Tried the koobideh and chicken kebab. It was Delicious! Very soft and tender. The rice was soft. Will definitely visit again!

Loved it, found a new favorite in the area. The homemade hummus and baklava were good. Only complaint is the baklava was a bit softer than normal. Anyway, had the kofta kabob with the saffron rice. The person was huge...so, beware. Had a hiccup with the address, but unsure if I entered it wrong, or it didn't take on the EAT site. Going to get more adventurous next time and perhaps visit the restaurant personally. read more

Very Clean and the perfect service. Me and my husband had a lunch today. The koobideh kebab was the best i have ever had. Also, baklava was fresh and delicious. The Persian tea had a great flavor in it. I believe the prices are very low comparing to the size of the dishes. We will definitely go back. I highly recommend this place!!!! read more

By far the best Persian kebab in the area! I've tried numerous restaurants and no one has barg and koobideh as soft/tender and juicy as Rose Restaurant. You can tell the barg is really made with filet mignon; very tender and melt in your mouth. The koobideh, which usually comes out dry in most places, stays moist and soft the whole time. My point of comparison will always be Shamshiry in Vienna, VA, and I must say this is just as good. I went with my grandfather who is originally from Iran, and the fact that he liked it, there's no arguing it - he's a very picky eater. Will definitely be coming here more often! read more

Went to Rose Persian for the first time last Wednesday. We were welcomed as we entered the restaurant. It was my DH's birthday and we had a wonderful lunch. We have eaten Persian food many times. The food was excellent and beautifully served. and we plan to return to Rose often. I ordered KashkeBadmjan and it was devine. DH ordered lentil soup which was very good. For our main dishes I ordered Fesenjan (crushed walnuts with boneless chicken cooked in pomegranate paste) and DH had Khoresh Gheymeh with Bademjan (chunks of beef, dried lemon and yellow peas simmered in tomato sauce with fresh eggplant). I loved the pomegranate sauce. For dessert we shared an order of baklava which is prepared in the restaurant. Excellent! The waitress was very friendly though her English was limited. After we ordered dessert the owner came out to chat with us. Go, you will enjoy it. Another good thing is that there is easy parking behind the restaurant. read more

I went here with some friends and we used a Groupon deal that was $40 for $80 worth of food. We got to enjoy 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, 2 desserts & tea with our deal. The restaurant has red walls and beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. There is a big TV in one corner that feels out of place but it is muted so it didn't disrupt anyone's conversations. On a freezing night I enjoyed my beef stew with peas and tomatoes. Our hummus and eggplant dip appetizers were enjoyable, especially the eggplant. read more

Loved the food here! It was only my 3rd time having Specifically Persian food but I have tried many middle eastern dishes. I got the hummus to start & sadly it had a strange sour taste to it hence the 4 stars instead of 5. No biggie cuz hummus is the standard, can get it anywhere nowadays. The waitress switched it out for another appetizer with no problem, (kashk badmjan) which was so good. For my entree, I ordered the ghormeh sabzi which is a beef dish with red beans & spices that came with a large amount of saffron rice & white rice. Rice was good, a little on the buttery side , but good. One of the waiters explained to me how to eat the ghormeh sabzi with the rice cuz I mixed all the beef, rice & beans together & that's not how the Persians eat it. Oops lol also had to add the mast-khiar & a little Tabasco to it cuz it needed a kick . The barbari (bread) we got when we first sat down wasn't that great but didn't go there for the bread. What started as an enjoyable evening, ended up a disaster with management (owner). We have had Middle Eastern food locally and abroad, but never have we had experience the lack of quality and rudeness from this restaurant. The service was superb and attentive, but that's where it stops. Our dinners were NOT to our expectations, and we ask to speak to the manager/owner to discuss the preparation of our dinners. He refused to speak with us and also refused to take back the dinners. The waitron was extremely embarrassed and extended a sympathetic apology for the owner's behavior. We came in here based on the reviews on here and because we really love the cuisine. I ordered the Koofteh (meatball) . What I got was one gigantic rock hard FROZEN meatball. So this should tell you a few things: 1) Its not made to order or fresh; 2) The chef does not even know how to defrost a meatball; 3) There is probably more going on behind the scenes. The waiter was apologetic saying it was the chefs fault. Which was kind of obvious and the waiter was nice enough. We got no manager or owner to try and rectify the situation. The waiter only offered me another meatball. No thanks, reminded me of that Kitchen Nightmare show on TV. We will not be returning. read more

I drove thirty minutes to eat here and they did not have two plates that I wanted .. Two ! Why are you advertising dishes that you don't even provide ? A waste of thirty minutes . I was forced to order a dish that I knew nothing about and I absolutely did not like it ( chicken with pomegranate sauce ). Then finally I was charged four dollars for a few pieces of tahdig! Four dollars . Not once was I told sorry for not having the two main plates I went there for and nothing was done to remedy the situation . Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. The Gormeh Sabzi was pretty good, and the chicken kabob was excellent. The eggplant dip (not baba ganoush) was delicious. I am sure if you are going for the kebabs, this is an authentic place, but as a vegan, this is probably not the best restaurant to go to. My husband and I were excited to try Persian food and this particular restaurant as we have passed the place numerous times, but unfortunately the vegetarian/vegan options were not impressive. The hummus and dolmeh were pretty good as appetizers. The pomegranate sauce on the dolmeh was a nice touch. The two entrees we ordered were the Khoresh Gheymeh and the Khoresh Ghormeh Sabzi. The Khoresh Gheymeh had an overpowering sour tomato taste and the Khoresh Ghormeh Sabzi was very earthy tasting (probably all the fenugreen). Even though I asked for the Khoresh Ghormeh Sabzi to be vegetarian, there were shreds of meat in it, perhaps an accident, but not pleasing. Silly restaurant with lots of silly rules for groupon (IE. empty restaurant - friday at 6:30) can not sit you without resevations - came back next week and had reservations - half the tables were empty through out the night). Had rule with groupon about one dish you can not offfer - had to guess that was the one that was good because our food was mediocre, Service was adeuate but as a newbie to persian food - help staff was almost frightened to encourage or advise in spite of being asked. read more
