After being turned away from a different nail salon that was too busy to take me, I decided to come here based on their reviews and the fact that I called and they said they would take me right then and there. I came in with square shaped acrylics and requested just a fill. I told the technician that I wanted them more coffin-shaped; skinny and then squared off at the end. She said sure and it seemed like a pretty simple fix. What she failed to do was trim my cuticles whatsoever. You'll notice in the picture I'm posting that my cuticles look awful. I did request gel color and was expecting to pay more for this, however, my total came out to $43 BEFORE TIP. For a FILL! I wish they had a picture of the price board so I could figure out how that is possible. That sounds about what I would pay for a full set but not for a fill where she did a half a**ed job/ignored my cuticles, and I didn't even ask her to trim them I asked her to keep the length. At the end she did give me a hand lotion massage and I'm not sure if she charged me for this but if so I'm pretty mad because I wasn't asked if I wanted this. I don't need to pay $10 for two pumps of some lotion I don't like. I'm disappointed. With five stars I had high hopes. I would like to note that the salon itself is gorgeous. Its welcoming, clean, and my technician did offer me water and even brought the basket of gel colors for me to rifle through while she got started. They were hospitable and kind. My nails nails always look great and the prices are very reasonable. They don't seek for you to puff up their social media ratings, in lieu of sincerely doing a great job, like other local salons I've been to. The staff quickly befriends you. Can to get an overlay on my nature nails and gel polish. 3 of my nails are bleeding at the cuticle. The gel polish flooded my cuticle of 3 nails. She tried to put nail glue on my cuts instead of treating the wound. I had to come home file off all my gel polish and redo them. She took money off the price but I would have rather her fix them. I only gave a two star because in the past when others have done my nails they were ok. This salon over charges for their services and just doesn't do quality work. It was my first visit to this salon and came in the back entrance where the cost of services were not posted. If a technician does not know the costs she should have asked someone that did. This is a beautiful salon. I love it! My friend brought me here today, and I got a perfect mani-pedi. 1 hour, high quality, really nice technicians. Total, $45. And next week I'll be bringing my daughter back- they have kids services too! Adorable Hello Kitty chairs and a special alcove just for kids. Plus they have a loyalty program- 10 visits, get $10 off. I had a better experience here than I have had in other nail places in Frederick. Theresa did a great job on my mani-pedi and eyebrow wax. I had not been to the nail salon in a while, so she took the extra time to really get my cuticles looking good. Her gel polish job is nearly perfect. Theresa was very pleasant to talk with. My fiance and I stopped by for a birthday pedicure. It was his first pedicure and he had such a nice and relaxing time! The technicians there were friendly, welcoming and engaging. Everything was done with a big smile. We both got spa pedicures, differing from their classic pedi by a moisturizing mask and hot towel treatment. I think it's worth it to try the service but going back, I'd probably just go for the classic which sounds just as good! My fiance repeated "I have new feet!" He commented on how smooth and presentable his feet looked and said he would definitely return for another maintenance pedicure. Best nail salon I've been too. I always get acrylic nails and they do an excellent job. The nails last a long time. High quality and does not chip. The Salon is very clean and organized and the staff is helpful and friendly. I usually go early in the day and never have any problem getting service. Two adults and two children walked in on a Thursday without an appointment. They were very friendly and got us all in in a timely manner. The girls got pedicures. They have very cute hello kitty chairs. One of the nail stylist even took a picture for me since I wasn't close enough to get one. She kept my 6 year old entertained by patiently talking to her. My 9 year old got to sit in a grown up chair, which are very pretty. She was very happy with their massage abilities. The ladies were very nice. My mom got a full acrylic set and a pedicure. I was taken on time and treated like a human, versus a dollar sign walking into the nail salon. I was given the best manicure ever (I had tips put on) and the best hand massage. First time at this salon. I walked in, no appointment. Space was nice, clean. Receptionist offered me water. I was seated with a tech within minutes. I didn't get her name but she works there part+time since she's a full time student. I feel bad writing this review because she was very nice but I left very unsatisfied. Had dip manicure. After the dipping and first round of shaping she started the second round with the small gold drill. She only did two fingers with that drill. I didn't tell her to stop but I guess she stopped because she cut me on the second finger. Never fun to see blood during a manicure. I didn't want to make a fuss. I pretended I didn't even notice, as she did. But eventually she took out some special liquid to apply on the cut since it was still bleeding. But that wasn't the deal breaker for me. In my 20 years of getting nails done, I've been cut before. But this time I got cut AND received unsatisfactory work. I've had many dip manicures done in the past and they all have involved time under one of those uv lamps. This was the first time without that. My nails dried with a fan and air drying. I thought to myself, maybe the lamp isn't necessary and this technique works just as well, after all, I'm not a pro and trusted that she knew more than I did. But my nails don't look good. There isn't an even gloss on them. They have spots on them that look rough. Paid $45 plus I still tipped her but I have to vent and it let it be known. I guess it really depends who you get but first impressions....well, they're first impressions. read more

They're hit or miss. I wouldn't recommend going and making an appointment with just anyone. You have to request an appointment with someone you know will do a good job. I just spent 90 dollars on a manicure and pedicure (including tip -- still tipped 20%) for the lady to speed through everything. When she was doing my pedicure she touched each toenail with the cuticle scissors a second at a time. So, in total it took about 5 second for her to do my cuticles. After she did the first foot, I made a comment about it. She did the next foot correctly and took the first foot out of the water and redid them. I don't think you should have to ask someone to do that for a 37 dollar pedicure. She sped through everything else also. Nail polish included. Then she did my nails, which were better but they're was still gel nail polish on my skin on at least 3 of 5 fingers on each hand. I work extremely hard for my money. It feels deflating when you try and treat yourself to something nice, spend a lot of money and you end up being able to do it better at home yourself. If you're going to do anything in customer service for a living, the very least you can do is pretend that you care about the people you're servicing instead of getting me in and out as fast as humanly possible. I don't want to get anyone in trouble. I just want them to learn from this so that Rose Nails can succeed moving forward. read more

After reading many great reviews on here, I decided to try out Rose Nails. It took me a minute to find as it is slightly tucked away on a residential street (Note- there is another unrelated nail place located on the entrance/corner of the same street. Keep driving and you'll quickly approach Rose Nails, which looks more like someone's house than it does a salon- on the outside anyway!). First let me say that I did call to make an appointment (always a good idea) the day prior. The lady who answered the phone offered me several different time slots to come in. Teresa did my nails and was very sweet and friendly. I had a full new set of 'gel' acrylics done- Teresa did these extremely quickly (probably the fastest application of acrylic 'gel' nails I've ever had done) but also with great attention to detail. The price was pretty average for the type/style in this area. Also, the whole building is extremely neat and clean. I heard regular customers arriving and they were all greeted by name, which was nice. My only issue is that, fairly shortly after having these nails done, I noticed that one or two had begun to "lift" near the top.. as the next ~two weeks passed, the majority of my other nails did the same. I'm not sure why this happened but, if/when I get my nails done here again, I'll update accordingly. read more

I have been searching for a good nail place I went to one other place and was not satisfied so I decided to try Rose nail spa the place was very clean and modern the staff are very professional and polite and engaging they did a wonderful job on my gel manicure and non gel pedicure If I had anything I didn't like it would be the price point I think $85 for a pedicure and a manicure is expensive. I like to get those services every two weeks but I can't pay $85 twice a month and to add a tip on top of that I can't afford that. I would add that the place did a great job and it was a great relaxing environment if you can afford to pay on the higher end for those services definitely check out Rose nails spa but if you're looking for the average priced pedicure manicure around $60 $65 you will not find it at Rose nail spa!! read more

Since this salon moved next door to my favorite hair salon my family and I have received manis and pedis here many times because they're a little cheaper. The salon is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The kiddie area is cute. We have usually walked out with nice nails, mistakes happen from time to time, and the staff is typically friendly enough to warrant return visits. Sadly this changed with a recent visit. When staff speak to one another about a client and make a customer/customers feel uncomfortable by using a condescending tone with a client the damage is done- perceptions change. There is so much competition for this type of business that you would think this would not happen, but when it does it is time to move on. I guess this is what I get for trying to save a little money by going next door- you do get what you pay for. read more
