This store is supposed to be one of the smallest in the chain, but doesn't show it. Large selection of books, comics, DVD/Blu-ray's, and toys/collectables. If you don't know about 2nd & Charles, most of the items are used trade-ins from other customers, so you can never be sure what will be in stock. We had several questions about prices of items behind the counter which were quickly answered and the employees were helpful. Had a good selection of Manga but a smaller selection of Anime DVD/Blu-ray's. A large selection of comic longboxes were available, but per other 2nd & Charles their organization was not the best. Overall, store was clean and organized with an on-par selection of items compared to other stores. I would return here again.

I went in looking for a book on the history of magic. One of the employees came up to me asking if…read moreI needed help. I said yes, I'm looking for magic history literature. He laughed at me, said good luck, and then followed me around the store. He kept making comments just loud enough for me to hear, such as "magic is as real as religion", "Hagerstown is just full of crazy people these days". I finally turned around and asked him what his problem was, to which he replied "oh I don't have a problem but clearly you do." I immediately left and I will never come back. In fact, I'm going to tell people not to come to this store because the managers are very rude. Eta: I never specified a date, and if your management team was focused on helping customers find such a small section of books, instead of entertaining themselves, I would have given a better rating.

The beds were comfortable and clean. I was confused about mixed messages about daily service to the room not being available but my bed was made daily. It was unclear which it was, I actually prefer to not have daily service. There were some great activities as well and I wish that our group had more opportunities to go on the guided activities or learn things like pickleball! One thing that was hard was that our transportation from the airport was very late, so my group got a really quick here are your keys go eat before they don't have food anymore greeting. There is nowhere close by and it would be great if there was some sort of option if people are late. The NCTC knew our bus was late coming in and there wasn't an advanced accommodation of setting up boxed dinners for us or some other option. We had to go from dinner to an induction session, by the time we got back to our rooms around 9:30 pm, most of us discovered our keys did not work and had to trek back to the lobby, in the dark, where we had no idea where we were!
