Hello this review is for anyone considering selecting Deco Familia Rosecrans Funeral Home. My Godfather passed away on April 5 2021 and he was transported and housed by Deco Familia Rosecrans Funeral Homes. They assisted with viewing him and facilitating the cremation. I believe the service was flawless. I was notified of his passing at 9:50 am and he was transported by 11:30 am. Their attention to detail was flawless and swift. I was able to view my Godfather 4 days later and he was well taken care of and maintained. His presentation and state was phenomenal. I had to fly back home to DC and was notified, with time, when he would be cremated. Their coordination and constant communication placed me at ease and allowed me to grieve properly. My Godfather is now resting in a one-of-kind urn with his name engraved and the insignia of the Army etched on the side. Myriam Hidalgo, bless your soul. Someone as understanding and knowledgeable as she was deserves every good review possible. We had never prepared a funeral service, and because both of our parents had passed, we had so many questions. We had to ask so many details from beginning to end, and we were honestly concerned that maybe we were going to get ripped off with additional fees because we were so naive. However, Myriam and the entire staff were so patient. We told her right from the beginning what our budget was, and asked whether this was enough or not. She spent half an hour on the phone with us, discussing our needs. Then she scheduled a face-to-face meeting with us the very next day. (It was safe to do so during Covid, as her desk had a plexi glass between us and of course, they required masks.) In terms of pricing, the whole service was just under $6000, which is lower than other places we consulted with. Very responsive, understanding of an individual's grieving process, and warm-hearted. My experience with Deco Familia/Paramount. Years ago, when my dad's health began to decline, I stopped by their office to inquire about the funeral service plans they offered. I found one and paid for it in monthly installments. Addressing the financial aspect ahead of time made a huge difference. I was not overcome financially. My father passed away on May 29, 2022, by this date his plan had already been fully paid. As soon as he passed away, I contacted Deco Familia's representative, Jimmy. My beautiful Momma recently passed after succumbing to Alzheimer's. So it was really important to my brother and myself, that Momma's funeral services be top notch. Originally we were set to use Rose Hills when my mom passed away. Someone handed me Rosecrans Funeral Home info and I called to get pricing info. Jimmy was who we made first contact with. He was so nice and helpful over the phone. He understood my husband and I had a limited budget to work with and even gave us some contact numbers to help save some money. Everything worked out great. When I brought in my moms clothes I explained they were traditional Russian church clothes and Jimmy took notes on how everything was supposed to be placed. The day of the service Jimmy was awesome. I had explained to him that in Russian culture the close family doesn't carry the casket so jimmy was able to work something out Incase we needed help he had the man power to step in if needed to honor the culture.
