If you are anywhere near Blue Ridge, GO TO ROSE'S SMASH HOUSE. Seriously. I'm going to say something I don't say lightly: Rose's Smash House may have just ruined burgers for us everywhere else. We've been dying to go ever since we heard it was opening downtown, so we showed up right when they opened for lunch and decided to try several menu items. I'm SO glad we did. This is not just another burger joint. This is what happens when professionally trained fine-dining chefs decide everyone deserves ridiculously good food without the ridiculous fine-dining price tag. We started with the French Dip Smash, a special, and it was phenomenal. That perfectly crispy, caramelized smash-burger crust, incredible beef, and rich French-dip flavors came together in a burger that made us look at each other after the first bite like, "Oh... WOW." Then came the elote fries, another special, which were comfort food turned up to 11. The fries themselves are on another level because Rose's uses grass-fed beef tallow, giving them that deeply savory, old-school flavor you simply cannot get from ordinary fryer oil. The portion was huge, and they stayed hot and crispy throughout our entire meal - even through dessert. And then there was the Gutter Dog. I consider myself something of a hot dog snob, and I can honestly say this was the best hot dog I have ever eaten. Not the best hot dog in Blue Ridge. Not the best hot dog I've had on vacation. The BEST hot dog. Period. We also had Rose's Special Lemonade, made with local vodka, peach, and strawberry. It was ridiculously refreshing and the perfect pairing for an outrageously good meal. And PLEASE do not skip dessert. The sundae with strawberry sauce and crumble was the perfect ending. The vanilla soft serve is unbelievably delicious - creamy, rich, and nostalgic in the best way. And that strawberry sauce?! It tastes like the best homemade strawberry jam you've ever had. Intensely strawberry-forward, not artificial or overly sweet, and so good we scraped every last bit from the bowl. What impressed me most, though, was the level of care behind everything. The owners are professionally trained chefs from high-end kitchens, and you can absolutely taste that experience. Their kitchen was also SPOTLESS - genuinely one of the cleanest restaurant kitchens I've ever seen. From the quality of the ingredients to the execution of every component, there is an attention to detail you simply don't expect at this price point. They use 100% local Georgia Wagyu beef, an ingredient you'd expect to pay a premium for at a much more expensive restaurant, yet the prices are incredibly reasonable. That may be my favorite thing about Rose's. You get thoughtful, chef-driven food made with excellent ingredients, but there is absolutely no pretension. It's fun, relaxed, welcoming, and accessible. Their philosophy that great food shouldn't be reserved for special occasions is something I LOVE. The hospitality was just as impressive. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care whether we were enjoying ourselves. The owners personally came over to talk with us, check on us, and make sure everything was perfect. That kind of personal connection is increasingly rare, and it made the experience feel special. There are plenty of places where you can get a burger. Far fewer places offer exceptional ingredients, serious culinary technique, immaculate attention to detail, genuinely warm hospitality, and a fun atmosphere - all without spending a fortune. Rose's Smash House is one of those places. If you're visiting Blue Ridge, put this on your must-do list. If you live here, I honestly don't know how this isn't already one of your regular spots. We left thinking, "We HAVE to come back." So you'll probably see us again this weekend. Rose's Smash House isn't just serving burgers. They're proving that great dining doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, it just has to be done exceptionally well. 10/10. Five stars. Would happily eat here multiple times per week. Blue Ridge is VERY lucky to have Rose's. read more

WARNING: This could become a long wordy review! WARNING 2: I don't do reviews as a rule. And I don't have a filter. So the length of this review might be socially unacceptable on earth. Excellent find in Blue Ridge. Family-Owned/Managed/& Staffed. Where to start? Off the main street and a little hidden. Atmosphere: I won't dwell on this. Many a business has hired an interior designer, and can't seem to deliver the food required. But this place is very cute. Unique. Clean. And the correct energy for most people dining out. Small bar. Did not experience the live music yet. The Foods: I'm a foodie and this place is a treasure of foods with just a small simple menu ...... they have some unique choices. Fresh ingredients. They have a salad that "looked" so good i came back a 2nd time to try the salad: in a burger place!!!! The salad: Beyond excellent but still doesn't beat the burgers. . Other restaurants should photograph these burgers for their menus. . I think the reason they look so good is because they are incredibly designed AND delicious. Perfect smash burgers! Perfection & Art! Great Salad. Perfect Onion Rings (but the order size was barely sharable. Not a deal breaker). Owners & Staff: Owner: Rose; stopped by my table and we had a great conversation about the business and her and her husband's philosophy and goals for this adventure. Staff: Delightful. Energized. Happy. Grateful. Off the chart cheerful. Big Smiles. Fun & Funny. Energetic. Focuses. Eager to please. Obviously, part of the family. focused on the success of the entire restaurant. I noticed other wait-staff eyeing my table for my potential needs, when my waitress was attending other tables. They all seem alert and eager! Down to earth people. If the Kentucky Derby's Run for the Roses, is the premier horse race.... ..... Rose's Smash House is the premier smash House and new "go to" in Blue Ridge. Bravo to all the Roses! read more

After nearly 10 hours on the road traveling to Georgia for a family wedding, we finally got to our hotel. We were starving and chose to eat at Rose's Smash House. Best burger, crunchiest fries and onion rings, crispiest Coke, hands down the most amazing strawberry ice cream. Our server Lily was so sweet and friendly too. Highly recommend going. Great food, great service, and cutest location to walk up and down Main Street! read more

The food is great, managed by experienced chef's. Nice menu but the smash burger is to die for. Not your run of the mill burger joint. The decor is unique as well. Service is excellent, plenty of staff to get it done and delivered to the table hot. read more
