While I love Ross with its great deal finds, it can also have several downfalls. Especially this location. Their service was rude and pushy. Are the deals and checkout line worth it? Only if you're willing to wait in a ten + minutes. I did snag a few dresses in the back racks. There's always at least one dress or skirt you can find. This visit I found one. Went to try it on, the fitting room clerk was helpful. (Anytime you go to the fitting room in any Ross stores you hang it on the check in, up to six items at one time.) The rooms and floors were dirty. Waiting in the long line, which feels like a Disney line to go on a ride, my checker called next. I was friendly and tired to chat while she scanned. She was short. I paid and once my item was on the counter, she yelled next. I hadn't put my card in and I was pushed out of the way. Mgr. Dorotheo Morales did an amazing job with this store(1305) . He has tidied up this store and always welcomes customers. There are no more clothes and items all over the floor and very organized now. When customers walk in, they are greeted and very helpful. Wish I could give 0 stars. Went to try on clothes and the employee padded down my 3 jeans, to make sure I wasn't hiding anything. On my way out of the dressing room she was helping 2 other ladies so I placed the jeans on the rack and put my number back. I've done this at other Ross stores SO many times. As I turned to walk away the employee stopped me and asked me where the jeans were. My hands were empty and I was wearing a small crossover bag. Don't come here if you are brown. Rude cashier, I just had a return for which I had the receipt as well. She never greeted me, was really cold in treating me. When it was all done, she asked me to take the receipt from the dispenser.. oh my gosh.. so freaking rude. She couldn't be bothered to hand me over.. unbelievable. read more

Awful customer service. I came in with a return that should have been a quick 5 minute experience. I've shopped at this store many times, and there has always been a separate line for returns. So I waited there for someone to process my return, right by the customer service/ exchanges/ returns area. The line for purchases was extremely long, and the 2 cashiers started yelling at everyone in line to remove the hangers off of the clothes. One of the cashiers kept stopping to put the carts away further extending the line. Then someone just barks at me that there is only one line- however the sign in front of the line says "Enter Here for Purchases." So now, after waiting 10 minutes for someone to help with my return, I got to wait an additional 10 minutes in the purchases line. read more

I frequent many this chain throughout Austin and Houston. This is by far and away the nicest Ross around. It's clean, well organized and generally has a great selection of goods. I am never impressed with the selection of women's clothing except for the dress department. I also can find a cute, cheap dress at this Ross. They have an exceptional home goods department. There is also nice wall art and I have bought two great bedspreads from here, both for around $20. I never have much interaction with the staff when I shop here so I can't really speak to that aspect. I can say the checkout is always fast and efficient. read more

Went in and had to go into the fitting room to try stuff on. I get there are people out there that steal, I am NOT one of them. The fitting room attendant was rude and treats you like to shoplifted! This store needs to hire mixer people that actually appreciate their customers. read more

I bought one shirt on 4/27/2016 and exchanged at around 7:20pm on 4/28/2016 just exchanged to larger size, the cashier his name is Alan Sims accusing me " the shirt is from Marshalls and here is Ross, I can't do exchanged ." At the same time he knocked on counter top which is really rude and bad customer service . When I said call your manager, he replied " She is not going to do anything." I really want to know what kind of management is. But I am glad when manager came out I got exchanged but still No Apology. This is really bad experience shopping here. read more

It's Ross, you shop here for ultra cheap finds. It's kind of like treasure hunting, usually a bust, but sometimes you get lucky. I'm not a fan of this location, as the selection is usually drastically lacking, and the isles cluttered and dirty. I'd rather drive a little extra, and go to the LakeLine location. read more

In the past few days, I've visited this Ross Store (Whitestone) twice and another Ross by Lakeline. Their friendly service has by far improved. Perhaps this is a result of new executive management but I like it and hope the friendliness and helpfulness of staff at these stores continues. I am rating 4 stars only because I recently purchased some furniture and 3 huge area rugs. If they're going to sell big items, I recommend there be a larger cart to move these items. I had to come back with my daughter just to specifically pick up the rugs as there wasn't anyone to help with loading. But other than that suggestion, I look forward to many more future visits! read more

So disappointed with Ross. I used to love shopping there and still miss it but I can not go anymore since my baby fell over in a shopping cart in the store. The way their carts are designed with a pole on the side make them top heavy. I had my 6 month old sitting in the seat in the front and the whole thing tipped over. Thank god she was ok. I took her to the ER just to make sure she had no head injuries. When I seeked compensation they claimed they were not at fault and the law firm that they use was so rude to me. When they asked how much my baby weighed he said "oh big girl huh?" Um no she is actually small and in the 25th percentile. Asshole. Ugh. So upsetting. I was also in a car accident later on that day and I just did not have the energy to press further. Please do not let your kids ride in their shopping carts they are extremely dangerous. read more

The only reason Im giving 4 instead of 5 is because, even during the holiday season, near Christmas they always only have 1 register open. I do go often to buy my kids ever growing feet for inexpensive nikes,pumas,ect and for girls, cute boots,michael kors boots, but my least fav one like this store for clothing. But love the prices. I got a boy Jansport backpack for 14.99 and my kinder girl a pink Jansport for 12. Academy had the same exact ones for 40-60 bucks. I love the prices of the hotel brand king size sheets,normally, the cheapest 55 $ ,for 25-30. Love the home decor, great prices. I dont shop for me,but my 6 and 7 yr old. Sometimes the prices suprise me ,not in a good way but mostly for shoes. I spent 60 to 80$ a pair the year before and he grew from a kids 8 to a 1 in young mens so it got pricy. I had a VERY bad experience today and will never shop here again. I purchased a pair of shoes two days ago that did not fit and the seam on the inside of the shoe cut into my arch causing blisters. I tried to return them and the check out lady refused claiming that I had worn them and she turned them upside down to show me the bottoms. The shoes were dingy on the bottom (like every other damned shoe there) and I told her no ma'am, those were sold to me that way. I can't tell you how many times I have seen shoes that you know someone returned sitting on the shelves waiting to be purchased by someone else. They do it all the time. She argued with me and told me that she would not refund me. So, i bit my tongue but told her that I would never shop there again. I then threw the shoes in the trash can right outside the door and walked off. Because obviously it would be stupid for them to re-shelve them considering they aren't meant for any human being to wear. Oh might I add that when I originally bought those shoes they actually had shelved ONE SHOE size 8 (It was another pair, not the ones I bought and I am sure the other one was somewhere in the size 6 1/2 section) with a $1.99 tag that they were trying to sell because the shoes were two different sizes? Friggin really ROSS? Right, because most people buy shoes with two different sizes. OMG. My son and I had a good laugh at that one!!! This place is a joke and I am over buying their cheap crap! Trust me, no tears shed about not getting a measly 20 dollar refund especially when I had the satisfaction of slam dunking them in the trash can right outside in front of the giant line I waited in for 20 minutes!!! read more

I have never had such good service as I did today at ross. Usually the workers are rude, slow and short with people, but today everyone was friendly, helpful and nice. I had stopped going for over a year because of the bad attitudes of the employees. It was really nice to be treated like it mattered that I spend money there. Thank you!
