I think this place needs to be dragged a bit. The pink haired attendant couldn't wait to get out of this spot so she closed early and sent me away though I was just waiting for the previous to head out. A family with two toddlers and an Asian group came by to patronize this place but she couldn't wait to leave. She had lights out and locked within 30 seconds of closing time. Amazing service from the gentleman behind the counter. He said me makes all the fudge. Let us try the pickle flavored fudge, and I must say it was absolutely amazing. No drinks or food are allowed inside this Fudge Hut at Leavenworth, Washington. The tourists (not including me) don't heed the posted signs... Ever. Why does fudge taste better when it's freshly made? Also, the woman who was upstairs... complained that "they're not drinking...." when she was supposed to be downstairs working. I don't argue with the employees... inside any location... and I usually get better service. I heard a woman yelling inside this Fudge Hut at the employees before. She was told to take her drink back outside. I'm not sure why that specific "Karen" was yelling.... but maybe,... she's entitled. There are a few other locations that I don't recommend at Leavenworth... because of the yelling or screaming... but,... sometimes my darling Husband and myself are the only people inside this location. read more

Before heading out of town, I made a quick stop at Fudge Hut for some coffee, the main reason for stopping at this small shop. I definitely needed some caffeine to keep me going for my drive through the mountains towards Everett. As I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly owner and he offered me a sample of fudge. They do have quite a selection to choose from including sugar free options. I tried out the maple fudge (seasonal) which was very very sweet with a nice moist and dense texture. I was told that the Canadian visitors love their maple fudge, eh. I ordered a large coffee for the road and 2 small pieces of maple fudge to go with the drink. The coffee was very good, slightly strong, enough to get me to my next stop, 2 hours away. The fudge definitely went well with my coffee (cream, no sugar). I made the trek on US 2 through the mountains via Stevens Pass (snow covered on some sections of road) to Everett, in one piece. I run on coffee and sugary treats! read more

Most of it appeared to be locally made. The jewelry wasn't my taste. The fudge area is tiny and sits in a corner of the boutique. It's basically one display case. It looked really amazing. Still, they had a lot of different kinds of fudge. The shop also had candles that smelled and looked like fudge. None of the ladies working there spoke to us and they looked pretty down. There is coffee which is pretty good and fudge... but hiding on the bottom row were some very unique salted caramels boosting salt from all over the world. I can still taste the Hawaiian volcanic caramels, and know there are now firmly part of my holiday time in the Washington mountains... If you are looking for fudge, there is a big selection, although it runs around $15.00 a pound. They also sell poop... yes seriously: fudge colored and shaped to be: reindeer poop, snowman poop, or Grinch poop... while that sounds entirely gross to me I bet my husband would have loved it when he was 7. read more

Awesome! Also you can sample all the flavors. I had to take it to work to share or suffer the waistline consequences. Coworkers said chocolate coconut was by far the favorite, followed closely by the chocolate peanut butter. My favorites were the butterfinger and toffee. Although I was very displeased with the double baked almond croissant, the overall bakery impressed me. PROS: 1. Free fudge samples! And big ones at that. 2. Diversity of fudge flavors! From oreo to jalapeno, to coconut almond and amaretto chocolate, the flavors are all so tasty. 3. An assortment of baked goods! From bread pudding to apple strudel (which looks so much more divine than the ones at the Danish Bakery down the street), and chocolate croissants and macaroons, this place has enough baked delights to satisfy most people. CONS: 1. Unsatisfying double baked double almond croissant. Just like the ones at Bakery Nouveau in Seattle, these croissants failed to impress. I don't get the deal with wanting to take day old croissants and slicing them open, (supposedly) spreading some almond filling on top, and rebaking them. It just makes the croissants hard and stale. Why not do like Louisa's bakery in Seattle and take uncooked croissants and stuff them with a generous helping of almond filling? This croissant was nothing but a stale croissant with some powdered sugar and sliced almonds on top. My friends all took bites out of it and agreed that there was nothing almond about it. read more
