During Covid time I found this place. It's located in Korea town right on Vermont /olympic area. This place is kinda secretive but honestly I've been coming here for the past 5 years. I found Lina and love getting massages from her. She is amazing! She makes you feel comfortable and knows how to make you feel good getting into the knots in your body. Prices are good for the time you get and quality of the massage. Definitely get the feet and body convo. Can't forget hit stones and cupping!

I'm not going to lie... I was skeptical at first. I didn't know whether it was a foot massage place or an acupressure place. But it seems as though they do both. I've driven by this establishment many times and never knew it even existed. It's located in Koreatown off of Olympic Blvd. and a block west of Vermont (aka not the best neighborhood). After weeks of complaining of stiff neck and shoulders, a fellow yelper recommended this establishment. I checked her review on Yelp and finally made an appointment. I made my way to a small strip mall and walked upstairs. The decor is not anything impressive but I can care less for the decor. I was there for a massage! Upon arrival, they checked my vaccination card and had me sanitize my hands. They then led me into a cubicle with a massage bed blocked off by a curtain. They told me to undress, wear the provided shirt and shorts, and put my belonging into a basket. They then placed the basket under the massage bed. As everyone mentioned in their review, Eva definitely has strong hands and fingers. I specifically requested her as she was recommended by other reviewers. All I have to say is that the massage did not disappoint and I left feeling fantastic!

I love massages; that's a part of my self-care. And I've gotten quite a few at places like The Four Seasons Hotel, The Montage, Burke Williams and at multiple chiropractors, and I can tell you with certainty, is at Soya where I received the best of them all! I went in hoping to relax a bit. Never did I imagine that I was going to find my massage haven! As soon as I walked in, Henri asked me where I wanted to focus on, and based on what I shared, he suggested the Therapy Massage with Hot Stones. The next day of the massage, I woke up with no shoulder pain, which it was the reason for my visit. Henri is phenomenal; no other way to describe him and his trade. I am absolutely returning. So, SO happy I found this place

This place has massage in a long room divided into cubicles that are dimly lit but not atmospheric at all. No music to soothe your brain or help you meditate. You are given a generic grey cotton shorts/t-shirt combo to wear (and must remove your street clothes but few helpful hooks to hang your stuff up). Then the masseuses rub you down vigorously to break up the tissue in your muscles. This is called a DRY massage. It certainly breaks up any stiffness. The main issue is that this place is really no frills and you can feel like it's a line-up in a massage factory. Don't be too put off, they do a fantastic deep tissue massage at bargain prices. I normally don't have male massagers, but was comfortable with the head honcho guy and a second male (yes, I went twice!), yet I had a frustrating experience with a third fella...the issue is that the English comprehension is so poor I got frustrated that they were going too rough on an area in which I was especially sensitive and wanted them to ease off. I also listened to my gut that I wasn't feeling a professional vibe with this man (though that might have been my own hypersensitivity aggravated by a lack of spoken communication.) The language barrier is one you will have to decide how you want to navigate-- at times it doesn't matter but at other times it sure does matter that your male masseuse understands the nuances of the particular body issue you are trying to convey. There are literally hundreds of massage parlors advertising on billboards throughout Koreatown so I wouldn't know how to pick one for a decent full body dry massage other than with the use of Yelp. Soya can be a good choice and give them a go, there are also female massage therapists here. You can call ahead for appointments.

My experience last night was very questionable with significant improvements needed. I just want to start off by saying that staff is very friendly. They are Mandarin speakers so I was able to converse without issue. Luxe Luminary also uses high-end products like Dyson and Moroccan Oil from what I saw. I booked the 45-min scalp relief therapy via Vagaro and it sucks to say that I've never wanted 45-min to end faster. I've had scalp treatments and hair washes in Asia and LA so I know what to expect, and this was NOT it. There was no scalp analysis to see what I'm starting or ending with, or how to improve my scalp health. I put on a robe and sat in the fancy massage chair that didn't seem suitable as a hair wash station. It rotates and leans back into the wash bowl. My shoulders and neck hurt because it's not very comfortable after 10 mins. The service was extremely mediocre as the lady seemed very inexperienced in what she was doing. It was just mostly brushing, shampooing, and random massages around the head. Shampoo bottle fell into the wash bowl splashing water everywhere and comb was dropping on the floor. The temperature of the water was so hot that it was burning my scalp and I requested to lower the temperature. For whatever reason, it was always too hot or too cold, never a comfortable temperature. After the wash was done, the chair lifted me back up without my hair wrapped up, so all the water was dripping down the back of my neck. The chair also had a life of its own and was just rotating and leaning backwards with me on it. Lastly, I was not expecting a full-on blow dry at this point, but damn, my hair was not dried at all. Stepping off the chair, there was water all over the floor. I felt like a total mess and just wanted to go home at this point. See picture of what my hair looked like after leaving the place. It's so frizzy and unkempt..... This morning, my scalp still felt really sensitive from the burning water. I'm sad, but glad I also got free snacks, drinks, 10% off, and a complimentary sound speaker from Luxe Luminary lol.

ALL THE ONE STAR REVIEWS ARE VERY ACCURATE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY HERE!…read more The one thing that all the one star reviews have in common is that the therapist do not show up at the time or at all. This happened to me where I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes trying to get a hold of front desk (which they don't have). The staff at the hotel let me know that this happens often and there wasn't anything they could do. I gave up waiting and went back home. 3 hours past my originally appointment, they texted to reschedule. I rescheduled deep tissue massage the same day and confirmed with them the time. I go there for the second time and to your guess no one is there AGAIN. James was my massage therapist and I started to raise concerns of James qualification as a licensed massage therapist. I've had many massages and the way he undraped me was very inappropriate. It already made me feel uncomfortable. Not to mentioned, he left a bruise on my back the following day! My friends are massage therapist and they said the muscle he was working which is where the bruise is located- is a tender spot. You are NOT suppose apply a lot of pressure in that area. I also asked him to perform a different method because all of his moves were just the same repeated simple movements and he proceed to the same simple movements any average joe could have done. In another instance, he used all his body weight towards my body that was way too close to my bottom rib. I honestly think I was going to go home with broken ribs..I was really confused what kind of massage I was getting.. This isn't the WWE?! I didn't find the massage to have any technicality to it just the same o' movements. I was in touch with Eva, who seems to be the owner of Faris, and told her my experience at her spa. I mean the lack. of. customer. service. wow. She tried to argue that the bruise is not from the massage. Nothing was resolved in our conversation. I would NEVER recommend a spa like Frais.. not even to my enemies.. Save your time and money, folks. There are a lot more spas in DTLA and Ktown worth your while.

I was a walk in and didn't have time to wait. I instead got Saline, who was AMAZING. She truly listened to everything I told her, made her presence known throughout the massage but not too much, so I was able to fully relax. I cannot say enough good things about this massage. The space itself was cramped and no frills and some of the pressure is on fellow GUESTS to keep their voices down (please keep this in mind!) but it has everything. The space felt clean and cozy. I went for a 1.5 hour massage which felt like a splurge because it was longer than I normally do, but their prices were so reasonable and I had just come off a very long work week that it felt needed. The massage was so incredibly relaxing and left me in a little bit of pain in a good way. I knew Saline had found a lot of my deep knots, so there was no way for it to be without pain, but every fit of it was so worth it. It was so relaxing and I left feeling 100x better than when I came in. It was a little hard to find because it's on a small strip mall, but now that I know where it is I won't miss it.
