Ross & Co. replaced the former Bernie's restaurant in Hatboro. It's a great location with plenty of outdoor seating and a parking lot. We stopped by here on a whim after driving by and realizing it was open. We asked to be seated outside since it was such a beautiful day. It was very noisy and busy inside. On Friday and Saturday nights, Ross & Co. has live music at 8 PM. I suppose that's why it was so lively when we walked in to request a table. I wouldn't say we were ignored being seated outside, but I feel as though we could've been given more attention. I think the servers were focused on getting the customers inside taken care of due to the live music act taking place while we were dining. Drinks took a while to come out, but the appetizer and our entrees arrived fairly quickly. We started out with the Burrata. It was great, but somewhat small to share among three people in my opinion. This is definitely an appetizer for two. My vegan eggplant "Sammich" (as noted on the menu) was also decent - the contents inside kept falling out so I ate everything inside first and then munched on the bread. The fries resembled the fries from McDonald's! Not a bad meal at all. I was pleased with the overall quality of food and drinks. I just wish the service was on par, but I understand it was a busy night. I'll check this place out again for Happy Hour on a weekday to see if there is any improvement in the service. read more

I was searching for a place to host my husband's surprise 40th. I was looking for a place where I could do an easy and casual brunch. I decided on Ross & Co because the menu looked great and the owner was easier to work with than other places I reached out to. Happily, they delivered a great experience today! We had a group of 13, including kids, and everyone loved their food. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I also loved the spuds. They had a great kids menu as well, and the servers were had were very attentive and helpful. The place is nice and decorated cute for the holidays, and they had no issue with me putting balloons out. They even had a separate table for me to put the cake, and they brought plates and a nice cake knife for me to serve the cake. Very much appreciated. We all left happy with our meals and the price is also good. The only recommendation I have is for them to carry iced coffee! read more

Going by previous reviews, they must have gotten their act together. The place was packed for an early dinner on a Friday night. It seems as though there are at least 3 big rooms with tables (including the tables around the bar.) Noise level is high but not ridiculous. The menu is large as well as the beers on tap that are available. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed what we had. From Burgers, to Tacos, to Panco-crusted Chicken sandwiches and Pasta. Portion sizes were very large. In the future we most likely will make reservations because by the time we left, it seemed liked most of the tables were taken. So yet another restaurant is going to try to make this location work. I hope they succeed. The staff was great, the hostess was friendly, our waiter was attentive. There were a couple mistakes but he got everything straightened out, I'll chalk that up to getting settled in. The decor is a bit hard to figure out. They have high school jerseys like a sports bar and the big TVs but the rest of the vibe is kinda dark and serious. They had live music which was a nice touch and the guy really knew how to read the room. The menu is where they need some work. It's a smaller menu which usually is a good sign but we got several items and they were pretty forgettable. They don't have an interesting enough drink program to get away with food like this. I think they are gonna need to punch it up to make it work here. I hope they can make it work. read more

So happy to have a new restaurant in Hatboro! My husband and I had lunch there today on what I believe is just their 4th day of business. They are already operating as a well oiled machine! Great food and service. We had been in there at the previous restaurant and never were impressed but Ross and Co impressed. I had the Pink Jawn drink which is probably now my new favorite drink. Also had the shrimp and andouille sausage appetizer which had great flavor and was cooked perfect. I did a slider combination of crab cake and filet. Great flavor. We tried this place for the first time today -- and what a hit! My wife got the mussels (she's a gourmet eater when it comes to seafood - and quite discriminating), and she absolutely raved about them! I had the chicken tenders, which really surprised me as to how good they were with the mustard dip. The French fries were quite tasty and stood out for French fries! The onion soup was great also. And I had the Harp draught - it's a wonderful lager (made by Guinness) that is very hard to find in restaurants. They have live music entertainment in the evening, but as we just had lunch, we can only assume it's a plus. The owner, Bob, stopped by and introduced himself -- which means to me he's confident in his restaurant and team members (David was our server -- great job, and attentive)! Honestly none of the food was hot. The appetizer of hummus and veggies was warm. The fries were not fresh and the eggplant Sammie barely had eggplant. S/b eggplant forward when you're naming it eggplant Sammie. Drinks were good but in an 1 1/2 hours no one checked in. No ambience completely wide open. read more

My husband, daughter, grandsons and I went to Ross & Co Friday nice for dinner. The hostess was so nice and chatted with our daughter about our grandsons. She made sure they had crayons and talked to the boys, too. The server was very attentive as well. If he saw an empty plate he removed it quickly. The food was delicious! Served quickly and our appetizers came out first, followed by soup and then entrees. We have been places where everything comes out at once and you feel rushed. We just did Happy Hour there. I got the sliders, meatloaf and cheese steak. Very good. My husband had the crab cake and cheese steak. He enjoyed them. He also got a wedge salad that was delicious. Had a great lunch with my sister after getting our nails down the street. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly. Service was good - I love when they bring water out to the table right away. We didn't get drinks due to time of day but they seemed to have some fun cocktails on the menu and beer choices that I'd like to come back for. Food was delicious! My sister got a chicken salad sandwich with a side they call "spuds." She raved about them. They were soft roasted (?) potato chunks with butter and seasonings, and were delicious. I had French fries (crisp and tasty!), and the pesto flatbread. Portions were generous and food service was quick. I am looking forward to coming back - you should definitely try it. read more

Ok so apparently this location is cursed to find quality vendors. So I was so happy to hear that the property was being taken over by the likes of gypsy blue ownership ... went the first week it opened...went again this week, hoping for a different outcome. This time by myself, ordered a cocktail and the buratta... how do you make arugula tough and more importantly I could not physically bite through the "crostini " it was so hard and tasteless? Please add some flavor or even flake salt! The first meal was mediocre at best as well. Thank you the bartender. She was great. Oh and did mention, what I can only assume was the manager and an off the click employee having a conversation at the bar regarding how much they dislike a cook 7/4/2024. I live in town and hoping this place succeeds. Based on our first visit they are going to need to make improvements especially to the food. Following are comments from our visit. -the fried chicken sandwich and lamb burger were both tasty but the buns were not fresh or bakery quality. Seemed like ordinary bagged rolls. -we had the "spuds" side instead of the Mcdonalds style fries they serve. The spuds were tasty. Odd choice of fries to serve for the type of restaurant. -the plating and presentation of the food was very ordinary -the kids pasta with butter was mostly hard dried out elbow macaroni soaking in a pool of butter. We sent it back and got the kids chicken fingers which were grisly I don't recall there being prices on the kids menu but it was $9 for the inedible mac and $3 for Shirley temple. -there were no prices on the beer menu. The beer I had was fairly priced but could have been colder -they did a nice job with the rehab, atmosphere somewhat loud but comfortable and pleasant. -our server was pleasant and helpful with making suggestions from the menu Based on the good things I heard about Gypsy Blue I was expecting better quality upscale food. We will give them some time before dining here again. read more

Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Wonderful service, good mocktails, delicious deviled egg appetizer. Thoroughly enjoyed the onion soup with a hint of sherry? My husband's squash soup was also tasty. Our sliders were good for the most part- loved the crab cake ones, maybe a little more seasoning on the fillet mignon and a little less cook on the cheeseburger slider (dried out meat/cheese) Our server was very well informed , friendly and checked on us regularly. However, I think maybe the kitchen crew needs some coaching. We ordered the chicken meatball appetizer which came out on the cooler side of room temperature. We sent it back and asked them to microwave it which they did. My friend ordered a burger with a vegetable side and it came out with fries instead. He asked again for the vegetable and they brought it back with some very sad looking room temp green beans. The burger wasn't hot either. I ordered the shrimp tacos with fries. The shrimp were room temp almost as if they had been sitting out. The fries were hot so that was nice. I'll go back and give them another try in a few months only because I want hatboro businesses to succeed. read more

Just finished lunch at Ross & Co in Hatboro. Staff is friendly. Maddie, behind the bar is the best. They are still working out the kinks when it comes to wine. Deviled eggs were amazing Unfortunately, I can't say the same about their chicken salad croissant. It is not a croissant, and the owner actually argued with me when I pointed that out. As anybody knows, who loves croissants, they are light and flaky. The roll was a hamburger roll with a circular design pressed into it. I started with tasting a French rose` on tap and a Portugese rose` by the glass. I Preferred the Portugese. Bit the bar staff could not keep it straight. My companion ordered chorizo Flatbread. Which proved to be a bit doughy for a flatbread. I normally would give a new enterprise a second chance. But considering Mr. Ross's argumentative nature, I suggest you go somewhere else read more

start positive, the two times we've been here the waitress was nice and the restaurant's ambiance was nice. first time we went was shortly after it opened. We were 1 of maybe 2-3 tables at the time. the food was gross flavorless and over priced for the small portions. didn't think much of it since they just opened and we wanted to give them the benefit thinking they just opened. As we were really happy with their menu we have t been back until today. the wife and i didn't feel like cooking and said let's go give them another try as we live walking distance. well that was a bad choice. the food yet again flavorless and this time beyond undercooked. I asked for extra crispy wings and they came out cold, soggy, chewy and undercooked (even after asking for them to be over cooked if you guys want to succeed amount these other restaurants in the area you need to ditch your chef and improve that menu. read more

Myself and a group went here a few nights ago. This place is awesome. The hostess met us with a big smile and was super friendly. It was super clean. They had some Halloween decorations up. Just enough to be festive. We had some Happy Hour food, and some off the regular menu. My wife has the sloppy Joe sliders and really enjoyed them. I had the Hot Honey pepperoni flatbread pizza. We arrived early, about 4:30 to avoid any crowds due to it being Friday cruise night in Hatboro. I can see it could get loud but it was fine at this time so cannot really comment too much. Food & service were excellent. Perfect wait time & waiter was very friendly and attentive . Three of us all got the sliders. This is a great idea. You can mix and match and get as many as you want. I got the crab cake and pulled pork. Others got the hamburger, cheesesteak, crab cake and meat loaf. They were the perfect size & easy to eat. All of us raved about them. We each got a side of spuds which are basically smashed potatoes. They were hot and had good seasoning. We all got desserts and all were excellent. I got the cake pops. They were very rich with two vanilla and two chocolate with dipping sauces of chocolate, caramel, and raspberry. Had a couple drinks (strawberry margrita and creamsicle) which were excellent.
