    Egg roll

This place is definitely an example of the iron triangle where you pick two between fast, cheap and good. Dragon wok meetd undef the fast and cheap category. Prices are just right and you get more than what you would get at a fast food establishment. The lunch specials are especially great they all come with fried rice, egg roll and soup for under $10 which is hard to find these days. One gripe is that the fried rice really isn't real fried rice since it doesn't have egg nor does it come with a lot of veggies. The soup options are egg drop or wonton. I liked the egg drop more since the wonton soup had big wontons in it with hardly any meat. The soups gets thick as they cool off. The egg rolls like other reviewers have mentioned are a bit peppery. I don't mind it but if you are not a huge black pepper fan you might not like them. I add extra Sriracha or sauce to mine as I eat them and they are very filling. For the entrees I've had the Kung Po chicken and the Beef with vegetables plates. Both are good but not the best out there. Again there is something in the sauces that are a bit thicker in consistency but the veggies and meat are decent. The portions are more than enough for me. I usually only eat half and save the other half for another meal. I would definitely recommend this place over fast food since they are fast and locally owned with great prices. I hope to try more items from their menu and let folks in my area know about Dragon Wok on Academy.

Delicious! We've gotten takeout twice lately. The lunch specials are amazing. Inexpensive, huge portions and flavorful. The General Chicken had good crunch but still tender inside. There's enough sauce to cover all the meat. The Kung Poa chicken is probably my favorite. The chicken is good, the veggies are good and the dish is spicy. Egg rolls were well cooked. The hot and sour was a bit thicker than I like but had all the flavor. I've missed Dragon Wok. It looks like they are back. I'm happy!

The food is ok, ordered off of UberEats. The food came hot and the delivery was quick. I'm not sure of how the location looks, however I don't think I'd go again just based on the food I got. The price is reasonable and would be even better going into the restaurant.

Dragon Wok is in the Sycamore Plaza off Academy Road in between bárre3 and SuperCuts in the small business area across from PetsMart. There was no greeting at Dragon Wok when I walked in. A young child, who I would estimate was around 10-12 years old and hanging out in the lobby, eventually took my order and worked the register. There were three adults working in the back of the restaurant; I'm not sure why a child was working the front. The $9.99 lunch special came with the entree, a choice of soup, an egg roll, and a fortune cookie. My soup selection, the egg drop, was quite thick and served in a to-go container with wontons on the side. I didn't enjoy it, nor did I eat it after two or three spoonfuls. The egg roll had an odd taste, and I didn't enjoy that either. The orange chicken entree was served in a to go container. After dropping off the food without a word, I never saw another employee again. I believe the "fried rice" was actually just brown rice with a few veggies mixed in. Like the egg drop soup and egg roll, it was not enjoyable. The orange chicken didn't have an appealing taste, and the chicken was overcooked so it was somewhat dry and tough. My plastic fork couldn't spear some of the pieces because of the toughness, so I had to use my fork like a spoon. I ended up tossing most of the meal in the lobby trash. As I left, I was also ignored. Given the poor customer service, no greeting or ordering from an adult employee, unappetizing/poor tasting food, toughness of the meat, and to-go containers for dine in, I would never spend money at this establishment again. 1 star is generous.

Even though its a small parking lot in a strip plaza. Fresh hand pulled noodles are good, which were a little soft for my personal preference, but still good. It may sound strange but things with pork will taste porky. My girlfriend doesn't like pork, but can eat it, but she ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings and it was too porky for her. For me, it tasted just right because this is the flavors I grew up with. The dumpling dough had a nice texture that I prefer. My Ramen had a big fatty pieces of pork which is what I like. They didnt skimp. It was a good bowl of noodle soup. Wouldn't say its the best ramen I ever had, but it was good. Beef roll was good, I would say its one of the better ones I've seen in ABQ where its really filled with beef. Would recommend this. We also got soup dumplings and I will say that we didnt get the proper spoons for them. At first I thought they just didnt offer them, but looking at photos, we never got them. It makes a difference for your eating experience and enjoyment. We will definitely be back as this is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area and you really get some real Chinese variety and not your basic generic stereotypical menu.

There is a good variety & selection on the menu. We ordered our usual go tos: pork shumai, shrimp har gow, pan fried chives, chinese broccoli, beef rice noodle, baked egg tart, mushroom shumai, steamed chicken feet, curry rice noodle roll, sweet tofu. The food was great and made us feel like we had made it back to Houston Asia town again. Our 2 honorable mentions were the baked egg tart which was crispy and the sweet tofu which was a perfect balance of sweet and flavor. This is the only place we've found so far that has these 2 items on the menu. There were many other items that we wanted to try but could not this visit because we were stuffed - next time. My only negative was that the shrimp har gow was a little bit on the gummy side. I would give a 4.5 star rating because of this, but since that's not an option I'm happy to give them a 5 star review because it was barely an issue. Everything else was good! We're so happy to have a place that carries some hard to find asian food items that we miss. The service was friendly and attentive and there was a good vibe. The restaurant looks well-maintained and clean. Highly recommend this place.

We went for Saturday brunch and it was empty. I ordered for the table. The chicken feet really stood out to me and were delicious. I will say...they advertise it is homemade...but I'm not too sure. The soup dumplings definitely had a precooked frozen packaged texture / flavor - similar the ones you can get from the grocery store. BUT! Overall: we had a fantastic experience. For example, I was hoping their would have fried taro paste in birds nest (ok..I know..this one is really chinese), or even custard buns (this one..I was surprised they didn't have), or..even chicken feet (ok..I don't eat these anyways but hey..it's a testament to what dimsum place would look like).
