This was my first time trying this restaurant. We ordered take out for work lunch. Pickup process was super quick and portions were generous. Started with veggie spring rolls, which weee crisp and delicious. The orange ginger glaze sauce was light and complemented it well. I had theSichuan Street Noodles with chicken, which were good. 07/10/26 - I have said before how much my husband and I love this restaurant. The food is always consistently delicious. Of course, we had the firecracker dumplings with extra sauce! My husband had his favorite Kung Pao chicken without zucchini. And I had lettuce wraps! I have not had the lettuce wraps in a long time and had been craving them! They are a huge amount of food. I brought 2 1/2 home with me! Not the lettuce just the meat, a small box of rice, and some firecracker sauce. Ate here tonight and was really happy to see that their menu clearly labels gluten-free items. When we went up to order, I asked about cross-contamination, and the staff assured me that gluten-free dishes are cooked separately, which I really appreciated. I ordered the Sichuan Street Noodles with chicken, and my son had the lo mein with shrimp and beef, along with the Sichuan calamari as an appetizer. Food Went to the Carlisle and Central location. Small tight parking. Have to order once you walk in however we were able to get menus get a table (roomy spot) and make our decisions. There were 4 for lunch and we ordered pot stickers crab wontons won ton soup lettuce wraps (4 large lettuce wraps) and some Singapore noodles with chicken all came out hot and fresh and tasty. Only exception was the wonton soup need a little more flavor in the broth!! I will go back again. Our order was 84 bucks. Comparable to other spots of this caliber. Service was fantastic very attentive wish they would have servers but it works. The owner came by and checked on us. Very friendly very nice!! Ambiance very clean bathroom very clean well mens would be nice at night to sit by window and watch central traffic. Overall great spot for Chinese food will be back. Finally made it to this Nob Hill staple. The lighting and casualness of the restaurant gives it a nice warm energy. The friendliness and promptness of the staff was perfect. Since this was my first visit my partner and I got excited and tried quite a bit of things. The pork buns were delicious! They were so flavorful. The crab rangoon had the right amount of crab. I tried some of my partners egg drop soup and it was really tasty. I myself ordered the Mongolian noodles with shrimp. Not really sure how they were going to be I was not expecting the amount of MSG. It made it too much that I couldn't really enjoy the dish. We also shared a kids portion of chicken fried rice, which is quite a large serving for a kids size. This was just the right fried rice with big pieces of chicken. I asked for hot chili and they had a house chili which was more of a sodium base and not really any hint of heat/spice. The last item I tried was my partners pad Thai. It was pretty tasty and had no issues. I would totally eat that dish again. Outside of the Mongolian noodles, I really enjoyed the experience and would maybe try a different noodles next time that wouldn't be as heavy of the MSGs and had more veggies. First off, Food was delicious!! You take your own seat and order at the counter. Other than that everything else is like a normal restaurant. I ordered the Mapo Tofu (perfect spice level!), chicken fried rice (on the saltier side but delicious none-the-less), and the beef broccoli (very very good - highly recommend). Both the mapo and beef came with rice - can opt for brown rice or noodles for a small extra charge. Staff was friendly and accommodating! Will be a regular here! read more

NOB HILL 5/26/26 the staff was most attentive A+, the food was great A+, jason, the owner was none of the above F- maybe 3 or 4 other smaller groups already seated we came in,- a group of 8, 4 had walkers, 1, a cane, 2, are legally blind, 3, very hard of hearing - one was, as usual, quite confused the entire time - 4 are/have turning 90 this year, 2 @ 88, one 79 and one late 50's we stood in line at the desk to order - all on one ticket - jason told us to line up by the wall after we order, so we could pay when everyone had ordered - we followed his rule - as we paid individually, we were asked what we wanted to drink - most thought they had already order a drink then jason sat us at 4 four tops lined up together with 4 chairs on one side and a long bench on the other - imagine 4 "little old ladies" with the health conditions listed above scooting down a bench 8 to 10 feet long - the wait was manageable, not great i was the last in line to pay and told jason that i felt the process was quite a trial - had i been the owner, i might have apologized for the inconvenient and maybe even offered some small token of appreciation (maybe 8 fortune cookies) but his reply was "WE'VE DONE IT THIS WAY FOR 15 YEARS, AND WILL NOT BE CHANGING IT ANY TIME SOON" read more

We ordered take out from this restaurant one night and let me tell you, so worth it! We cannot speak about the restaurant since we got it delivered but the food was A-1! We got the spicy dumplings as an appetizer that I highly recommended. We really enjoyed the sauce they came with which was a combination of spicy but also tangy in a way and it just elevated the dish in my perspective! Soo good. We also got the Sichuan Street Noodle which was the best plate of all. The flavor was so unique and came with a lot of the sauce which made it even better because who wants dry flavorless noodles, right? We also got the pad thai, which is the reason we did not give this place 5 stars. It was a decent pad Thai but definitely not the best I have tried, lacking flavor. I have a special love for coffee chicken, and this is the only ABQ place I've found it. The Tea Smoked Beef is rich and smoky. I requested the Ma Po Tufu be very spicy, and i was impressed with the richness of the dish (if it's not spicy, it's not ma po tofu). The Seoul dumplings were unique, I'm glad I tried them. Each dish ordered with noodles because their noodles have a rich ginger and are not greasy or saucy, I just wish they gave bigger portions (see tiny box half full). read more

Had an early dinner with a friend. Our first time there. Was not expecting to order at the counter. We took menus, got seated and were served water. We talked, ordered, talked, ate, talked, had a second glass of wine and talked. What I appreciated the most was the ability to just sit and talk leisurely without being prodded to buy more food or desserts. We had not seen each other for a few months so we spent 2 hours there. I loved the Canyon Road Sav. blanc wine - she liked the Sake. The food was good - not gourmet but good for the price. Also, I have never seen a menu that includes a message saying it's ok to order off the kid's menu. It was exciting when Fan Tang opened in Nob Hill. They continue to be a solid option for dining in Nob Hill. The food is really good. I love that you can mix and match proteins and particular dishes. They make it easy to order by queuing up to the counter. The line has rarely been short when I've been there. I love all of the banks of windows that let light in and make for decent people-watching. My one issue with Fan Tang is that almost all of their dishes have sugar in them, so are more sweet than savory. If one has to watch their sugar intake, then this isn't the place to go unless you don't have a great need to explore their entire menu. Probably their worst offender is their coffee dish. It's a sugar fest. It's actually too sweet. It sounds so interesting, but the reality is that it's dessert. I haven't ordered it, but have sampled it from a friend's plate. The spring rolls are great, but I wish they would not cut them in half to make it look like more on your plate the lettuce base was rusty. The citrus dipping sauce was wonderful. I got the garlic, broccoli and beef with noodles. There were a few slivers of Japanese eggplant, water chestnuts, carrots with the broccoli. The beef was gristly and chewy! The other thing is that this entree was really greasy. Chinese food should not be greasy. Ugh! I had it with noodles, which were pretty standard. My friend also enjoyed the spring rolls, and had won ton, which she really liked and got a sweet and sour chicken to go for her husband, which as very heavy on the rice, and light on the chicken portion in the to go container. It was a busy Friday lunch, but the wait for food was not long. We were lucky to find an open table. I like this restaurant and was lucky to find a parking spot in their tight lot. The food is good, but sometimes the servers can be impatient. The location is aesthetically pleasing but it is also too crowded at times.

The Szechuan street noodles with tofu is my absolute favorite meal here. It comes swimming in a "spicy" peanut sauce. Divine.

Terrible Service. Avoid at all costs. I sat patiently and watched as four tables that came in 20-30 minutes after me ALL get their meals. I had to ask where my food was twice. No explanation. No apology. I was only met with rude resistance. Don't do it. They don't even have waiters and it still took them forever. It's a real mess. I wonder if Albuquerque will ever get decent Chinese food??? read more

I ended up phoning the restaurant because I didn't see a menu item on the website's menu and placed the order. Order was ready in 15 minutes. Wonderful customer service when I arrived at Fan Tang to pick up the food. Thai Basil wth chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Mongolian beef and sprig rolls were ordered. Food was hot and delicious. My friend said let's try the place. So we came to check it out. It is very busy, I thought it would be a more of an upscale restaurant, but it's not When you walk in, there is a counter and you order there before you go inside to sit down, like a McDonald's or Burger King. There is seating inside and outside, so that's nice, on a good day you can be outside. It did take a while before the food came to the table, but I think it was worth it. It was actually very good food. Since there were so many customers I think that increased the wait time. Serving size is good. I can it was worth the cost. I think what makes it different then a Mc D or a fast food is they do check on you and refill your drink. I ordered pork fried rice, just to be safe as I had never been here. It is well cooked and the rice is tasty. Be prepared to park on the street and the parking area is may 5 cars tops. I was a little disappointed in the atmosphere. Chinese is be of my favorites. I'm not sure how to describe this place. You order at the counter and then have your food delivered. Not a bad thing overall but somewhat takes away from the dining experience. The food is good. I think the sauces and quality are very good. The portions are moderate, and the prices are expensive comparatively to other places that I've gone to. I think this place is worth trying as it just may be your type of niche but for me it just did not hit the spot. I think there are better places to get Chinese food that are much better quality and value. I may try this place again. I ordered the ginger basil chicken.
