The food is some of the best Chinese cuisine in New Mexico. We of 3 had the lunch special menu. 2 Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and 1 General Tso's Chicken. You walk in & order at the front counter then find a table or booth. The soda fountain is self-service. $8.95 each Lunch specials come with choice of soup, egg roll, fried rice crispy thingys for the soup. It came out to $36. We drove 18 miles one way for this delicious Chinese food. Ten years ago I worked nearby and ate here almost daily. It is nice to see 2013 prices & how they maintained quality over the years. Bravo!

This restaurant is literally right by our house. It's always packed with lots of customers. During COVID, a long waiting line of to-go customers formed outside. They closed indoor dining completely and are waiting for the Governor's orders to loosen to reopen the dining room. In the fifteen years I've lived in Rio Rancho, I never visited this restaurant. Until Friday, April 30, 2021. We ordered a Sesame Chicken with brown rice and House Special Lo Mein (lo mein noodles with shrimp, pork, and beef). In addition, we had a coupon for six crab rangoon (wontons stuffed with imitation crab and cream cheese). HOT TIP: visit their website and print out your favorite coupons. When we opened the plastic containers at home, the food still remained hot. My lo mein noodles had good firmness and they weren't stingy with their meat. They filled the container with lots of food and I wasn't hungry after eating my dish. My wife didn't like the spongy feel of the sesame chicken and thought they used too much breading. The crab rangoon had a crispy outside and the fake crab and cream cheese inside tasted delicious. We paid $24.98 for our meal, a bit pricey, but with the coupon you get a lot of food for that price. Another HOT TIP: go there for the lunch special, Monday through Saturday, 10:30 AM till 3 PM. For $6.45, you get your choice of a main dish, egg roll, soup, and fried rice! I'm sure they give you generous portions too. I'm sure we'll try this restaurant again!

Oh my gooosh. No no no. We ordered take out, the food looked delicious but it's not as flavorful as it looks. I ordered the beef with broccoli and chicken with garlic. The chicken had a lot of big chunks of celery, there was a few other pieces of vegetables in there, some that I couldn't tell you what it was. They forgot to give us our soup. The egg rolls were just cabbage. The meat was rubbery. We won't order again.

    42. Chicken with Garlic Sauce Very tender meat, perfectly cooked veggies in a slightly spicy and very yummy sauce. Not swimming in oil!

This is probably the best Chinese food we've had in the Albuquerque area in two years.

The food was promised in 8 to 10 minutes and was ready easily in that time. I ordered Crab Rangoon, a favorite of my wife, and pork fried noodles. The Crab Rangoon is some of the best in Albuquerque. I could actually taste the crab. Most I've had here just taste of cream cheese, so whatever they do at YNH, they should continue! The pork fried noodles, on the other hand, were nothing special. The dish tasted of Chinese Five Spice which includes clove and is not a favorite flavor for me. My wife didn't mind so much, so this is certainly a personal issue. Add a star if you are ok with the seasoning. We will certainly be back for the Rangoon and to try other menu options.

The owner is a very nice lady who seems very friendly personable with her customers. As customers walked in she remembered their food preferences , other customers here also seemed like regulars and were suggesting things on the menu. The owner was patient, friendly and stood there the whole time helping me choose and navigate the menu since it was my first time here. That by itself is worth an extra Star . I orders the combination plate and she allowed me to make some substitutions. I got general Taos chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and low mein with vegetables. There was also a soup that came for free I think it's egg drop soup with some crunchies. The general tsoas chicken had a good flavor, I asked them to make everything spicy and it had a nice kick. It was really crunchy which I like but I can see alot of people thinking that it has too much batter and not enough meat. Also pretty much everything was pretty greasy when I don't mind but it's not the usual Americanized Chinese food people from other big cities outside of Albuquerque are probably used to: The low mein with vegetables was probably my favorite part. I added spicy to it too and it was great. I can see why people keep coming here; it's a mom pop business where a real traditional Chinese owner takes your order and cooks for you and the food feels authentic. There's not many options in town for Chineese food that are decent and not chains. I would come back for the low mein and support the nice lady who owns this place.

In any event I intermittent fast and I hadn't eaten so we stopped here on the way back. It's not the most promising looking place on the outside, it's fairly generic, not to mention the generic name. But inside it's cute and clean. The menu is a a good size with lots of options. I ordered the chicken satay and the papaya salad. I can't remember what my wife had but it was good. The satay was nice and not covered in gooey marinade. It was delicate and delicious. The papaya salad was huge and I ended up having it for multiple meals. I ordered medium which turned out to be pretty fiery but delicious. While I've found plenty of good Vietnamese I haven't liked too many of the Thai places here. This is an exception. And now I see that they have a second branch on Nob Hill which is near my house which is great.
