We did a walk-in at Rose Massage & Spa at 9:30pm; we were only able to get 30-minute massages ($40 each) due to them having other appointments later in the night. This massage place is nice. They do a good job. The only thing that gets to me is how they make you feel forced to tip after the service. They make it so awkward like you can't leave without tipping. Then they have a sign that says "tips are appreciated". Give people the option. read more

Due to heavy lifting in the gym, the night prior to coming here my aching legs and lower back kept me up all night. I often need corrections and I'm still in search of a local parlor that gives an efficient massage. I received the 90 minute massage plus body scrub/table shower. The woman who massaged me was named Ivy. She was very friendly and talkative throughout the massage which was different but nice. I will say that she found the tension in my posterior legs and took a large portion of the time working out the tightness. Today my hamstrings and glutes feel much better. If the rest of my body received the same effort than this rating would be five stars. Ivy is a talented masseuse, but I'm a five star client and tipper so I won't be back. I was informed that no "extra services" are given just massage. This was kinda awkward because I didn't ask nor want. I'm in a committed relationship. Even if I was single, would never seek out to pay or ever pay for what is willingly given to me. It is much more difficult to date a woman and have her often give you a deep tissue massage for 90 minutes. My guess is many people come to places like this expecting something other than a massage. Easy money to some, but insulting to others. I'm not against it, just not for me. I didn't like that the time was not spilt evenly between the posterior and anterior body. Most of the time on I was on my stomach and once I turned onto my back only several minutes were spent focusing on neck, shoulders, and head. This is no good for me because a majority of my tension is in my quadriceps and pectoral muscles. Im a bodybuilder so my entire body needs focus. It seems all the massage places in Los Angeles keep you mainly on your stomach the entire time and some even avoid the glutes all together. I don't know if this is an issue of comfortability, but to be efficient in this business one can't be shy. The table shower/body scrub was relaxing and nice as always. I've heard stories of the Korean body scrubs given around the area that just scrub your skin with intensity and have been searching for that experience. It seems all I've found this far is a light application and a gentle washing which is quite nice after a relaxing massage. It's a toss between being treated like a king and feeling like a big baby being washed Not a bad addition for only $20. As far as the bad posts about the smell of cleanness of the parlor, I found the place clean with no smell. I tipped, but was not pressured anyway to do so. My suggestions of improvement to management would be to change the music something more relaxing such as the Chinese Erhu with water running in background. The lights in the room could be more dim as well- at least a 50% reduction. Take it or leave it, but this is coming from someone who spends a lot of money on massages every month. This would improve the experience significantly. read more

I took my parents to get a massage on June 12th, 2024. We arrived at 10:00pm. I was told about the combo massage (which would work best for my mom). I paid the $60 for 60 minutes and paid $40 for my dad - not including tip. This review is based off of my mom's massage: My mom was not satisfied with the service. Her masseuse just massaged her back, chest, and right leg (putting more work on her back). My mom does not speak English and proceeded to tell the masseuse that her rest of her body was not massaged. The lady didn't want my mom to speak to me since I was waiting outside in the seating area. I confronted the masseuse afterwards but she said she couldn't massage my mom's whole body within that hour. The day before, I went to get a massage at a different location and they were able to massage my body without any excuses. The masseuse was very unprofessional. The receptionist called me back and wanted to honor a free 30 minute massage. Then she called and messaged me this past Saturday that my mom went in to get a massage. which was false. I replied to her massage and called her & no response from this business. read more

I would have a real bad problems. I went to Roz for a two hour massage for 100 bucks. That includes a shower and body scrub. My lower back has been knotted up and just hurts. Rose spent extra time on my back. The rooms are very private with doors. They provide robes and shower shoes when moving from station to station. The place was clean and very nice. Parking may be some what a challenge, but Rose is worth the trouble. read more

Took my dad here one morning for us to get some massages. I liked the cleanliness of the place and every customer has a private room. The woman that massaged me was really sweet, but the massage was a little painful for my liking in the beginning. She noticed my tension and asked if I was ok and that she could put less pressure which I said yes to. Even though she didn't put much pressure I did not like the style of the massage. I guess I like when massages are slow and targeted. This one felt like whatever. I will say that when it came time to massage my legs, she got way too close to my goodies and that made me so uncomfortable. The entire experience felt like I got a massage without the masseuse really paying attention to me. My dad said everything went well for him but he's a man of few words. read more

One of the worst massage I ever had in my life. First, the "therapist" ended the massage 5 mins without even wipe done the lotion on my back. During the massage, she kept walking in and out of the room and she would be outside for over 3~5 mins. She kept scratching my back with her finger nails and over-stretching my skin which is extremely painful. Also, her fingers smell like cigarettes and her breath smells and cigarettes. This place is OK. I really wanted to leave 5 stars, but have to be honest for my first impression. Initially my massage was going great and my masseuse was skilled but she had to leave in the last 10 minutes to help someone else I assume. When she came back she did not finish the massage but just wiped a cold towel on my body and said that we could not do the scrub today because there wasn't enough time. On the plus side the masseuse was wonderful and very sweet. Most of the massage was enjoyable, but the end was a bit rushed and kind of took away from the experience. Valet is $2.50. TLDR I paid for the 90 minute massage with a free body scrub and got an 80 minute one with a cold rag scrub. read more

This is hands down my favorite massage place in all of LA! I will come get a massage from Lisa, Ivy, or Helen at least once a week. They are more than masseuses to me - they are healers because they really know what they are doing. Plus they are so strong and the pressure is surprisingly very hard which is what I need. As a dancer and fitness trainer living in DTLA this is the perfect 10 minute solution for me. The staff is always friendly and they accommodate every customer that walks in. Never left 1star review for any place I've been to except for this one. Shady pricing. Booked for 1hr.for 2pax and I was told it was $50 for an hr.of massage. When we arrived there they made us wait and said that they are only able to do 30mins because they were about to close yet they kept accepting people as they come in .We left around 10:40 and they were still open and there were still people waiting for their turn.
