Roses Cafe Senso has a great ambience and is very clean. The staff were courteous and the service was excellent. They offer a really nice mix of Persian-fusion style breakfasts and tasty lunch sandwiches. Definitely worth a visit!

Located just south of Hillcrest Mall, I visited this restaurant for brunch while I was up in Richmond Hill. The restaurant is very lively with lots of natural lighting, it was a very nice atmosphere and definitely a very popular location as we had to wait a bit for a table. We ordered the flatbread and jungle omelette. The flatbread was very flavourful and everything was evenly distributed on each piece. The jungle omelette was very delicious and was recommended by our waitress. We enjoyed the food and will definitely visit again when we are back in the area.

Long story short: Delicious and wide selection of brunch Persian foods! Long story long: Slightly pricey, but it's what you would expect in any brunch spot nowadays. My friend and I got the mushroom tomato omelette, which was cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth. The small mezes that came on the side were delightful (olives, honey, bread, herbs, cheese, tomato, cucumber). We also shared the sosis plate (sausages) which had a lovely spice to them (not spicy). We both had some nice (not too sweet) mochas, with lovely latte art on top. The decors was nice, the place was clean (and slightly spooky with some leftover Hallowe'en decor!) and the service was kind and attentive. Highly recommend it for a fulsome brunch. I'd definitely go again.

Very nice Iranian cafe, it's very busy and noisy though. Service is good and fast, foods and dinks are authentic.

One of the fancier cafes in the area. Great for meeting up or coffee dates. I strongly recommend Turkish coffee. Amazing service.

What a find! After finding that Demetres and Tim Hortons were both closed on a Saturday night, we went to the next plaza over and discovered this incredible new spot: Senso! With Persian desserts, fresh juices, all-day breakfast, Turkish coffee, and more, this place had everything: a bright, clean atmosphere, super friendly staff, and terrific desserts, lattes and juices. The pistachio cake was a definite favourite-- light and airy cake perfectly balanced with the crunch of the pistachios and the smoothness of the cream filling. Try it with some fresh fruit juice! The best part of the night was when we told them that it was our friend's birthday. "She is happy birthday!!!" the staff yelled, turning the Persian birthday song on full blast, which was just amazing and made us feel so welcome. Afterwards, the staff turned up the Persian pop music and they started dancing, and soon, the customers started to dance, too. This was a way better experience than we could've expected. Highly recommended!

A wonderful and cozy cafe with beautiful music, very tasty food, relaxing atmosphere and great service. I ordered coffee and tomato omelette and this was a very relaxing and filling breakfast. They also have plenty of pastries that I'm eyeing for next time.

The ambiance of this cafe is so cute! Very spacious and clean! Whether you're coming here for coffee, a chat, or even a date. The staff is so friendly and if you're joining them in-house they escort you to available tables and take your order there! Would highly recommend their espresso as its rich and flavorful. Their teas are imported which is a nice touch, but what I really loved is they ask you if you want more hot water on your tea cup as you finish your tea.

The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

The espresso here is excellent - well-bodied in flavour, medium roast (I think?), and pairs nicely with the sweetness of the cakes & pastries. There's also a wide selection of small personal cakes to choose from - just make sure you come early since they do sell out! We shared the cream & crumb cheesecake (simple, classic, and incredibly creamy!) and tiramichoux (think a tiramisu profiterole - such a fun twist!). Looking forward to my next visit already :)

We shared the Mango Bingsu, and it was huge--easily enough for the five of us. The flavor was a solid 9/10, super refreshing and delicious. If they had crispy corn flakes on top, it would've been a straight 10/10 for me. We also got two Dalgona Lattes, one with oat milk, and she differentiated them with the coasters, which was such an adorable touch. Now I need to go back just to try more drinks! Parking was free but a little awkward--spots are at an angle, and the plaza can get busy. But honestly, it's worth it. When we went, a few moms were catching up over bingsu, and it was such a wholesome vibe. Can't wait to be back and explore more of the menu!

Was happy to see they still carry the same menu items - especially my favourite injeolmi bingsu! (which I highly recommend). We tried the matcha croffle for the first time today. The croffle was nice and crispy and not too sweet. It was topped with matcha whipped cream(?), which was nice and light but feel as though matcha ice cream might have paired better. Service was friendly and quick as usual. There's free parking at the plaza, though a bit tricky to find a spot during peak hours (dinner-time to closing).

The space itself is bright, cozy, and modern. It's great for a casual brunch. The menu focuses on creative takes on classic brunch dishes, with most plates around $18-$25 and drinks about $6-$9. We tried the pork sausage shakshouka, pork jowl eggs benny, and a strawberry matcha latte. The drink was a standout--refreshing, nicely layered, and not overly sweet. The dishes themselves had good flavors and promising concepts. Unfortunately, the experience started off rough. Despite having a reservation, we waited over 30 minutes for a table during the busy Saturday brunch rush, and parking around the plaza was difficult. When the food arrived, the eggs in both the eggs benny and the shakshouka were overcooked, which was disappointing since runny yolks are key to both dishes. Overall, Corner Cafe has a nice vibe and an interesting brunch menu, but the long wait, tough parking, and inconsistent execution made the experience fall short this time.

I felt like I was transported back to Korea. There is a display case with cakes, pudding, and sandwiches and another where all the pastries (Kream bombs) are beautifully put out. These pastries are self serve - tongs and trays are provided for you to bring to the cash register area to purchase. I love that there are a variety of drinks. Everything looked so delicious and decadent. My friend and I ordered a matcha and strawberry matcha kream spanner. They were both so sweet and rich in flavour - I really enjoyed it. The tarot kream bomb was also a wonderful dessert. There were so many flavours to pick from and they all looked so good. We decided to go with the tarot, which did not disappoint. This is a cafe I would come back to - I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a cute spot to hangout solo or with friends/ family. When I entered, I was warmly greeted by staff. I ended up getting the Dubai chocolate cookies and four of the custard toasts (tiramisu, 2x creme brule, Dubai chocolate). They did not disappoint - the Dubai chocolate cookies were the perfect mix of chewiness and coconutiness. I'm not sure how to describe it but the coconut flakes packed so densely together when chewing was perfect! It was my first time trying the tiramisu toast - it was light and not heavy on the coffee flavour, which I appreciate. Definitely a great treat! Inside, there were several patrons sitting and relaxing - some sipping on a drink, some reading a book. I didn't sit myself but it seems like a great place to catch up with someone or to do some studying/work. Definitely would recommend you try this place out if you're in the area!
