The raised glazed here seemed like it was recently made - it was super good. Soft, moist, airy, chewy. So delish. The other donuts - coconut cake donut and old fashioned glazed were okay but definitely tasted like they weren't just made. I bet they're really good fresh though. The lady working was the only one there so if you go and don't see anyone, she might be in the supply room grabbing something (that's where she was when we went). All I can say is be patient and support this super nice lady. To the customers who throw their stir sticks in the ground: don't throw your freakin coffee stir sticks in the garden bed....there's a garbage can right next to it. What a weird entitled thing to do... the lady working has to clean it up every time. Have some decency and throw your trash in a trash can. read more

I've been coming to this donut shop since I was a little girl. Recently, I was visiting my brothers, and my daughter wanted a donut, so we stopped by this location. It brought back so many wonderful memories. The original owner was there, and it was so nice to see her again. As soon as I took a bite of the donut, it instantly reminded me of the mornings when my mom would bring us here as kids. The donut was absolutely delicious! I wish this place would clean up there business., who wants to go to a place when the outside of the building is dirty because you can only imagine what it must look like in the inside. Just came by to grab a couple donuts around 10AM. They tasted freshly made and delicious. You can always tell from the glazed donuts how good they are and these were great. On top of that, we ordered 6 donuts and the nice woman helping us threw in an extra sprinkle donut which my 2 year old was a big fan of. Went on a jalapeños ham and cheese croissant hunt and decided to try theirs. Let me freak it down for y'all. Croissants freshness: was okay, but you can tell they weren't freshly made that morning. Amount of fillings: good portion of ham but the cheese wasn't much. Quality of the fillings: could be better, in my opinion I just think fresh is always best than using old ham because we can tell right away. Overall taste wise: is okay better than other ones I tried around the area still need some work. We also go half a dozen of donut holes but the lady was nice enough to throw in another half on the house. Will prob give them another chance. Maybe go earlier and see if we can get a fresh croissants this time. read more

I've passed by Mitchell's Donuts all the time but I have never went until recently when I bought a dozen donuts for my department at work as well as a few ham and cheese croissants. Yum! Though I got here around 7am and still was about the 3rd car for the drive-thru, I still waited about 10 mins until I finally got my order in. Some people who went up to order instead of using the drive-thru got their order before some of us who were waiting at the drive-thru. So next time you see a line at the drive-thru, probably should walk up to the window because you might get your order faster and before the drivers. I ordered their dozen assortment donuts. You can tell they were fresh though I'm not sure about what happens towards the day. She got the donuts from the rack and they came out hot ready to go. Since I ordered the donuts for the department, I wasn't able to get a taste of their chocolate or glazed donuts. I did however take a bite into a pink frosting donut and it was good. However, if you're not a donut person, I suggest you order their ham and cheese croissant or their jalapeno ham and cheese croissant. Definitely one of the best places I've gone to for those. Plenty of ham/cheese but the jalapeno gives your ham and cheese croissant a kick if you love spice. I've never had a jalapeno ham and cheese croissant anywhere else so I can't really compare but this croissant had plenty of jalapenos to it. $12.xx for a box of dozen assorted donuts and 3 ham and cheese croissants? I was in need of picking up some type of indulgent quick dessert tonight and I thought Donut....while heading up Baldwin Ave off the 10 fwy I had remembered from high school the drive thru donut shop right on Valley Blvd off of Baldwin Ave. It was still there and looked the same! It was cool because I was on a business call and couldn't hang up and this is one of the few donuts shops that I know has a drive thru! Sweet! At 6pm at night I was surprised of the selection of fresh donuts on their shelves as usually after 6pm is DO NOT DONUTS...as most are made in the morning and it means they have been sitting most of the day. But these were good - to keep it simple I asked the friendly owner who realized I was on the phone in the car and whispered what I would like - I ordered a dozen twists and bars. When I got home everyone was really happy how fresh they were! I am definitely going back one morning to get my morning donut fix and coffee. The other donuts in the case looked great too and the prices are still reasonable! Only prob is the limited size of the parking lot but the drive thru well makes up for it by adding convenience to getting your donut fix. Tough to make the left turn off of Valley though so you might need to U-turn it up the street but lots of cool hole in the wall asian and mexican joints around. The neighborhood might be a little shifty at night because of the motels, etc. but go early and it is fine. read more

This review is long overdue. I donuts... but ONLY from here and Donut Hole in la Puente. The donuts here are fresh, light and fluffy. No heavy old oil taste or overly sweet with fake powder sugar taste. The Boston cremes are filled upon order. There's plenty of donut shops all around and I like to give them a shot in hopes of finding a good one closer to me. However, they usually are disappointed after 1 bite. I then throw away the rest because a bad donut isn't worth the calories. I live by Donut Man and though I try many times to love them they are guilty of the overly sweet fake sugar taste. read more

I understand Covid times are rough and the owners need to make money, but I would have much rather donated money to them than to have driven away thinking I was going to enjoy some donuts. I decided to get a dozen doughnuts for my work and remembered this place had a drive thru on the way to my moms dropping my daughter off. 1st I found out you couldn't get eclairs in a dozen since they're $1.75 each so I asked to get 1 separately for my self and was told "it takes too long to make" this was 6 am on Wednesday morning the busiest hrs for doughnuts and no éclairs. Find so I asked for reg dozen and was told $10 I thought to myself that's expensive for dozen, well maybe prices gone up since I last bought.
