This is the best cocktail bar that I have been too in Houston. They have an extensive cocktail menu with classic drinks (real drinks made correctly), this is not like the bar at Chili's or Cheddars. The service was very responsive and the food available was very good. We got the Charcuterie board but I saw other things that people had ordered and it all looked good. I highly recommend a Penicillin cocktail! Note: they have lots of mocktail options as well. read more

This place is a great spot do sit back and hang with friends. I really like that their drink options are unique. I got the Daft Funk and it was really good. It had a sort of floral taste to it, it was delicious. The only downside is they close at 12, which on a saturday is kinda early. The waitress was kind enough to let us order another round 10 mins till 12 and they didn't rush everyone out. I plan to go back and try more drinks and food. read more

A wonderful badass place full of amazing women behind the bar that make great drinks and even better company. And that's just the synopsis. Story time. In a long distance place called," Clearlake" which is a part of the burb in Houston, near the beaches and waters of Galveston and the Gulf of Mexico lies a place in a small strip. This Fall has had some cool weathered days which led to some heat lamps being lit. As you venture inside, an extremely well stocked bar appears to the right of you. The sound of roaring laughter of regulars fill your ears alongside the sounds of drinks being shaken and poured. The smells of different syrups and mixes of concoctions permeate your nose with warmth and booze. If you're feeling a tad bit overwhelmed, ask one of the amazing people behind the bar for recommendations on their signature drinks. Their G&T with some marmalade in it is rocking. Their apple cider when they have it? Delicious. Pair it with some of their Meats and cheeses because you deserve it. Rosewater is hands down the best craft cocktail bar in Clear Lake, and arguably the best in Houston! It has that cool local neighborhood vibe, yet the expertise of having some of the best drinks anywhere. The bartenders are all friendly, and each puts their own personality into every drink. With frequent specials, a seasonal menu that changes, happy hour, break even bottle nights, and just random, cool concoctions the bartenders create, there is a drink for everyone here. Not into craft cocktails? No worries they have your beer and wine as well. Sundays are usually my favorite day to come here because it's literally Sunday Funday. All day happy hour on Sundays and a different food truck always on site. And even if you don't like the food truck, they welcome you to bring in outside food, Village Pizza next door is solid. Whether you want to come here for date night, meet up with friends, Sunday Funday, after work happy hour, or any other reason, Rosewater has it all. More of a bar than restaurant but I enjoyed my old fashion. Food was good but we were a table of 7 and we ended up on a small table with no elbow room. It was our fault because I thought we were walking into a restaurant. All in all, I'd go back with a smaller group to hang out and have drinks. Service was good! read more

Love the way this neighborhood gem has blossomed over the years! Great place to meet up with friends or date night. Adding seating, lush landscaping, and cozy mood lighting in their parking lot was BRILLIANT. Good service and fun drink selections. Light food options would be the only room for improvement, but offerings are more than adequate. Love the atmosphere and excited to sometimes even get to sit on the swings! read more

The setting is intimate the dress is casual the ambience is classy chic. Good music good vibes great drinks. I couldn't decide what I wanted and having read prior yelp reviews I was aware that they could create a drink for you I had two drinks and both were custom-made both delivered on everything that I asked for. So the rumors are true they are very good at what they do! Customer service is a big deal to me and although they were extremely busy everyone was pleasant everyone was interactive patient enough to answer questions and not make you feel rushed despite the number of people in the building as busy as they were. Because I asked for something not on the menu once it was made the bartender was very clear if I was not satisfied with my drink he will replace it with something else of my liking no questions asked. This was greatly appreciated and it showed that this establishment, its owners, and staff not only take pride in what they do but truly care about their brand. They close at midnight. So if you're traveling there from far away you might want to get there early. Since this is my first time going here marking 4 stars only because I didn't see any food options (perhaps due to my time of arrival) and I haven't been there enough to speak on rather or not they are consistent. Overall very nice place and I am looking forward to going again read more

Had a pretty disappointing experience Saturday night at Rosewater. Husband and I had a rare date night and stopped by to have a cocktail before heading home. We got there about 11:35-11:40. I walked up to the bar and ordered a couple drinks. The bartender told us ok go ahead and have a seat and someone will bring them to you. Husband used the restroom and then joined me at the table. (I know how long we had been waiting because I called him from the table while he was in the restroom to let him know I had gone to the other side to sit, so I have the timestamp) We were sitting there for at least ten minutes before someone came up to us and said "the bartender said it's too late to make your drinks so she won't be making them" I said "oh. ok well we have been sitting here for a while..." and this lady super rudely snapped "it's been 10 minutes" then walked off. What the? Ok... I mean it's not a huge deal if we got there too late but why did they take our order then and have us waiting for 20+ minutes? The place was still full, but regardless.. I wasn't trying to be a Karen or make it into a big deal so I talked to the manager, I asked for the ladies name that snapped at us and she said she wouldn't give it, not a problem I just wanted it so I could let the owner or whoever know and I'm pretty sure they normally tell you their names when they wait on you. But anyway not a huge deal, I understand there are crazy people out there, the manager gave me a card so I could reach out to the owner or whoever is in charge. Again, why take our order and have us waiting just to tell us too bad you won't be getting the drinks you ordered? And why be so hostile? I certainly wasn't making a stink about it at all I just stated we had already been sitting and waiting for a while, I wasn't angry or rude at all. Anyway so that was disappointing and we won't be back. It would be one thing if the lady approached us and was just like "hey sorry about that it's just too late I guess" then fine, not her fault, but to snap at us and walk off when I was mid-sentence was super unprofessional and definitely not necessary. The bartender that took the order wasn't very pleasant either, again, if it was too late to come in then just say so, it's not a problem, I don't need the passive aggressive attitude, I'm super friendly and understanding so that whole experience was unnecessarily unpleasant. Maybe the drinks are good, I wouldn't know. Treat your customers better, learn how to be polite and professional. In response to the owner: I'm not sure how they would get to that conclusion, neither my husband nor I were intoxicated in the slightest. read more

Never disapointed. 1st time review but have been coming here since opening. Love the laid back atmosphere. Outside patio is delightful with heated patio for chilly evenings and seating indoor as well. Very social atmosphere. I ordered the old fashion which was amazing and the daft funk which was amazing. Such a cute little spot that's worthy of being in Downtown or Rice Village area right in the heart of Clear Lake! Been here twice and love that they seem to always have evolving menus/specials based on what's hot for the season. Bartenders are very friendly, and they even stayed open a little while longer past closing time of 9 pm on a Sunday night. Definitely recommend this place to friends in the area for delicious and complex drinks that have a lot of attention to detail! read more

Their ambiance is so nice and relaxing perfect a catch up night with friends. After passing this place for years I thought I'd give it a try. I prefer to enjoy my drinks at home and grabbed three different cocktails and a small charcuterie plate to share with my partner. Pasha greeted me as I walked in the door. He was kind, friendly, professional, and recommended several items based on me telling him things I like. There was a young lady at the bar with blonde and pink hair. She was also kind and professional. I like the vibe in the inside of the spot. Kind of warm. The charcuterie was ok. Finally a mixology bar in clear lake! Love it!!! Everyone behind the bar are friendly, easy to chat with, and most importantly mixes some pretty mean taste bud blowing liquid amazingness. I recommend albino grasshopper. Best grasshopper i have come across. If you are not a big cocktail person then no worries, there are craft beers and wine at your disposal. I haven't partake in either even though I am a hugh craft beer fan, only because they have so many different cocktails that you must try. Sundays they have different food trucks that provide mouth watering food. Goes great with the cocktails you plan on washing down the food with. Although, I hope the next time mahalo food truck parks there that they have spam masubi on hand. I can just taste that spam masubi right now.......nom nom nom. read more

This has become my favorite bar in which to hang out. The drinks are well crafted, the service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is quirky and wonderful. The snacks are also delicious. I always order the hummus topped with spicy zhoug, but the toasted Brie and apple sandwich is another favorite. The charcuterie board is always filled with excellent meats, cheeses, and their usual accompaniments. read more

I have heard so much about Rosewater. Hesitant to buy into the hype about how great the place is. So I finally got up enough courage to visit and boy. The hype was spot on. Absolutely stunning. Incredible. My mind was blown. I mean, check out this wallpaper. It's freaking incredible. I absolutely couldn't believe how great the wallpaper was. Textured.... Stunning. 3 dimensional, yet left me feeling never the same. I felt utterly ruined. I left the place, so amazed I couldn't acclimate to civilian life any more. I left my wife.... My four kids.... Quit my job..... I spend my days sleeping in my truck so that I can be first when they open to revisit this wallpaper. I'm ruined. It's changed me forever. I no longer see the world the same. Rosewater in Clear Lake is well known for the originality of its fine cocktails and has an excellent, well deserved reputation. The food is also outstanding as management continues to add to the menu. Tonight I ordered a smash-burger and it never fails to deliver. The staff was their pleasant, obliging selves and always seem to want to make you feel welcomed. The expansion of the bar adds needed space & offers a third choice in seating. Specialties

Hi. We would love to make drinks for you. Just a couple things you might want to know, because we want your experience to have appropriate expectations. We have a ton of booze. Lots of unusual spirits, including about 20 bottles of rare or old stuff that we offer at our cost, with zero mark-up, just because we want to share it. We make literally zero money on these bottles because they’re too fun to share. That said...we don’t carry any flavored vodkas, because we prefer to make our own. But we guarantee we can make you a drink you’ll like. When in doubt...order a Trixie or an Old Fashioned cocktail. Also we’re really bad at making money. We refuse to carry any cheap, low-quality “well” spirits. Even though we could make more money that way, it’s a shitty thing to do. The good news is that if you order a random gin and tonic we won’t poison you. It also means that our average drink is about $8.78 - but we also offer our bartenders health insurance. So...make of that what you will. We don’t carry Red Bull or any energy drinks. Lots of cold brew coffee though, but if you’re really gunning for that meth like feeling of taurine + caffeine + booze we just don’t have it. Sorry. No dart board. Sorry. We’re a tiny cocktail bar and people might die with darts in their brains if we had one. If you’re cool we really enjoy making drinks for people. Tell us about your day.

Hi there. We’re just a locally owned neighborhood bar opened by a dude who works at NASA and loves cocktails and spirits as much as this place where he grew up and his business partner who owns a few restaurants. She figured he seemed harmless enough. Also it’s weird as hell to write in the third person. Does this sound weird? It feels weird.

Meet the Business Owner: Pasha M.

Hi there. This bar was just a little passion project that took on a life of its own. It’s grown a lot in the past seven years but to me it’s just a neighborhood bar. I grew up here and I love it. To understand why I care about bars, here’s a little story: A dude I don’t know sent me a message one time telling me he appreciated coming here because while he always came to the bar by himself, he never felt alone. I cry literally every time I think of that. I love my staff, I love you, our guests, and I love this community. It’s part of why we don’t stay open past midnight and why I always highly encourage my staff not to serve drinks to someone we think may have had too much. Helping people have a good time is a blessing, but it is not as important as keeping people safe. So my apologies if we ever ask you to call it a night before you think you might be ready. Getting to this area from Pearland is much easier than heading into Houston so I was more than happy to come here. I've been here a couple of times and the most recent visit brought me and a party bus full of friends here on a Saturday night. The place gets busy but parking hasn't been an issue on any of my visits. It's a narrow bar that may seem tight, but it keeps going towards the back with more seating as well as a spacious patio. Customer service is always great and the bartenders know their stuff here. They have a pretty extensive drink menu here and there is something for everyone's preferences. They have a long list of cocktails and they can make you anything you want as well. The staff are experts here. They also have an impressive bourbon collections with about 200 kinds to choose from. Along with their cocktails, they have a long list of martinis. I love a good martini and here they have so many options. You can't go wrong with my favorite espresso martini, but the one that wowed me here was the Cucumber Patch. Cucumber flavor profile is not typically something I seek out, but I was in the mood for something refreshing and this was suggested to me. Get it and thank me later. As far as food goes, they have a separate BBQ business on site that sells some food. Don't sleep on the Bay Area if you are looking for a nice cocktail. I met up with some friends here for a chill drink after work, and to our surprise it was karaoke night! I have to applaud the regulars here because they can really SING! But don't be shy if you can't, they were welcome to everyone going up for a song. As far as drinks go, I had the Alimony. I was sold on it because it's gin, guava juice and elderflower liquor. Balanced, not too sweet, and had a little bit of sparkling effervescence. Pair that with a shot or a beer, and we were having a great time catching up with old friends. I don't remember our bartender's name, but she gave us great service. Overall 10/10 recommend the Davenport Lounge Clear Lake if you're looking for where the locals go, trust me they know best.
