delt with three difficult customers when it was my turn. That didn't bother her, she was still a gem to deal with. She was chatty and had a happy demeanor. I would go back to just interact with her.

I had did that the day prior and when I got home and opened the package to pack the cord noticed that it was damaged to the point that it was not usable. I figured that I would just stop along my travel and exchange the broken one for a new one. GPS will show you where to go when you don't know the area. Exactly what happened here. I wish now that I would have went elsewhere. I walked in and went to the area they had setup for customer service. Told them that all I wanted to do was exchange it for exactly what I had. They kept the item and I went back to the electronics department to find my replacement. I searched and searched and searched for a replacement. I wasn't seeing what I needed. I went to look for an associate to see if I am just blind or if they were indeed out of the item. When I saw an associate I went over and asked if I could get some help. It was a bit funny, I had asked one and had two come to help me. When I pointed out the item that I needed she used her little scanner thing and scanned the peg. Her database was telling her that there were two of them in stock. But not on the peg. We looked through every peg as a just in case. Nothing. Walked the department to make sure there wasn't a display with them on, nothing. Then the truth comes out. They had no one with knowledge of the department currently working. So even though the associate was answering my questions, her knowledge of the department was nil. She was just giving a blanket answer. Working retail prior in my life I would have gone to the back to check and see if it was just sitting on a shelf waiting to be placed on the floor. Or at least that's what I used to do when working. We would constantly pull items from the back to see if they could go out, if they didn't, they just went back to the back. I ended up just buying the charging cord that was shorter because it was needed and I didn't have any other time to stop elsewhere before reaching my destination. Went to the front and told the associate I was dealing with what the situation is. This is the irritating part. For me exchanging an item that was damaged to no fault of my own and having to get an item that was similar but not exact, I could receive the difference back to me via put back on my debit card (which is my money and basically cash in these days) or I could receive it back as store credit. For real, you think I want to carry around a gift card with like two dollars on it. I guess I'll just wait the three to five business days for it to show back up in my banking account.
