Wow, hard to know where to start here. I'm having an Rx compounded currently--and have been for over a month--and need to transfer it to Bend. Apparently Rose is the only place in Central Oregon still compounding...I called *everyone* else in town after reading the horrendous reviews on yelp first. Left with no other options, I reluctantly called Rose. I was so put off and offended by the pharmacist who took my call that there's NO WAY I'm ever doing business here!!! The pharmacist told me that my Rx is "illegal" to compound; when I told him I'm currently having it compounded & just want to transfer it to Bend when I'm in town, he assured me that "no reputable pharmacy" would be providing this service. I tried to *educate* him on what I've learned the past 2 months--that there is currently a drug shortage on Wegovy/semaglutide and that compounding has been permitted although this will be banned after April 21, 2025, however, he kept talking over me and wouldn't even let me finish. When I was able to get a word in, he was very condescending, dismissive, rude, and abrasive. I have a short day trip planned for Medford so I guess I'll do some major rearranging to coordinate going to a pharmacy when I'm there. Very sad and unfortunate, but I wouldn't recommend going to Rose to ANYONE I know based on my experience today. read more

I've used Rose Pharmacy since around 1998, while it was located within St Charles. Bob Rose is a highly qualified compound specialist who also has a big heart and a strong will. I've heard some complain about his blunt comments and, frankly that's the primary thing I look for in a pharmacist. The reason is, he tells the truth and gives his opinion in short sentences, about just any question you want answered. Want him to speak bluntly? Just ask him why he doesn't do Medicare, and you'll get his firm and logical opinion. Want him to tell you about a specific prescription that you asked for, that he is dead set against producing it due to technical flaws that some compound specifics contain. He will tell you in no uncertain way. Early on in my days of using his services, I will have to admit that he caused me to raise my eyebrows a notch higher, as it was a "shock" to hear his comment. But I held on to him, since I "got" what he was saying and even if I didn't agree 100%, I respected his statements for what they were: his opinion and based on a whole lot more research than I had for proof. And he let me know the details, since I didn't say an airy "whell" and stick my nose in the air as I was leaving. Bob's a man of integrity, kindness, boldness, humor, fun, courage, and willing to explain his specific logic regarding his compounding and personal knowledge of decades of his life. read more

The rudest person I have ever met! Because my prescription sat on the shelf for a few days, he refused to give me my medication! Like who are you? You don't get to decide that or how long my meds sit there. I'm the one paying for them and it's my health and life! I don't appreciate being in a life or death situation because I can't get my meds he should be sued my health will not be controlled by a pharmacist, who decides how long my meds sit on the shelf there is no time limit. I'm a nurse and this is not okay! I would never do business here again, and I actually tried him again after leaving for a year.., I came back to complete hell again! I think Bob is an old time pharmacist who is very precise and knows a lot about the drugs he dispenses. He also gives information and asks questions , to make sure you know any side effects or contraindations. I like the personalized service you get at Rose Pharmacy. read more

The owner is AWFUL!!! He's so extremely rude and will scold you for not ordering earlier than 7 days out. He also wants to give unsolicited advice when you tell him the medication you need. OMG! I ended up hanging up on him because I just couldn't deal any longer with his unprofessional and condescending BS. Go somewhere else or have your meds shipped to you. I'm happily paying $25 extra to have my dogs medication couriered to me from another pharmacy. It's a small price to pay to avoid the abuse you'll take from Rose Pharmacy. read more

My dr sent an Rx in, and a week later they called me to ask if I wanted it. Of course I wanted it! That's why my dr sent it in! Sadly, I was headed out of town and I told the lady that I'd they can't get it done in the next day, don't bother. I'll be gone for a month and won't be able to get it. A week later the pharmacist himself called to tell me it was ready. Wut? I told him I was sorry, but that I explicitly told his co-worker that I was headed out of town. Fast forward 10 months and I now need another compounded Rx. He has the nerve to call the dr and tell them he won't fill it because I didn't pick it up. His reputation (and rating) is there for a reason. They are incompetent and rude. Luckily there is another compounding pharmacy in Redmond, and others on-line are happy to mail it to you. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere. read more

If you need your prescription soon, which most of us do since the doctor gave us the prescription and we are generally in pain or sick and need it to get well, DO NOT go to this pharmacy. There is an attitude that you don't matter and should simply sit around and wait for them to call you when it's ready. And, believe me, that takes many days. If you call to inquire if it's ready, you will be told that there is a bad connection, even though you hear them very clearly. Happened to me twice. They choose not to deal with you so claim the connection is breaking up. I called early one Thursday morning to order a refill. I told them that I was leaving on vacation Sunday and asked if it would be ready by then. I was told that they had to check that a refill was alright and probably have to call the doctor office (the label stated one refill) and make sure it wasn't too few days ( no pain pills involved in this) to refill it. They said they would call when it was ready. And that was that. Made you feel like you were a bother and they were superior to you and actually enjoy making you wait on them. They did not call before I had to leave so I ran out on vacation. They called about 3:30 the following Tuesday. Granted, Monday was a holiday, but it still took them 4 work days to complete the order. I read a couple good reviews which I do not believe for a moment are legitimate customers. The majority of people had experiences just like me. From what I see, both people there are sadly lacking in people skills. They do their best to lose business. I don't understand why they are in business since they couldn't care less for their customers. I could give an opinion of this business in fewer words but I am afraid those words would be a bunch of !×#%*?#@ etc. Our country is full of hate right now, we sure don't need it from a pharmacy. There is a compound pharmacy in Redmond. I guess if I ever need them again. I will simply drive the additional miles. I will never allow them to treat me so poorly again at Rose pharmacy. read more

I definitely do NOT recommend this pharmacy. I have a prescription for a compound cream that I was trying to transfer from Atlanta. I took the tube of cream to this pharmacy, so they could see the exact ingredients. The pharmacist was so freaking weird. He acted as though I was up to something and suggested that my former pharmacist was committing a crime by concocting the cream that my doctor prescribed. He thought that my Atlanta pharmacist had created a copy of a manufactured cream, which he said is illegal. He proceeded to tell me that a local pharmacist in Oregon lost his license due to copying manufactured compound drugs. W was with me and he was in pain from his sprained ankle. He sat down in a chair, while I dealt with the pharmacist. His opinion was based on the prescription details provided by my former pharmacist. W asked him what the manufactured drug was and he went to his computer to see if he could find it, but he couldn't. He told us he was wrong, but that he still couldn't fill the prescription because he wasn't familiar with one of the ingredients. I was a little dumbfounded. There are no other compound pharmacies in Bend, so I think I will have to go to Portland. His attiude was so paranoid and accusatory. I asked him if I could call my previous pharmacy and have them provide the details and he said that I could. Reflecting upon my experience with this pharmacy, I choose not to return. He could have called my pharmacist or doctor, but he didn't even mention that. I suggested it and he agreed, but this experience was so weird that I don't want to go to the trouble of having to deal with him again. BTW, his co-worker (cashier) was a sweetheart. Bob spoke to me like I was a complete idiot so I told him, "Since you feel the need to be so rude to your customers I'm just going to take my business elsewhere" and I hung up on him. My obgyn faxed over a prescription on Monday. I didn't need it right away, so I didn't stop in to pick it up until Thursday afternoon. When I mentioned my name and that I was there to pick up a prescription, the man behind the counter looked me up in the computer, and then said he didn't have anything for me. He finally did find a paper copy of the prescription when he walked to the back to check. He told me that they hadn't had a chance to get to it yet and that there were several prescriptions ahead of mine (This is over 72 hours after my doctor said she sent the prescription to them). He then said that he needed to put my information into the computer and asked me all the information that was right in front of him on the prescription sheet, i.e. my name, address, phone number, birthdate, etc. He asked me why I was getting this particular prescription, and I had to bite my tongue so I didn't tell him to mind his own business. He didn't need to know the why behind the prescription. He then told us that insurance wouldn't cover it, which we knew because my ob had already told us that, but she said it wasn't expensive at all. He told us it would be $78. My husband and I both said, "No way!" We told him that the doctor told us it would be cheap, and he said that that was cheap for a handmade medication. Sorry, but $78 does not fit my definition of cheap. We most definitely won't be going back. read more

Terrible customer service, by the Pharmisist and possibly the owner. After having a 2 hour uncomfortable breast biopsy procedure at CORA, I took my small prescription for pain to Rose Pharmacy, just down the street. I went to this pharmacy thinking it would be fast and easy, so I could get home. The pharmisist refused the written prescription!, sending me back to CORA. Saying "it was not filled out correctly", and questioning the Dr's. name, position and signature. He said Radiologists don't really write prescriptions, and didn't take the time to call CORA. I then drove the prescription back to CORA, telling them what just happened. They couldn't understand why The prescription was refussed. It had everything the pharmacy needed. They called Rose, I then drove back with the same written prescription. The Pharmisist was rude and grouchy. I felt like, he thought I was trying to just get drugs. FYI: "We don't take insurance". I got home and received a call from Dr. Brown (whom I give 6 stars). He personally apologized for the problem and inconvenience Rose Pharmacy caused me. This should not happen. Dr. Brown went to the Pharmacy to speak with them. The Pharmisist also told me, "they are the only REAL pharmacy". The others are all just chain stores. What do I care, I just want to get home. CUSTOMER SERVICE is the most important asset a Business has! ESPECIALLY A SMALL ONE. I WILL NEVER recommend ROSE PHARMACY to anyone. read more

I read the few negative reviews. My experience with Rose Pharmacy has been just the opposite. I've had compound prescriptions filled at Rose and not had any problems. The customer service attitude was great as was the service. I don't expect instant service with compounds, so I plan ahead to get refills. read more

I purchase Estradiol Cream from this pharmacy. They formulate the cream at a reasonable price. The cream is provided in a wonderful creamy formula that has stopped my hot flashes and sleepless nights, and only requires a pea-sized bit applied 3 times each week. I have purchased this same cream from another local pharmacy; but, the container that it came in was half the size of Rose, and the slightest pressure would shoot out three times the required dosage . . . at the same price! Also, my hot flashes and sleeplessness returned!!! So, I do highly recommend Rose Pharmacy. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The staff are inefficient, unhelpful, and blatantly uninterested in helping their customers. The pharmacist is unimaginably pompous, uneducated, and rude.
