Walked over from California tint. Been around this place tons and times and have never walked in. Finally did and I wasn't disappointed. This place literally has options for days. They offer breakfast burritos, sandwiches, hot food menu that consist of burgers, fries and the list goes on. Boba, thrifty ice cream and of course donuts. I ordered a bacon breakfast burritos. The ratio of the egg, potatoes, cheese and avocado were perfect. Taste was great but they could have given a little more of the bacon. Burrito comes with salsa that has no spice but still good. The ice coffee ehh it's okay it does its job. The ladies at the counter were just the sweetest. You can tell they have a lot regulars. They knew them all by name was I feel was just so homey. It's a great little quiet spot that I know gets busy. They're right across from RHS. I'll definitely be back to try some other items. So if ever in the area give them a visit you'll enjoy it. I had a bad experience at Rosemead Donuts. I purchased the Blue Frosted Cereal Donut ($1.95). Its crust tastes stale, and the bread tastes sour. GROSS. After two bites, the unfinished donut was thrown into the garbage can. (Note: There's a 3.5% added fee on card purchases.) I arrived at Rosemead Donuts on a weekday in the afternoon. Parking is difficult because the lot is small & cramped. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I can easily imagine customers giving positive reviews because staff is so pleasant. Staff quickly helped me. As mentioned, I hated the Blue Frosted Cereal Donut ($1.95). It has an artificial sugary top with a vinegary tasting dough. UGH. The dough didn't taste fresh at all... On ambiance, Rosemead Donuts is relatively clean, but crumbs are littered around. I did like the ventilation, so the business felt chill. There's also a couple tables; there's an ATM machine; and there's a big bottle of hand sanitizer. Overall, Rosemead Donuts left a disappointing experience. Been going there when it was Mr. Bill. It was a little hangout area for highschool students that has early/late band practices. Personally I would say the products have improved a lot now that it's Rosemead donuts. The products are soft and fresh. Friendly service and the owner herself, do invest in remembering and getting to know her customers; the community. I went there once and didn't return for a while but somehow she still remembered me as we spoke the same language. Small shop but clean! Picked up some goods for my friends as fuel to for moving day, and everyone complimented how delicious it tastes even hours later. Since they are Cambodian own, it would be nice to see Cambodian inspired pastries to share with the community. read more

RD is located on the corner of Rosemead and Mission. The main feature and drawback of this property is that the parking lot is super small and the spaces are small, so that parking can be a big challenge. The interior is a typical mom and pop donut shop with glass cases with donuts and limited other pastries and items, a counter, and limited tables for seating inside. We got an apple fritter, coffee cake, and breakfast burrito. Comparable to Uncle Joe's or Olympic Donuts, there are a variety of breakfast burritos and sandwiches. The apple fritter was a good size and was good quality. The coffee cake was cinnamon, but was not that sweet, which many of the customers in the area might like, but was not sweet enough for our taste. Nevertheless, it was moist and was a decent coffee cake. The breakfast burrito was just ok, not bad, not spectacular. Between Uncle Joes, RD, and Olympic, Olympic probably has the best parking and RD the worst. The quality at each is comparable. However, Uncle Joe's feels the safest, RD less safe, and Olympic had too many sketchy character there. Consequently, Uncle Joe's is probably a better spot than RD, but RD is a decent place to go if you are driving by and can get a parking spot. read more

Very decent donut shop! It's kind of hard to mess up fried dough with sugar. Pro: price is good ($1.75 for yeasted or cake donuts). I ordered a turkey, jalapeño, cheese croissant but I only got turkey and cheese. There wasn't much cheese and it wasn't quite melty enough. It was massive though so a good value for the price ($5.50). The dough of the donuts doesn't have much flavor, it's just sweet from the glaze. The donuts are also a tad greasy for my liking. You can tell that the dough is fried throughly (you can see the oil seep in about a millimeter). I personally prefer a very lightly fried donut. I came at 12 PM and it was still very busy. Even with how busy the shop was, with two workers, they were fast paced and very kind. It's a small corner shop but not too cramped or chaotic. Overall, a great spot for a quick pick up on Rosemead but Rose donuts is still my favorite (farther down Rosemead). read more

Stopped by here yesterday omw back to San Gabriel to grab some donuts. This ain't your standard donut shop... they have donuts, boba, smoothies, sandwiches, burgers, fries, hot dogs... they even have Thrifty Ice Cream!! I got 2 donuts and both were really delicious!! So fresh and the chocolate part wasn't overly sweet. I decided to try a Turkey Croissant sandwich for dinner. It was oh so delicious!! The warm, flaky, buttery croissant was soooo good and so fresh! They must have a magical sandwich maker in the back because this was THE BEST Turkey Croissant I've ever had!! I day dreamed about this sandwich at work all day, so I had to go back here and try another sandwich to see if I was just imagining how good it was yesterday. Tried the roast beef sandwich today. The hoagie roll in which it came in was also delightful! Crust was golden and crispy and the inside part of the bread was soft, warm, and elastic! I used to come here once a month on a weekend morning for about 5 years to get a dozen donuts with about 75% French Cruelles. Usually they would give one free donut ( total 13). I believe about a year ago I believe they changed management. No more French Cruelles. And no more free donuts. The donuts also don't look or tasted as fresh. The last 2 times donuts tasted stale. Will give them another try later this year if they bring at least the French Cruelles I might come back. otherwise there are like a donut shop every other street. read more

First time visiting this location. I give it a solid 4 1/2 stars. Sadly, this app won't let me give the half star. Being that it's next to a high school, it makes it understandable that it has so many other food options like sandwiches, Boba, cup of noodle, ice cream, fries, and burgers. The three ladies working, the counter were absolutely polite and welcoming. I explained that as my first time and just wanted to get a feel for the place. They had all your regular donuts, and a few Mexican bread, and of course classic American Pastries. There was one particular item that I've never heard of before. So when I ordered, I wanted to try it. It was called the butterfly, very similar to the cinnamon roll, however, it had a bit of a crumble almost like a streusel topping. Quite large and can be shared by a couple of people or one really hungry sweet tooth. The cinnamon roll that we got, was also quite large and tasty. You can taste the cinnamon and it was a nice even glaze on the hole roll. The next one we also tried was the apple fritter, and it was actually a fritter that you could taste and see the apples. Couple places we went to you could not see it at all. The only downside of this one was, it was a little smaller Than expected, but, very good overall. The only reason why we got a half star off was because of the chocolate old-fashioned. The chocolate old-fashioned in general was good but, it wasn't as crispy. The donut itself lacked flavor and the chocolate topping/frosting was thick and flavorless for chocolate. Most chocolate Topped old fashions have more chocolate flavoring. This was just too sweet with no flavor. I did like that. They had plenty of options for my large black iced coffee having three creamer. Options is always nice. I will say I would mind chilling there, but it is quite small, especially if you have a whole bunch of high schoolers coming through in the morning or afternoon. I will say I do like the fact that they have their own little first aid section to pick up some Tylenol when you get a headache or other options as well. On a completely different sidenote, you'll see a payphone outside doesn't work, but it's fun to see one on the outside. Parking is quite limited and mostly used for the laundromat next-door. Of course it is a very busy intersection, so please be mindful as you're leaving, Some people on the main street or not as accommodating as you're trying to leave the exit. I will definitely stop by again, especially when I noticed they had a buy one get one free Boba special. read more

The staffs here are nice and friendly. They can get chatty but all in good faith. Sandwiches take quite a bit to assemble. But if you get the ham n cheese croissant and the likes, that's fast. Lots of donut selection and all looking fresh. Place actually looks nice and clean and have more robust options since the takeover. Shop Offerings: They have an extensive menu that cover a whole lot of genres from boba/coffee to ice cream to pastries to burgers/sandwiches to hotdogs to burritos. Don't come here if you're looking for lotto, because that section has been taken out by the new owners. Credit Cards: $10.00 minimum purchase in order to use credit cards. Restroom Privileges: No restrooms in the shop, but you can always go next door to the laundromat to use the restroom. Cost 1 quarter to enter and use. Wait Time: Food can take a awhile depending when school is out (before school, lunch or after school). With that said, you can always call ahead and order whatever you want and pay when you get there. Ambiance/Decor: Your usual donut shop feel. The seats are the same as the previous owner. They don't allow indoor dining just yet. Service: Service is usually good when I patron this shop. Food doesn't take a long time to come out depending on how many people are ahead of you, but you can always call ahead for a nicer experience. Food Of Choice: The popular cheeseburger/hamburger is still great here. I do have to confess that when the new owners barely took over, the burger wasn't that great, After giving them two months to figure it out.... It was back to the good old times. Very yum! I usually ask for no onions and no seasoning on the hamburger patty. Super great place. Came here for the first time yesterday to get some donuts for my coworkers and everyone loved them, I especially loved the crumb donut. Came by this morning and got turkey,egg, cheese croissant sandwich and it's huge, delicious, and very fair price! The staff are super friendly and very pleasant in the morning. It's really nice coming in the morning and being greeted by them. The guy working there in the morning was also very helpful and accommodating when I asked him to just give me a random assortment of 2 dozen donuts. I was craving something sweet and decided to get some donut holes, since we work so close to it I asked hubs to pick some up for me and our staffs a as me of course he got a ham and cheese croissant, we warmed it up and tried it and it was pretty darn good! This time around it had a decent amount of cheese and ham, it wasn't dry the croissant was flakey overall pretty good. Way better than the first time around, and the donut holes are okay, the croissant outshined it lol. It was so good my hubs got it again the next day, not only 1 but 3 this time!
