As I look back on my reviews... I see my family and I have been frequenting Dragon House for a little over a year now... and man... they still have not disappointed! Services is second to none! The food is always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The price is absolutely reasonable... and their egg rolls... nicely sized deep fried delicious perfection! We went today for Easter, as they're open 7 days a week and again we were so absolutely satisfied! I've been trying to go through their menu to try new things... so far my absolute favorites are the cashew chicken and the sesame chicken. Their crab rangoons and egg rolls are *muah* chefs kiss! We got to the restaurant about 7:30-8:00. It was pretty busy. There was one server and the cook. The server told us it would be about a half hour wait. We sat and waited about 10 minutes. Ordered our drinks. The service was great. Even when he was totally busy and had to do it all. I wanted to bus tables for him. But he pulled it off. We left him a very well deserved tip. The food was excellent. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I will definitely return. If you know anyone that needs a job. This restaurant definitely needs help. read more

The food was ok. C+. Under $60 for the four of us and leftovers. Once we got it. I don't know what happened but they were slammed and could not compensate or get caught up. I tried to pay 3 times and luckily caught one of the guys at the register. Everything started off well, but something happened and the food took a long time. Luckily we were one of the first ones there and actually got our food. Several other patrons just left because they didn't even get acknowledged. The ones that stayed were waiting a very long time. This place needs to hire some more help and prioritize their in store customers over their online orders. Several of those orders went out while everyone was waiting. Maybe new management? Service was awesome, but the food wasn't as good as in years before. I got the cashew chicken and fried rice with spring roll and 2. Regular egg rolls. The egg roll's and spring rolls were very good, but the pork fried rice wasn't very porky or very fried and the cashew chicken lacked a lot also. Were the only ones here, sit anywhere sign prominently displayed. Server on the slow side to get here. Ordered drinks, appetizers - fried Won-Tons and entrees - Triple Swan (chef specialty) w/brown rice the wife picked the Szechuan Beef. Different server brings our food. She's friendly & checked on us frequently. How were the meals? Mine: the scallops were nice size and sweet. The rest a meh - . Brown rice was crispy - underdone? The rest of the dish had no real flavor. I expected better, especially when it's a chef speciality. The Szechuan Beef was tender, veggies were seasoned as was the sauce. Just moved to Rio Rancho. Many Chinese restaurants to choose from. This was first on my list on Christmas Eve. The staff alone makes me want to come back. The food was plentiful and tasty. They have real Chinese hot mustard and chili oil containers in a refrigerator next to the register if you are doing takeout. I like that they put the rice in a separate container from the entree. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely be a regular customer. read more

Took mom here for lunch during the week. It was very clean and pleasant smelling. Service was great, as was the food. Large menu, large portions, but bill was small. Only $30 for 2 including each having our own teapot. I highly recommend. read more

Dragon House is so close to my current home and I just love to pop in for lunch as they have great deals. I love getting the sesame chicken with fried rice. They are always so kind and fast with cooking. I have yet to go in the evenings and have a full dinner but I do recommend this place for individual lunch portions as they are perfect. read more

Dragon House is AMAZING! Upon entry, it's a cute space. We found seating to be comfortable (we had a table with a booth & 2 chairs). Our waitress/host was very attentive (in a really great way as she took great care with her wonderful service!) & the food was absolutely delicious! We started with appetizers: spring rolls & fried dumplings. Both were cooked perfectly & not at all greasy with so much yummy flavor! We both had dinner entrees from the "speciality" list in the back of the menu. My friend had Sesame Chicken for which she gave many accolades. I had King Po Shrimp & I was extremely pleased! Servings were generous, so we both have leftovers to be enjoyed later. Just might be the best Chinese cuisine I've had in decades. Other than that the ED soup is great. I did notice they stopped putting eggs in the pork fried rice. Maybe that is due to the rise in egg prices. Even without the eggs the fried rice is great!! Large fried onions, peas and carrots, excellent taste. How did they know I love fried onions! They did not have beef on a stick, said not today. Waiter came by and refilled my drink, again service is good. I am glad it is not the usual dim lights inside. You can see what your eating and enjoy it. Food was not good. Got beef dish and chicken dish. Beef was hammered tasted more like beef jerky. The chicken we couldn't really tell how it was cooked. I have eaten at Dragon House multiple times. Most of the time my experience has been very good. But because I have eaten there in mid afternoon and during the lunch rush, there has been a peculiar experience that has repeated itself, so I find I need to mention it. There must be only 1 cook in the kitchen who preps and cooks everything. When it is not busy or I am not dining with friends, the entree comes out piping hot. When it is busy or I am dining with a few friends, my entree comes out barely warm. It seems that the kitchen gets overwhelmed when there are multiple orders. The result is tepid food that for me is not ideal. Kind of weird how often this has happened to me at Dragon House. I like hot food to be hot! For people who do not care how hot their food is served, this may not be a big deal. For me it is, it happens often enough to mention it. read more

Really flavorful. A definite step above some of the other Chinese restaurants in this area. They give you huge portions, yet the cost is good! And they dont skimp on the flavors, textures, appearance, technique. I bought from grubhub and it was hot when it got here. The veggies and beef were cut nicely. beef tender and flavorful. More veggies in the dish than other restaurants; Corn, mushrooms, broccoli, water chestnuts, carrots, celery, snap peas, green peppers, and pzucchini. The Egg foo young was so good. We just moved to Rio Rancho from AZ. We have tried a few Chinese restaurants in the area and have not found one to our liking. This was on my list to try next. I wanted to like this restaurant. So we did take out just before 8 pm. The restaurant had a few folks eating their diners. My order was taken quickly and I just stayed with basics to get a feel so ordered the "crab" fried rice & chicken low Mein. Food was done quickly and service was friendly - so 1 star given. Items open at home for consumption did not represent what I thought I had ordered. Fried rice (hard & some under cooked) was light without taste and the "crab" was imitation crab - I should have known better :-(. The low Mein lacked any usual vegetables (green onions/carrots/napa cabbage) to enhance flavor and presentation. Ok - I can look past these shortfalls IF the food had great taste...well sorry to say IT CAME UP SHORT. Guess I will have to keep on searching. read more

Everything was well-cooked but it didn't really make enough of an impression to make me want to return. It was our first visit, so it's possible that some of their dishes are better than others. Our go- to Chinese restaurant! The food is fantastic. Our favorite Chinese food in Albuquerque. They are near Coralles so you can hit Sprouts while you're there. We usually do take-out so I can't say anything about eat-in. The staff is always so nice and our orders are NEVER wrong. Our favorites are: spring rolls, wonton soup, shrimp with lobster sauce, orange chicken and mei fun noodles (spicy). When I'm tired and thinking cold, hide in my music, forget the day, And dream of Chinese Food, I used to know, I closed my eyes and it slipped away..:) We ordered the "Dragon & Phoenix" with Gen. Tso Chicken & Shrimp w. mixed veggies; "Beef Lo Mein" and "Veg. Spring Rolls". The Dragon & Phoenix had a mild orange tasting chicken, nicely cooked shrimp with unexciting flavours...The General was retired from battle..:). The Beef Lo Mein was nicely cooked, but flavourflat. The Veg. Spring Rolls were more like Fried Egg-rolls with little harvest. Will we be back to try Dragon's other attempts at rocking our world?? "Yes!!". I so wanted to give them 5 stars bc the food is really good...but sadly and we had no rice with the pork chow menu nor did we get any utensils or napkins! We ordered Fried wonton: was good and different, crab Rangoon was delish, wonton soup was hearty! Plus there was no where on the menu to order hot oil w our food.
