We had our 13th wedding anniversary dinner here after checking out The Odyssey movie across the street, and the food was very delicious as always but even better in person since we've been ordering takeout here the few times we've had dinner from the Rosebud Steakhouse. The service was excellent, and our waitress, Sonia, was very friendly, helpful, and hospitable. She took care of us and made us feel comfortable and very welcome. This was our first in-person dinner here, and it will not be the last time because of Sonia. We also love the atmosphere and the ambiance, so lovely and very quiet, just the way we like it. My wife loved that they surprised us with dessert for our anniversary, which we enjoyed very much and made the end of the dinner even more special. Thank you, Rosebud staff, for taking care of us tonight. We appreciate you guys!

Stopped for dinner on a Monday night. Wasn't very crowded and we were sat immediately. Nice inside, very bright with a lot of windows and white tablecloths. Opposite of most high end steakhouses which tend to be very dark Had a nice bourbon list so we ordered a couple bookers and reviewed the menu Decided on the lamb chop appetizer, a salad and the dry aged Kansas City strip Lamb chops were very good. Came in a flavorful sauce and were cooked perfectly Salad was good, very refreshing Kansas City strip was delicious. Dry aging changes the texture, gives it almost a ham like consistency. Was cooked as ordered and full of flavor Service was good, attentive but not too much Would definitely recommend

I was SO looking forward to this place and it started out well. Ralph and Angelo the hosts were a great first impression and we were greeted warmly and sat us at a booth which we didn't quite like as it was in a boring and sterile looking part of the restaurant and near the service doors with ugly fluorescent lights. They did quickly and graciously moved us with no attitude. Our server was new and it showed. She didn't bother introducing herself to us so we don't know her name. Monte was her mentor and we tried to be patient but she def needed help. Our drinks were sooo slow to arrive and she even forgot my friends Prosecco. Apps were just ok. We had calamari which was meh and then our salads came. The chopped salad was fresh and delicious. Our friends split the wedge and they liked them too so definitely the salads here were good! Now the bad part: 3 of us got the dry aged Kansas City strips. It had a nice dry aged funky flavor however all were tough and NOT TENDER whatsoever. We're not one to send anything back bcoz we just can't fathom wasting meat especially at this price point. They were cooked as ordered but I've never had tough prime steaks ever. Actually I've never had such tough steaks even if they were just Angus. Steaks from Jewel were far superior and I'm not exaggerating. Just Not good. My friend got the lone dover sole which looked promising. They deboned the sole tableside and I must say Monte did a fantastic job however we all took a taste of it and it tasted way fishy and definitely not fresh. Even the creamy sauce that came with it could not mask the fishy flavor. If you've ever had Dover Sole at RL restaurant in the city, you know what great Dover sole is. This was NOT it. Sides were also kinda iffy too. We had the steak fries which were ok; Au gratin cauliflower was a cheesy flavorless mess. The crisp Brussels sprouts were the clear winner however! Desert-wise we got the carrot cake which I loved and butter cake was average. Overall We spent over $600 bucks and it just went down the drain. How unfortunate because we need a good steakhouse out here and I wish this place the best but whoever their meat purveyor is, they need to go somewhere else because the steaks are NOT GOOD. I've read other reviewers say the same thing about tough steaks and I should've heeded the advice. Atmosphere-wise the restaurant was a bit cold feeling. Not temperature-wise but it felt disjointed. The main area would be the place to be seated because the rest of the place looked like an office space filled with restaurant stuff but it looked a little unfinished. The lighting sucked and lacked any warmth ergo office atmosphere. I Hope this review helps others too. I don't think I'll be coming back any time soon. Sorry not sorry

12 oz filet mignon. Steakhouse mashed.

Rosebud just opened in Wheeling and me and my husband decided to go there for our anniversary. This was my first time at a Rosebud and the food was great. FOOD: We stared with the fork and knife bacon and lobster GOT. Both were delicious! The bacon was juicy and super thick. Just like the title, you'll definitely need a fork and knife to eat the bacon. My favorite was the lobster GOT. It was buttery and there were large chunks of lobster meat. It paired nicely with the crostini. For our main dish I had the short rib bolognese and my husband had the 12 oz filet mignon. He ordered it medium rare. The bolognese was okay. It was on the salter side for me but my husband likes it. The filet mignon was amazing! He did have to send it back because the middle was very rare-- almost blue. When they redid the steak, it was perfect. We also ordered the bake Mac and cheese and steakhouse mashed. The Mac and cheese was my favorite thing there. It's probably one of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. Since it was our anniversary, they gave us a free tiramisu. It was really nice of them and we did not expect that at all. And the tiramisu delicious. I'll definitely come back but I want to try their other dishes. SERVICE: our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable of the food. He was attentive for the most part but it kinda seems like they're understaffed. Overall, Rosebud is a great date night place. It's definitely an upscale restaurant and the dress code is business casual.

The best experience, all the food was delicious, and the service of the waiters greatly exceeded my expectations, super recommended!

Mi amiga and I came here for their happy hour and tried most of the app on their happy hour menu and all of them tasted soo good. We both shared the iron skillet dumpling, short rib quesadilla, rigatoni vodka, mac n cheese, burger slider, mini meatballs. Service was great! Anthony and Sonia were superb and the place is great, we heard each other pretty good. Not loud at all . I will definitely go back!

Tiramisu with finger nail in it.

I had a really mixed experience at Rosebud. I want to start by saying our server was honestly great--very friendly, attentive, and did a really good job taking care of our table. Unfortunately, the food was another story. I ordered a burger and it just tasted awful. Definitely not what I expected and not something I would order again. The worst part came with dessert. When I started eating the tiramisu, I found what looked like a fingernail in it. It was honestly disgusting and completely ruined the meal for me. Again, I want to give credit where it's due because the service itself was really good. But between the burger tasting terrible and finding something like that in the dessert, it was a pretty bad experience overall.

My husband and I were very happy to welcome this beautiful restaurant to our community. Carryout is convenient and we have picked up dinner three times so far. Our first in-person visit was on January 3rd, and we look forward to the next one. Cocktails are excellent and bartenders Miguel and Luis are welcoming and knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu and other aspects of the business. So far our favorite food items have been the Maryland Crab Cake, Brick Chicken and Chicken Parmesan.

We enjoyed: - sauteed soft shell crab appetizer, $32 - seafood stir fry with chow fun noodles, $24 - chargrilled halibut with red potatoes and string beans, $40 The stir fry had a surprisingly nice and deep "wok hay" Asian flavor. The sauteed soft shell crab was pretty oily and a bit disappointing for the high price. We would have preferred salt and pepper preparation, but only sauteed or tempura were offered. I knocked the dinner rating back a star due to this item, but it was still a nice solid dinner overall. The chargrilled halibut was tip-top delicious as usual. The atmosphere is casual, dated, and JANKY with the table napkins being paper towels from the bathroom. The food was just average. The king crab was dry and lacked flavor, while the fish of the day (halibut) was overcooked and served in an average-sized portion. Nearly everything was smothered in butter, which overwhelmed the dishes rather than enhanced them. The only real highlights were the complimentary garlic butter rolls and the mud pie dessert. The house special Mai Tai was decent, but nothing memorable. Overall, this place simply wasn't worth the hype. I wouldn't go back--hard pass.

Service was attentive and prompt. My husband and I shared the lobster bisque and that was a bit of a let down. I'm used to the lobster bisque from Texas de Brazil, which is flavorful and creamy. The one at Boston fish market was thicker and had more of a flat taste. There wasn't a deep seafood flavor in the soup but the small chunks of lobster were nice. The price to value seemed very imbalanced and this is coming from someone who is quite accustomed to city prices. The menu is huge, IMO too big. It would be great if they trimmed it down to do fewer things flawlessly. This place is great for big groups, the room we were seated in is built for parties of 8+. We started out with the garlic bread on our table and ordered the appetizer platter. The platter was fine, but the addition of guac was odd and it wasn't very good. I ordered the lobster roll and my husband the mahi. They only serve the lobster roll hot, but I generally prefer cold. The bun was a pretzel roll, which I didn't love. They should put the butter on the side, so the whole thing felt dry. They served it with tartar sauce, which was an interesting choice. Husband was unimpressed with his mahi. Service started off strong and then fell off a cliff. Our server was attentive when we needed to order and then absent through pretty much the rest of the meal. We asked a busboy for more water and someone went to find our server to get our check. Basic things like ketchup for fries wasn't even considered. Maybe the Des Plaines location is better, this one didn't live up to the hype or price.

Outside of somewhat uncomfortable seating, this restaurant impresses on all levels. The decor is…read morefun and transforms you into a different world during your meal, service is quick and friendly, prices are surprisingly reasonable the amount and quality of food you're getting, flavors are on point (and on the healthier side of cooking for this style), and presentation is great. The other struggle will be with parking as this place is generally very packed during dinner hours. After several visits here, I've decided that the best way to order is to get large dishes to share with others. While, individual size servings are great -- there is a ton of spots nearby great for 1-2 people, but this spot does offer some nicely presented large dishes like bossam which are great for serving. I also find the seafood pancake to be a generous size with plenty of seafood and a nice crisp edge. These are definitely prepared with minimal seasoning, relying instead on an assortment of sauces to infuse the food with flavor. The bulgogi similarly, is tender and presented with lots of cabbage, more of a cold day comfort food instead of a seared version with thick sauce as you may find in other nearby locations. Definitely aim for some spicy dishes like the spicy pork bbq with mozzarella cheese if you're coming here, as the spicy options are on a different level of flavor and depth (similar to most Asian food you'll find in the area). Again, the meat is prepared very tender with an explosion of flavor. Overall, excellent food with excellent presentation and surprisingly affordable pricing. Probably one of the best values you'll find from a Yelp Top 100 US restaurant.

I have been wanting to try this place because my sister was raving about it. When you first walk…read moreinto the place it's really nice. The service was great they were checking on us and following up on everything and very attentive. Now let's go to the food my sister recommended the shank I opted for the pork tank I think they also have a lamp one but the pork one was really good and super tender you don't even need a knife for it you just cut it with your fork or spoon in the meat comes off the bones right away. The pasta we ordered was also good came with the sausage it was the sausage rigatoni with sausage. My sister recommended the crispy brussel sprouts she said it was really good but we opted to go for the octopus I feel like the octopus was over seasoned a bit but it was cooked perfectly really tender. Will definitely be coming back to this place to try more stuff on their menu. Happy eating!

We had made a reservation a month in advance to try a new restaurant on Father's Day. However, as…read morethe day approached, the weather forecast consistently called for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and possible flash flooding. We decided it was not a good idea to drive to an unfamiliar area in inclement weather and canceled the reservation on Friday night. We were fortunate that Social Inn is close by and is a great restaurant for celebratory dining. Best of all, they still had reservation available. As it turned out, it was just light rain the entire evening on Father's Day, but we didn't regret the change at all. Although the restaurant was not filled to capacity, it was bustling with many families celebrating Father's Day, creating a festive vibe. It's the first time that we met the owner, Daniella, who's so warm and welcoming. She invited us to choose from available tables in three different dining areas. We selected the table right by the lounge that had a large TV, homey décor, couch and cocktail table. It was also right by the big window overlooking the small and charming front patio. Our server, Chis, was very friendly, pleasant, and attentive. I ordered a Lemonade ($3), my husband and daughter each enjoyed a glass of Mer Soliel Reserve Chardonnay (2 for $26). We shared a Grilled Octopus ($22) which was cooked to perfection. The warm, lightly charred pita points paired well with the creamy and tasty beet hummus. I had a Slow Roasted Lamb Shank ($39) which was tender and full of flavors. It was a very generous portion that I shared a big piece with my husband; and still had leftovers to take home. It made a delicious lamb sandwich for my next lunch. My husband liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) so much last time that he ordered it again. Our daughter enjoyed her order of Rigatoni Sausage ($23), another generously portioned dish that she couldn't quite finish. By the end of the meal, we were too full for individual desserts, so we shared a Crème Brûlée ($8), which was the perfect sweet ending. All in all, it was a wonderful dinner. With consistent delicious dishes, warm hospitality, comfortable seating, and a convenient location, we will definitely be back again.
