Sorry. No pictures. To be honest, we were starving. And it is freezing cold here in Albuquerque. I ordered online and the prices are really good. Especially for the area. We drove by it yesterday and my husband was intrigued because it looked busy. So today was the day. Let's break it down. 2 kids meals. Man their kids meal selection is amazing. Drink and Spring Roll included. We got Wings and white rice. And Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice and veggies. They were both enjoyed. Kids are hard to please. And this meal was a winner. I've heard about these things happening, but it happened to me. I have been going to this rose garden for a decade, always great. I opened my take out order today and there was public hair right on top on my food! One of the chefs intentionally put it there. I drove it back, showed them, the manager was not there and they just gave me a refund. Public hair placed on my food and im blown away. Stay away from this place until they get new cooks and staff. I think this is one of the most flavorful Chinese food I've ever had. I had beef and broccoli and my friend had a shrimp dish. It comes with your choice of soup, egg rolls and the egg drop soup was honestly one of the best I've had. They serve it in the restaurant in "to go" containers, which is OK, because you need to take the rest home. I'll be going back and would recommend it. Only a few people seated late lunch, but plenty of people there for take-out. read more

This is only the second time I've been to this restaurant but each time they are very friendly we ordered ahead and by the time we got there, the food was actually ready when they said it would be so that's always a big plus. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. The young woman at the register was wearing AirPods, did not greet me, and refused to speak when I asked a simple question. I asked if I could switch the white rice for fried rice, but instead of responding, she just stared at me, pressed a few buttons on the tablet, and charged me $13. She also handed me a receipt with a tip line, which felt inappropriate given the lack of service. When my order came out, I did not receive the fried rice I requested. Pretty good find and I will definitely try to check out Rose Garden again! It was a pretty busy weekend day for me! I had been out of my home since 7:30am and had appointments back to back that I didn't have anything to eat/drink until 4:30pm other than a Starbucks mocha Frappuccino and cheese danish that I ate a little before 8am. I had another appointment at 5:30pm and was early in the area..so I basically just chanced my luck and pick Rose Garden to eat because it was one of the two restaurants in the big lot that I happened to pull into. I was pleasantly surprised by a large menu of Chinese food (granted, I rarely ate American Chinese food these days....ok..minus some Panda Expres habit that I hadseveral years ago). I didn't know what to pick and ended up picking Dragon/Phoenix (I had no idea what it was..but it looked like some combo of 2 meats...so I just randomly picked it out). I was pleasantly surprised that it seemed they had cooked my meal for me fresh to order (I waited around 10 min...and it was all good for me!). I also liked that they had quite a large place for you to sit (everyone ordered at the same window whether you want to pickup or eat in). All their eat-ins are self-serviced....so no one is there to bother you. Plus, they trust you enough to equip you with utensils, sauces, napkins for you to grab on your own..which was nice. What's more was...I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh, hot and tasty the meal was. Turned out Dragon Phoenix is a combo of lightly spicy orange chicken and Shrimp with veggie white sauce...yumm!! I knew I was hungry...but I ended up eating half of the meal in one go! (and their order is quite huge!). It wasn't so much because it was because I was hungry..but also because the food tasted good that I couldn't really stop myself from eating! Cashew chicken: cashew nuts have a lovely roasted flavor, slightly soft on the outside but still crunchy. Delectably sauced. Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings: crispy and never greasy More items we order often: Sweet n Sour chicken: Fried in a light batter and never greasy. One reason for 5 stars, it's the egg foo young. Chaotic passage to savory delights, this inefficiently designed cubby hole of a restaurant has some tasty dishes. We've yet to explore their more exotic menu items. But traditional American Chinese food is amazingly good. General Tso, egg foo young, phoenix and dragon, salt and pepper anything, sweet and sour anything, Orange or lemon chicken are all so good. Just be prepared to deal with the chaos at the front desk. It's very disorderly and they a very young girl taking orders in between studying for school. The boba drinks are all good, especially Thai tea. I asked for extra spicy and nearly burned my face off. It was great. There was a review criticizing the dine-in experience, saying that you had to go back to the desk to get food. But it was completely untrue. Rose garden is a great chinese takeout restaurant. My friend took me to the restaurant for a takeout. Once I had tasted the food, I knew that I have found a hidden gem of quick and affordable Chinese place. The menu is pretty extensive. They offer lunch menu, regular menu and combo menu. The ordering process was very easy through the phone. I never have any mixed up order and they do take the cleanliness seriously. The food portion is large. I usually have leftovers for another meal. The ingredients were fresh. I knew that they have great stoves to cook foods from the smokiness of the fried rice or noodles. We got: I got string beans w/ garlic and comes with fried rice and small bowl of hot & sour soup for $6.50 lunch special - good amount of food, pretty tasty. B. got beef w/ broccoli comes w/ bowl of white rice but he didn't eat much of it. He liked the broccoli & beef. Regular menu $9.75 Hot tea $1.69 for a pot and 1 tea cup. Ok, there are good Chinese take out places, and there are ok Chinese take out places. I have rarely been blown away by an Chinese takeout anywhere! It's standard, and kinda like McDonald's in that you get the staples with some tweaks here and there. Rose garden is not going to wow you, but they serve up good, standard Chinese takeout at a reasonable price. The egg drop soup had an interesting flavor... it tasted like an old tortilla chip. Go figure! The dumplings were good and standard fare. The kung pao chicken was breaded, which made it a bit soggy in consistency, but it was good. The sweet and sour pork and broccoli and beef were good. The white, pork fried, and chicken fried rices were all good! All in all, like I said, not blowing any minds here but it was good. I wouldn't order the egg drop soup again, but for being the only Chinese takeout place with in a 15 minute drive radius, I'd eat it again. This is my hubby's favorite Chinese restaurant. His favorite is the chicken chow mein. He gets the soup just for the little fried 'chips' on the side. I have yet to have anything that wows me and hop around the menu. I've had cashew chicken, which had nice flavor but was chewy. The beef n broccoli was decent. First visit here. It's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall yet easy to find. Upon arrival, I thought it was a carry out restaurant. They actually have seating which is somewhat limited but very quiet, almost dark lighting. Their menu is quite extensive and all items are reasonably priced. We stopped by for dinner. I ordered the Mongolian beef with white rice and my wife ordered the Orange chicken. Service was quick and easy and packaged nicely. They allow you to get your own condiments from a pair of plastic drawers such as fortune cookies, plasticware, napkins, soy sauce ,and other items. When we opened our Trays at home, we were pleased to see how much food was included in each tray. At first I thought it wasn't going to be enough but it turned out to be more than enough. As for the taste and flavor I think mine could've used a little bit more salt and certainly spice I ended up using my own favorite soy sauce and my wife used the takeout soy sauce. In the end, it was enough food where we didn't end up finishing each tray. My first time there ordering Orange Chicken combo. IT WAS MOST EXCELLENT! The oil used are fresh, the sauce a balanced mix of sweetness and spice. The chicken pieces perfectly crusty on the surface and tender inside. I'm definitely going to be getting my meals there often. Thank you! Also, the place is extremely Covid safe. The pens are separated by new and used so that no one can get infected by using a used pen. There is a big wall with glass windows separating the customers from the ordering section and kitchen.
