Before the review, here is a list of the food from here I absolutely LOVE. * Sweet & Sour Chicken * Lo Mein * Fried Rice * Egg Drop Soup * Dumplings * Orange Chicken * & there's probably more but I'll stop there. The service is amazing, for all the orders they get.. they are speedy and the food is always hot and delicious even after a 20 minute drive. I have dined in a few times and the ambience is quiet and very chill. I definitely would dine in more often. I have been coming here for years and I absolutely adore this place. read more

No matter what time of day you order your food for take out, the food is warm with great flavor.

Sorry. No pictures. To be honest, we were starving. And it is freezing cold here in Albuquerque. I ordered online and the prices are really good. Especially for the area. We drove by it yesterday and my husband was intrigued because it looked busy. So today was the day. Let's break it down. 2 kids meals. Man their kids meal selection is amazing. Drink and Spring Roll included. We got Wings and white rice. And Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice and veggies. They were both enjoyed. Kids are hard to please. And this meal was a winner. My husband and I shared chicken wings with sweet chili sauce on the side. As well as Hot and Sour Soup. My husband drank the soup. He loved it. Overall great pick and we will probably try it again when visiting the area. read more

We order the same meal most of the time. He likes the Mai Fun and I like the Mu Shu. Pass on the crab Rangoon. It's Americanized Chinese and we get delivery but appreciate the consistency. We've added Lo Mein to the order. It's exactly what's expected. read more

Still love Rose Garden Paradise location. Prices went up but food is still very good. read more

The chicken lo mein tonight was excellent. Very fresh! The chicken was perfect. Vegies sliced beautifully - zucchini, cabbage, carrot, celery, onion, water chestnut, onion - was there more? The person who prepared and sliced these did it with great care. Plus, the knife was very sharp, nothing partially or sloppily cut. Nothing old or brown. Seasoned properly. The price was highly reasonable for this quality dish.- Thank you, staff at the Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant! read more

The owners are very sweet and the service is great. The problem is the quality of the food and continued to decline. It is hard to under since there are now more places to choose. The food tastes like it is fried in old grease and tastes burnt at time. This is disappointing since we used to eat there frequently. Rose Garden...please improve your food we would eat there more if the quality improves. We end up going elsewhere or choosing one of the other nearby options. read more

Absolutely the best Chinese food in all the ABQ!! Very fresh and would definitely recommend for anyone in the area to give it try. My family is from Los Angeles so the bar is always set pretty high for us when it comes to any Asian cuisine and this definitely set the bar as one of our favorite places to eat. Definitely 5 Stars!!! read more

I've heard about these things happening, but it happened to me. I have been going to this rose garden for a decade, always great. I opened my take out order today and there was public hair right on top on my food! One of the chefs intentionally put it there. I drove it back, showed them, the manager was not there and they just gave me a refund. Public hair placed on my food and im blown away. Stay away from this place until they get new cooks and staff. Unreal! read more

This place usually hits the spot but today I ordered Broccoli beef and it smelled and tasted bad. I took two bites and I couldn't eat the rest. So disappointing. I threw it all away, just gross. read more

I think this is one of the most flavorful Chinese food I've ever had. I had beef and broccoli and my friend had a shrimp dish. It comes with your choice of soup, egg rolls and the egg drop soup was honestly one of the best I've had. They serve it in the restaurant in "to go" containers, which is OK, because you need to take the rest home. I'll be going back and would recommend it. Only a few people seated late lunch, but plenty of people there for take-out. read more

Disgusting and unprofessional. The staff are short tempered and disrespectful; rude and contemptible. I well never step foot in either of their locations again. read more

Always good food. I can't tell you about the ambience because I haven't sat in the restaurant since before the pandemic. It did not seem inviting. The service tends to be good as well. The portions are extremely good! Delivery is generally very timely as well. read more

This is only the second time I've been to this restaurant but each time they are very friendly we ordered ahead and by the time we got there, the food was actually ready when they said it would be so that's always a big plus. The food was very good and the five of us two adults and three children all really enjoyed it and definitely will come back here and if you get a chance, try them up. read more

Rose Garden - Fast Food Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Pretty good find and I will definitely try to check out Rose Garden again! It was a pretty busy weekend day for me! I had been out of my home since 7:30am and had appointments back to back that I didn't have anything to eat/drink until 4:30pm other than a Starbucks mocha Frappuccino and cheese danish that I ate a little before 8am. I had another appointment at 5:30pm and was early in the area..so I basically just chanced my luck and pick Rose Garden to eat because it was one of the two restaurants in the big lot that I happened to pull into. I was pleasantly surprised by a large menu of Chinese food (granted, I rarely ate American Chinese food these days....ok..minus some Panda Expres habit that I hadseveral years ago). I didn't know what to pick and ended up picking Dragon/Phoenix (I had no idea what it was..but it looked like some combo of 2 meats...so I just randomly picked it out). I was pleasantly surprised that it seemed they had cooked my meal for me fresh to order (I waited around 10 min...and it was all good for me!). I also liked that they had quite a large place for you to sit (everyone ordered at the same window whether you want to pickup or eat in). All their eat-ins are self-serviced....so no one is there to bother you. Plus, they trust you enough to equip you with utensils, sauces, napkins for you to grab on your own..which was nice. What's more was...I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh, hot and tasty the meal was. Turned out Dragon Phoenix is a combo of lightly spicy orange chicken and Shrimp with veggie white sauce...yumm!! I knew I was hungry...but I ended up eating half of the meal in one go! (and their order is quite huge!). It wasn't so much because it was because I was hungry..but also because the food tasted good that I couldn't really stop myself from eating! Overall, very happy I tried this place..and I would think of stopping by this place again if I'm looking for something to eat around this area! read more

This was my first visit, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. The young woman at the register was wearing AirPods, did not greet me, and refused to speak when I asked a simple question. I asked if I could switch the white rice for fried rice, but instead of responding, she just stared at me, pressed a few buttons on the tablet, and charged me $13. She also handed me a receipt with a tip line, which felt inappropriate given the lack of service. When my order came out, I did not receive the fried rice I requested. Overall, the service was unprofessional, unfriendly, and uncommunicative. I left extremely disappointed and will not be returning. read more

Just had dinner and it was delicious! The service was excellent and Ming made sure we received what we wanted and took great care of us. The restaurant was clean, as we dined in. Despite how busy they were with the dinner rush we received our meal in a timely manner and it was fresh. We will be back! Highly recommended. read more

To be honest, was turned off by the fact it was takeout only. But when I got my order you can sit inside and eat. Ordering was easy online. Ordered egg rolls, I only got one egg roll. I think I paid for two, but the egg rolls are okay. Egg drop soup is the bomb. I think the taste is perfect taste. Comes with crunchy noodles. Also the pork fried rice was great! Think I found my fried rice place. Wow. They add the red pork and it was so good read more

We ordered boneless chicken wings, and for the second time we received bone. When we called, we were asked if we had eaten them. Yes, we did, and they were good, but not what we ordered. This is the second time this has happened. Make sure you get what you order. read more

Food was ok but if you want to eat in the restaurant you'll need to be prepared to eat on styrofoam plates and drink Hot Tea out of Styrofoam cups which is really not good for you. Probably won't be back unless it's to go but honestly there is much better food around ‍ read more

Best chicken lo mein in town!!! Very reasonable prices and if you're on the fence, you can't go wrong with a lunch special. Two locations to choose from and your food is always ready in twenty minutes or less. I'm a Chinese food snob and this actually passes my test!!! Little to the dining room... it's not much to write home about in terms of ambiance... I've always just done takeout and it's primarily take out but the service is A1! Best flavors, freshest everything... short staffed (but that's typical!!?) with young kids working but that's not a bad thing... the food is fabulous!!! read more

This is the 3rd chinese restaurant weve tried since we moved to this part of the city. One was not good, and one of them was good. Rose Garden is good. We've ordered three times from Rose Garden. Last night i got the pork lomein, shrimp roll, my daughter got the dumplings, and lomein. Husband got pepper steak. Everything was so good! And things didnt seem like they sat around and got cold. Everything tasted fresh. Nothing was overcooked. The crispy things actually stayed crisp. read more

The fried wonton was nasty. The meat was hard in the wonton. The wonton soup was not good. The wonton wrap was thick and it was a weird color. worst chinese foods i've ever had. Fried rice has big slices of onion. ong. no! eat the chinese frozen stuff at Trader joe's. It's better. read more

Really enjoyed everything! Two kinds of lo mein - fork and chicken/vegetables, sweet and sour chicken, chicken and vegetables, fried and steamed dumplings, pork fried rice, and egg drop soup! Great taste in everything! Zero complaints! Highly recommend! read more

This is my second visit to the Rose Garden. Odd to call it a visit, as I'm not going in. I've got a cold, which in today's social climate means I would very likely cause a lot of alarm. I don't want to do that, so I sit in the car while wife or lunch. My previous experience here w very positive. They treat you well. The staff are attentive. The food is excellent as well. Very good example of wonderful Chinese food. I don't think you can go wrong here, so I recommend it. read more

Rose Garden - The front door to Rose Garden - Fast Food Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

We've been eating at Rose Garden since they opened (maybe a decade ago) and the food is always consistently delicious. Green Beans w Garlic Sauce: perfectly cooked so they're crisp tender, never soggy. Garlic sauce is slightly sweet, not a heavy garlic flavor. Cashew chicken: cashew nuts have a lovely roasted flavor, slightly soft on the outside but still crunchy. Delectably sauced. Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings: crispy and never greasy More items we order often: Sweet n Sour chicken: Fried in a light batter and never greasy. Cherry sauce is packed separately so nothing gets soggy. Singapore Mei fun Noodles: Spicy but not unbearably hot. Shrimp and pork included. read more

Rose Garden - Wanshang hao/Greetings..:) - Fast Food Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Rose garden is a great chinese takeout restaurant. My friend took me to the restaurant for a takeout. Once I had tasted the food, I knew that I have found a hidden gem of quick and affordable Chinese place. The menu is pretty extensive. They offer lunch menu, regular menu and combo menu. The ordering process was very easy through the phone. I never have any mixed up order and they do take the cleanliness seriously. The food portion is large. I usually have leftovers for another meal. The ingredients were fresh. I knew that they have great stoves to cook foods from the smokiness of the fried rice or noodles. It can only be achieved through extremely hot pan to get such taste without burning the rice grain or noodles strands. Highly recommended! read more

Rose Garden - the outside of a restaurant at night - Fast Food Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

First visit here. It's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall yet easy to find. Upon arrival, I thought it was a carry out restaurant. They actually have seating which is somewhat limited but very quiet, almost dark lighting. Their menu is quite extensive and all items are reasonably priced. We stopped by for dinner. I ordered the Mongolian beef with white rice and my wife ordered the Orange chicken. Service was quick and easy and packaged nicely. They allow you to get your own condiments from a pair of plastic drawers such as fortune cookies, plasticware, napkins, soy sauce ,and other items. When we opened our Trays at home, we were pleased to see how much food was included in each tray. At first I thought it wasn't going to be enough but it turned out to be more than enough. As for the taste and flavor I think mine could've used a little bit more salt and certainly spice I ended up using my own favorite soy sauce and my wife used the takeout soy sauce. In the end, it was enough food where we didn't end up finishing each tray. I really liked this Thai restaurant I will go back again and actually order the eggrolls and a few of the other items they have on the menu. Very reasonably priced. read more

Rose Garden - Front Counter - Fast Food Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

We had lunch at Rose Garden because hubby wanted Chinese food and found it on Yelp. They have a take-out counter when you first walk in, but if you want to dine in it's more restaurant style. We got: I got string beans w/ garlic and comes with fried rice and small bowl of hot & sour soup for $6.50 lunch special - good amount of food, pretty tasty. B. got beef w/ broccoli comes w/ bowl of white rice but he didn't eat much of it. He liked the broccoli & beef. Regular menu $9.75 Hot tea $1.69 for a pot and 1 tea cup. If I wanted a cup would have charged me, so I just shared the tea cup. I got water - no charge. 2 free fortune cookies individually wrapped. Bill: $17.94 and $1.41 (tax is 7.875%) = $19.35. Cheap in ABQ. read more

Ross Garden is our local Chinese restaurant and it is one of my favorites in the city. Everything I have there is delicious. I highly recommend this spot. read more

One reason for 5 stars, it's the egg foo young. Chaotic passage to savory delights, this inefficiently designed cubby hole of a restaurant has some tasty dishes. We've yet to explore their more exotic menu items. But traditional American Chinese food is amazingly good. General Tso, egg foo young, phoenix and dragon, salt and pepper anything, sweet and sour anything, Orange or lemon chicken are all so good. Just be prepared to deal with the chaos at the front desk. It's very disorderly and they a very young girl taking orders in between studying for school. The boba drinks are all good, especially Thai tea. I asked for extra spicy and nearly burned my face off. It was great. There was a review criticizing the dine-in experience, saying that you had to go back to the desk to get food. But it was completely untrue. When you specify to dine-in, you will get your food served at the table. Just order at the desk, there are no servers. Plan accordingly. They are busy for a good reason. Enjoy. read more

This is my hubby's favorite Chinese restaurant. His favorite is the chicken chow mein. He gets the soup just for the little fried 'chips' on the side. I have yet to have anything that wows me and hop around the menu. I've had cashew chicken, which had nice flavor but was chewy. The beef n broccoli was decent. The spring rolls, egg rolls, and fried rice are very very good. Most days, the service is outstanding. He'd give it 5 stars, I'd give it 3--thus our 4 star rating. Definitely worth a try. read more

Ok, there are good Chinese take out places, and there are ok Chinese take out places. I have rarely been blown away by an Chinese takeout anywhere! It's standard, and kinda like McDonald's in that you get the staples with some tweaks here and there. Rose garden is not going to wow you, but they serve up good, standard Chinese takeout at a reasonable price. The egg drop soup had an interesting flavor... it tasted like an old tortilla chip. Go figure! The dumplings were good and standard fare. The kung pao chicken was breaded, which made it a bit soggy in consistency, but it was good. The sweet and sour pork and broccoli and beef were good. The white, pork fried, and chicken fried rices were all good! All in all, like I said, not blowing any minds here but it was good. I wouldn't order the egg drop soup again, but for being the only Chinese takeout place with in a 15 minute drive radius, I'd eat it again. I wouldn't flock, but give it a try if you're way out in Taylor Ranch and in the mood for Chinese takeout! read more

My first time there ordering Orange Chicken combo. IT WAS MOST EXCELLENT! The oil used are fresh, the sauce a balanced mix of sweetness and spice. The chicken pieces perfectly crusty on the surface and tender inside. I'm definitely going to be getting my meals there often. Thank you! Also, the place is extremely Covid safe. The pens are separated by new and used so that no one can get infected by using a used pen. There is a big wall with glass windows separating the customers from the ordering section and kitchen.
