He just added an Airstream trailer to get people out of the rain and snow for this winter, and he has plans to put in a RailCar next year. The real reason to go is the awesome food, really good stuff! If you go in the early fall you will find the place packed with thru-hikers from the PCT, they have been hiking from Mexico and are almost to Canada when they hit this place. Turns out, Aardvark Express: it's not a coffee place so much as Eastern Food Bowl emporium. We tasted: Kim-Chee soup - delicious Curry - best curry in the state, his words but very good curry! And the Kim-Chee meatloaf on Mac and cheese which is the best of the bunch. He's at the bottom of a ski resort and this food is exactly the food you want after a day of skiing. All the food smells delicious and the smell fills the air in and around the caravan. I got the Groomers Burger. It was a really well-seasoned burger (super peppery and with other seasonings if you like that) topped with their house mac n cheese then topped with a special spicy sauce! The bread around it was also super good (fluffy but a little toasted around the edges). The food wasn't particularly amazing to me but it was really good and worth the stop in. I really enjoyed all the flavors of my burger (which I had to eat deconstructed because of that overflowing mac!). Definitely come for the warmth and amazing aromas! read more

Let's be honest, the shack is a dump. Minus a star there. Get the bad side out of the way upfront. The good news is the food is tasty. But for the good reviews, I'd never would go there based on looks. Got the Hurry Curry. I see it used to be $9. Now it's $14. Little pricy for a to-go shack. But surprisingly good. Last thing you'd expect is asian curry here. Served in a Chinese takeout box with the lid open top because they fill it to the brim with cabbage and cilantro. Underneath is a generous portion of chicken, below that, rice. I didn't finish the rice, big box, you could probably split it between 2 people. Curry had just right amount of spice, little heat but not too spicy. Good food, at $9 was a good deal, at $14 kinda pushing it for what it is but I still recommend it. If they'd clean the place up, and take out the trash, and make it $10 or so, I'd give it the 5 stars. read more

My friend Jason told me about this place months before he took me there. When we pulled up, I thought he meant the Summit Pancake House. I have only one word for that burrito. Here it is: OMFG. Dan is an amazing chef and an even greater person. I've been back two more times now. He's always giving us new things, saying 'try this.'. Don't let the looks of the place scare you off, its not part of the gas station or the pancake place. If you go, walk in, introduce yourself, and say, 'Dan, surprise me.' You won't be disappointed. Today we got served bacon wrapped kimchi dogs. So, so, so good. And his curry is very good, the chicken is very tender and the sauce does its job without overpowering the dish. Hands down the best food on the mountain. Don't let the little trailer fool you this place is the grub. Just had the ginger chicken burritos and they were amazing. As good as Marination Station but with some mountain soul. The food definitely has an Korean influence but is still unique. The owner Dave has been up at snoqualmie forever and knows the mountain like only a true local would. Skip the overpriced food at the lodge that has been sitting forever and just cross the street to the chevron station across from Summit West and go up the the trailer in the parking lot and let Dan hook you up. I walked 200 miles to The Aardvark Express on the Pacific Crest Trail in August. I didn't know it existed until I got there. The food and service were terrific. Unique and tasty food. A starving hiker could have not asked for more. This morning the Oxford English Dictionary said 'Aardvark' comes from the Afrikaans words 'earth' (aarde) and 'hog' (vark). You have to stop in and try the Hurry Curry! This curry satisfied all of my cravings after a long hike! It's packed full of delicious chicken curry with all the fixings on top and a little piece of pineapple cake! Also tried the kimchi soup which was literally the best I've had! The owner was so nice and welcoming, gave us exceptional service! It's a cute little food truck in the Chevron parking lot but they have outdoor seating under nice gazebos with a great view of the mountain!
