Excellent food with a nice variety of meals. Just wish they had more than a 4 week rotation on their meals. Prompt delivery

I stopped in on a Wednesday around 7:15 pm; it was comfortably busy, and parking was easy in the large parking lot. I accidentally entered through the back door that was right by where I parked, but was warmly welcomed by Jimena, who explained it was table service and she would be my server. I chose a standard table and was seated at a cozy two-top facing a beautiful, full-length bar and two TVs. The colorful Mexican décor and warm vibe made it feel like dining among neighbors and friends. I started with a refreshing Jamaica agua fresca brewed from dried hibiscus flowers ($4.50), it's slightly sweet and floral and served in a mason jar. For food, I ordered the Baja Fish Taco ($6) and the Short Rib Taco ($7.50). The fish taco featured crispy beer-battered cod with coleslaw, cilantro, cheese, lime, and chipotle aioli on a cheese-crusted tortilla, it was delicious, but I wish the fish had been a bit thicker. The 24-hour braised short rib taco topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and avocado was rich and flavorful. The red salsa was a bit watered down with not much flavor, but the taco was flavorful and didn't need it. I was already full but couldn't resist to order the Mexican Key Lime Pie ($8). It was beautifully presented and drew attention from the table of 4 next to me. I enjoyed a couple of bites and took the rest home. It was quite tart but was balanced well by the abundance of whipped cream. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and satisfying food. I'm happy to have such a solid Mexican spot in the neighborhood and look forward to returning with my family to explore more of the menu.

We have tried both the regular version and the spicy, and which is our favorite? Both! It is an addictive dish -- so order the large size -- you will devour it all! Having this delicious dish a few years ago sent me down a rabbit hole where I was determined to make it myself. I can make it myself, yes, but HBS is far superior. Everything is packed nicely, and even their packages of nori taste better. This is a fun dish for a party (everyone will ask you where you got it) or even just to treat yo self.

It requires a bit of planning ahead for dinner, but well worth it since it's one of the few meals that my entire family enjoys. It's basically a big box of rice and crab filling. You heat it in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Scoop it into seaweed, which the kiddos find super fun...and you've got yourself an easy and healthyish dinner. We've tried both the regular and spicy and all prefer the regular. One large + one small is perfect for my family of 5 and we always have enough for leftovers the next day...and it tastes just as good a day later. I've been told it's extra good if you slice up cucumbers and avocado to add to it, but even that requires too much prep for me and it's been tasty enough on it's own. We've had it twice over the last few weeks and everyone enjoyed so much that I plan to make it part of our regular dinner routine.

When we went to Vietnam for a 5-day side trip back in March, 2025, we were fortunate to have tasted…read moresome very good Vietnamese food, including a Michelin-starred dinner and a Michelin Gourmand lunch. Some of my very memorable foods include every bowl of beef pho that was offered to us. The beef was tender and flavorful, the pho (rice noodles) was thin and smooth. Tonight, we were having takeout from one of our favorite eateries, Basu, again. Since the first bowl of beef pho that did not totally meet our expectations, we had been ordering chicken pho from them. Their grilled chicken has always been smooth and cooked nicely. Their sweet soy glazed chicken wings are finger-licking good. We like their ground pork egg rolls with crunchy skin as well. This time I wanted to give their beef pho another chance, and see how it would compare to those that I had in Vietnam, and hope that they have made some improvement over two and a half years. Well, it is still the same. The beef was not tender, although not too chewy, it was kind of rough. The pho was not as smooth as I would like it to be. The broth still tasted good and not too salty, though. The chicken pho and egg roll were still good. (We remove the side bag of raw bean sprouts, lime, and basil from the order, as we don't eat them). It is a still a solid 4-star. Next time I will switch back to chicken pho again. I am still glad that we have this Vietnamese eatery close by!

All the ingredients are standard with the Cali burrito. You can choose from a spice level mid or spicy . I went with eh spicy . They have a lot of protein you can choose from like grilled chicken, sirloin, steak, Carnitas, shredded beef, brisket, seasoned ground beef, or sautéed vegetables with guacamole. The burritos is on the smaller side, but it packs a punch full of flavor. From the fries to the salsa to the fresh pico. Highly recommended the Cali burrito. They also have this salsas, cilantro, and jalapeño and spicy pickled carrots station where you can help yourself . They also serve liquor here . The decor inside definitely has the Spanish theme. From the art on the wall to the vines hanging down from the ceiling . The service is great. I love how they have the open kitchen where you can see them cook.
