We were down in Cle Elum on a meatscapade when we decided then we should grab some sweets. The kids definitely didn't object! This place is a small spot located on a corner in downtown Roslyn. Currently, they're only letting small groups of six or less inside, so you may have to wait outside for a bit. The folks inside got everybody through quickly. They have a moderate selection of some old-school candy, including some really old-school stuff that would get your grandparents excited! It also got some more modern, old stuff like big league chew. Nothing made you feel more alive than shredded I will come design to look like tobacco! A big selling point is the fact that they have Winegars ice cream as well as a number of other funky flavors. One of the kid got pop rocks ice cream, another rocky road, and another a delightful sorbet. They also have some pretty cool antique showcases that housed the candy. You definitely have to watch the kids as their favorite thing while we were there was to lean on the glass case from the 1890s. One of the best things we found were the handmade chocolates that they have that came in a number of different flavors. The rosemary with sea salt, three citrus and lavender were the favorites, no the other four or five options that they had looked very nice. It was pretty cool to be able to get high end chocolates as well as gummy candy in the shape of cheeseburgers from the same place. The prices were good and the selection with solid and fun. This is definitely a spot you should check out!

Having dined on many occasions the menu has many changes which is fantastic for a foodie always needing a flavor change . Today my flavor factor is the fried chicken sandwich with a chipotle aioli and La French Fries. Lots of local wines , beers & cocktails to give you some euphoric relief from your day. Georgetown brewery compliments any meal plus a pint or tow of Manny's or Bodihizafa is refreshing if not intoxicating. The decor is a rustic cabin approach which instantly makes you feel like your home away from home. Keep in mind you may have to wait due to limited seating and overwhelming consumers waiting to dine. But it's worth the wait cause the meal never lies!

The Cafe is located next to the towns Historic Museum so there's lots to see before or after your meal. There was no wait for our 4-top in the late afternoon and we quickly got to studying the menu once seated. I decided to go with the Salmon Benedict while my peers had burgers and a BLT. After ordering we adored the restaurant decor and talked about work. Food arrived relatively quickly and we wasted no time digging in. The Benedict was very well made, not over sauced, and cooked well. The French onion salad dressing was epically good. I highly recommend. Overall the experience was great and service was decent. I would certainly come again and I will recommend to anyone passing through.

So we decided to swing by on a Saturday around noon for quick lunch stop. The Red Bird Cafe is located in the downtown area of Roslyn, and it may be busy and difficult to find parking in the area if you are visiting midday. Parking is situated along the streets of Roslyn and there is additional slots near the trailhead down the street from where the restaurant is located. There wasn't too many customers during the time we went, but service is fast - we were able to get our food about 10 minutes after we ordered. The ambiance of the restaurant is quaint - with tightly spaced tables arranged throughout the restaurant, and you can choose wherever you'd like to sit. I ordered the Classic Monte Cristo, as I haven't tried this sandwich before, and this sandwich, though looking not too large, was actually really filling! The cheese and ham/turkey were layered between I think three slices of bread - giving a pleasing tiered texture. The bread was fluffy and had a nice spongy texture as you chewed it. Though I wished I could have got more of the jam - it had a refreshing sweetness that you could interchange between the richness of the sandwich. In the end, I spent about $13 for this sandwich, and I thought this was a good deal given how much it fills you up! The menu had many interesting looking options, and I would definitely like to revisit The Red Bird Cafe again if I'm ever in the Suncadia area!

From the stunning views over the valley below, to the tasty cocktails, to the wonderful eats it was a great way to chillax on a lovely Saturday evening. Having had a not-great experience with wine (at a different venue) earlier in the day, we opted for cocktails here. My extra dirty martini with cheese-stuffed olives was phenomenal, and my friend enjoyed her old fashioned. We shared a roasted beet and burrata salad as an appy, then moved on to our main courses - I got the prime tenderloin and she got the cider glazed pork. We washed it all down with a couple of chocolate espresso martinis for dessert. My tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by some sweet little roasted carrots and a lovely heap of mashed potatoes. My friend reported that her pork was more like a stew, and she really enjoyed it. What really put our experience here over the top was the absolutely amazing service we received, especially from our waiter, Trevor. He was friendly, funny, and helped us navigate the menu when we couldn't decide what to get. He also told us a little about the geological history of the area, which is built over an old coal mine. This place wasn't cheap, but for a fun night out of splurging, it was perfect!
