We tried mint, holi/fennel (seasonal), and mango candy truffles. They all tasted delicious and not too sweet.

First Time visitor now a long time customer to be. So I Was dining over at THE BRICK yesturday for a Memorial Day lunch and strolled over to The Roslyn Candy Co to check out the candy store. Wow, lots of cool candy I hadn't scene in years. However the multiple flavors of candy sticks warmed my heart. Love those stick candy's and a bargain price also. So I purchased a half dozen for the road home. The cinnamon sticks were my favorite, the watermelon flavoring was my close second. If I wasn't so stuffed from lunch I would have partaken in ice cream. Judging by the smiling faces and huge cones this place serves up happiness. I'll save for another day when I need a pick me up.. If you ever in Roslyn make sure you stop by prior to hitting the road for some candy... Childhood can be lengthen by entering the candy man store.

The ice cream tasted meh. But seeing how it was the only ice cream place within a 20 mile radius of the Suncadia resort, it's a decent spot to satisfy your sweet tooth and cool down in the crazy heat. Only 1 family is allowed in at a time, which is great because the interior is EXTREMELY tiny. We got the mint chocolate chip and chocolate ice cream, chocolate was meh but the mint chocolate chip was good. They had some fruity flavors and I think I would try those if we were back at Suncadia.

Roslyn Candy Company is a really cute little shop! They have a candy counter that is 127 years old, and they have all sorts of sweets, even frozen Charleston chews. They also have ice cream at affordable prices! We came in with our group of 15 and they were happy to help us. For such a small space, they had several other people come in while we were being helped, and they served everyone quickly. They also have a shirt and apron display, with local slogans.

    Marshmello followup.... DELICIOUS!

So we decided to swing by on a Saturday around noon for quick lunch stop. The Red Bird Cafe is located in the downtown area of Roslyn, and it may be busy and difficult to find parking in the area if you are visiting midday. Parking is situated along the streets of Roslyn and there is additional slots near the trailhead down the street from where the restaurant is located. There wasn't too many customers during the time we went, but service is fast - we were able to get our food about 10 minutes after we ordered. The ambiance of the restaurant is quaint - with tightly spaced tables arranged throughout the restaurant, and you can choose wherever you'd like to sit. I ordered the Classic Monte Cristo, as I haven't tried this sandwich before, and this sandwich, though looking not too large, was actually really filling! The cheese and ham/turkey were layered between I think three slices of bread - giving a pleasing tiered texture. The bread was fluffy and had a nice spongy texture as you chewed it. Though I wished I could have got more of the jam - it had a refreshing sweetness that you could interchange between the richness of the sandwich. In the end, I spent about $13 for this sandwich, and I thought this was a good deal given how much it fills you up! The menu had many interesting looking options, and I would definitely like to revisit The Red Bird Cafe again if I'm ever in the Suncadia area!

But Red Bird Cafe has the best biscuits AND gravy. You must try it out for yourself. My group also had the eggs bennedict which was delicious, along with the breakfast sandwich. The When Pigs Fly nest stacker is absolutely delicious as well. I love this spot and it's the perfect neighborhood breakfast spot. You should also try out their lunch, their sandwiches are also delicious!

Wow, what an incredible dinner! I got a chance to meet both owners, Kim (wife) and Chef Alex…read more(husband). My boyfriend and I started off with the Clams! The broth was perfectly seasoned, clams were cooked just right and it had an elegant touch of pork belly, saffron and smoked sausage. Genuinely one of the best orders of clams I've ever tasted. We also ordered the Halibut with a curried coconut sauce and the fried rice cake. The halibut was cooked perfectly, the rice cake was AMAZING!! Perfectly fried and paired so well with the intense and rich flavor of the coconut curry broth. The halibut was seriously the star of the show, you can tell it is fresh by the quality of the meat. My boyfriend was very surprised at how the risotto was prepared. He added steak to his risotto which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The texture and taste was spot on. Our server, Sharae was very pleasant and reccomended alot of amazing drinks to us as well. She took excellent care of us with having the balance Of professional yet fun/ outgoing personality. She was just the sweetest. We finished our meal with a mouthwatering LEMON tiramisu. Out of this world, Melts in your mouth!! Perfect absence of lemon, cream and the cake was rich and both delicate at the same time. 10/10 best restaurant in town. Will be back for breakfast. The owner Kim was so awesome, very fun to converse with. Her and Sharae made our experience very memorable. Thank you for taking great care of us!!

The server that got us was very friendly and nice. We ordered cocktails; a sparkling rose' for me and a jalapeño mojito for my husband. The jalapeño mojito was delicious. Just a tiny amount of heat and the jalapeño came through. I ordered a Caesar salad to start. Was topped with anchovies and was good and crisp. My husband ordered the halibut with green curry. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I got the pappardelle ragu because I was told it was fresh in-house made pasta. The sauce was good, but the noodles definitely didn't taste fresh or have in-house made texture. I wouldn't order it again. I was having fomo so we ordered the ribeye medallion crusted with potatoes and I wish we wouldn't have. It was the most bland dish I have had recently. I don't think the ribeye or the potatoes were seasoned. I get that it came on a sweet onion jam, but that was just sweet. There was no salt or pepper coming through at all on the meat or potatoes. I wish we would have sent it back. I am just not that person. Luckily with enough fresh ground pepper and salt at the table, it made edible. We told our server, she didn't seem to care. We decided we couldn't end on a bad note with the ribeye medallion, so we got the lemon tiramisu. I have never heard of lemon tiramisu. It was so good. I highly recommend. I saw the chop tomahawk come out of the kitchen multiple times and it looked amazing. Ambiance is great. There is an open kitchen so that can be loud. Be aware there are high top tables when you make reservations. Would definitely go back.

From the stunning views over the valley below, to the tasty cocktails, to the wonderful eats it was a great way to chillax on a lovely Saturday evening. Having had a not-great experience with wine (at a different venue) earlier in the day, we opted for cocktails here. My extra dirty martini with cheese-stuffed olives was phenomenal, and my friend enjoyed her old fashioned. We shared a roasted beet and burrata salad as an appy, then moved on to our main courses - I got the prime tenderloin and she got the cider glazed pork. We washed it all down with a couple of chocolate espresso martinis for dessert. My tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by some sweet little roasted carrots and a lovely heap of mashed potatoes. My friend reported that her pork was more like a stew, and she really enjoyed it. What really put our experience here over the top was the absolutely amazing service we received, especially from our waiter, Trevor. He was friendly, funny, and helped us navigate the menu when we couldn't decide what to get. He also told us a little about the geological history of the area, which is built over an old coal mine. This place wasn't cheap, but for a fun night out of splurging, it was perfect!
