The food is great here!! But it's not always open like google says it's a hit or miss.

We stopped by Asian Noodle Bar in downtown Albuquerque and ordered a little bit of everything to try. Overall it was a really solid meal with fresh flavors and generous portions. We started with miso soup, which was warm, light, and comforting with plenty of seaweed and green onion. It was a great way to start the meal. Next we shared a sushi roll, which was nicely presented and topped with sesame seeds. The roll had a good mix of avocado and crunchy filling, and it came with the classic ginger and wasabi on the side. For the main dishes, we ordered pad thai and a tofu vegetable noodle soup. The pad thai had soft rice noodles, bean sprouts, egg, and green onions, plus a big pile of crushed peanuts for extra texture and flavor. It was savory, slightly sweet, and really satisfying. I can't remember what I ordered for takeout, but it was a noodle dish recommended in Yelp. It was... okay. The broth and the noodles were the two things I was savoring over. The broth was okay but I've had much better. The noodles were great which helped make up for it. The veggies and protein were fresh and nicely prepared. Placed an order for pick-up through their website and it was a pretty straightforward system! My food was ready in 20 minutes and the restaurant is located on a street lined with other restaurants. They have outdoor and indoor seating and the restaurant was really nice! It had a great ambiance from my short stop inside. I ordered chicken pho and it was nice although it wasn't as flavorful or aromatic as other phos I've tried. I added the sriracha and hoisin and that added to the flavor! Such a cool little spot! Seems like a hole in the wall from the outside but very nice on the inside. Food was delicious and service timely. I got the Pad See Ew. Good portion size, but the best part of Pad See Ew is the sauce, which had almost no flavor here.

I paid extra for shrimp AND pork in my spring rolls, with NO CILANTRO. It contained cilantro and did NOT have any shrimp. I ordered the combination fried rice and added in an extra $5 worth of shrimp (supposed to be 4 shrimp). There were a TOTAL of 3 shrimp in the entire dish. Also, the dish was not really seasoned. The rest of the order was okay, but nothing super special. I will try them again, but will order in person next time. read more

It is located downtown so not far from my office. Decided to try it out. When you walk i. Your eyes will have to adjust. While on the dark side, it seems very clean. Lots of people here for lunch. There is a shrine on the far wall. Service was okay, not quick, not slow. Took my order before I could use the app to order. Oh yes there is an app, you can order and they will bring to your table So cool, there is a boiling pot of water zen they put the noodles in there to cook them Even the vegetables are put into the water. When I've been there in the past (which hasn't been in quite awhile), the food was really good. The menu is full of different noodle bowls and soups inspired by a variety of east and southeast Asian countries. I've had the Singapore bowl, which was very delicious and creamy. I've had a couple other kinds that were very good too. A lot of the dishes are vegetarian friendly too. The portions are huge. The staff is friendly. The vibe is low lighting that makes it feel pretty cozy and also have a downtown sort of atmosphere. I came to Asian Noodle Bar for the first time since pre-COVID and I was pleasantly surprised. I will note that they no longer have sushi on the menu, which is quite sad. They also only have updated prices if you scan the QR code and not on the print menu. I always worry that if I order something without seeing the price it's gonna be way more than I expected and I'm gonna be upset. However, their prices are very reasonable. I ordered the spicy sesame noodles, which came with thick and delightful udon with lots of veggies. I also got a Thai tea which was a little too sweet, but still good. I really enjoyed the noodles and will definitely come back for them eventually. The space is a bit small in their staff is limited, but it's definitely worth checking out. The operating hours for this spot are all over the place. But can confirm dining room closes at 6, but you can still do take out till 8. The beef pho take out was a little heavier on taste/salt than the pho my mother in law makes, but it was still delicious. May just have been I got the concentrated at bottom of the pot given how close it was to closing time. They do give a good helping of protein providing both flank steak slices and cut up meatballs. So that's always great. Chicken yakatori was done well. Chunks were big though and it could be a bit more charred, but still delicious none the less. All in all, not entirely traditional not amazing, but still a solid take out spot in the downtown area. read more

Tried this spot a couple times for takeout over the summer. The first time I got pad thai tofu, which was excellent. Really hit the spot, great flavor, noodles traveled well. The second time I tried the drunken noodles equivalent ("spicy basil") and the pad see ew, both with tofu, and was less impressed. The pad see ew was okay but nothing remarkable, and the spicy basil wasn't really spicy or basil-y. Veggies were fine. Noodles were cooked well in both cases. The prices went up between my first and second visit - can't fault them, they were insanely low beforehand and are now on the low end of normal. Perhaps not a screaming deal anymore but fast service and they do have an option to order online. Both times I swung by I easily found parking within the block. Will I go back? Definitely! I really really want to try the mee krob, which I haven't seen on the menu anywhere else in ABQ! And I would definitely get the pad thai again, too. read more

Menu was full of different Asian noodle dishes like pad thai (Thai), chow mein (Chinese), udon (Japanese) so was wondering if they could make all kinds authentically? We ordered the won ton soup, pad see ew, spring rolls and pad thai. I was pleasantly surprised with the food. The won ton had greens, green onions, cha sui, and won tons were pretty good. We ordered the Pad Thai extra spicy, pork egg rolls, veggie with chicken fried rice and the Yaki Udon noodles with pork. The Pad Thai was good; the chicken was cooked well, there as a nice ratio of veggies, noodles and chicken. There could have been a bit more dimension of flavor though. I did not try the Yaki Udon, but my boyfriend finished the entire dish so it seems that he enjoyed it, however he also agreed that it need more of a depth of flavor. The egg rolls were delicious, we got them with chicken and they came with the usual sauce; should have ordered more! The staff was friendly, cleanly and efficient. Went back to Asian Noodle Bar after several years and it was almost exactly how I remembered. The ambiance is calm and quiet despite being right off Central downtown. The food came out quick. I had the Singapore Curry with chicken and my partner had the House Noodle. The house noodle was not as flavorful as it used to be but the Singapore Curry was spot on. We also had chicken eggrolls which were crispy and delicious. They did come out too hot to eat but we were okay waiting since they came out so fast. My only complaint was they had no prices on the menu. Not sure if we came at an odd time when they were updating them but ordering without that information made me a little uneasy. Fantastic! Loved this place. Hole in the wall serving up some EPIC food. Truly a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Albaquerque (did I spell that right?) Huge portions. Very low reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Fun atmosphere. If we were locals, this place would be a frequent stop for us. The bowls of noodles we got not only knocked it out of the ballpark with flavor, but the sheer size of the bowl and the amount of noodles and meat jammed in there was staggering. At about $9 a bowl this establishment mocks 95% of other restaurants in what can be done and offered. I mean if these guys can toss down a monster bowl of goodness like they do for $9 and make a living, what is going on with other places? Woosh! Come here guys. Check it out. Admittedly, I haven't been here in person in several years. I live downtown and it's just far enough from my house to not want to walk there and too close to drive. I do remember being overwhelmed at the sheer size of their menu, and slightly concerned it mixed genres of Asian (Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, sushi.) But honestly, everything I've had there had been spot on. Lately, I've been getting delivery, and I am reminded of just how delicious their food is. Like, every single thing. My first time back was with my two vegan friends. They were VERY accommodating. So much so that they assumed I, too, was vegan, and gave me tofu instead of chicken. But it was delivery and I don't mind tofu. I was more appreciative of their mindfulness. So flying solo last week I ordered the Laad Nah with beef. Lordy. I would love to give them a great riviera as everyone I know loves this place, however we never actually got to try the food. When we sat we mentioned that we had show tickets so we were in a it of a rush, and they said not a problem at all. After 50 min we still did not have food so we asked if they just pack out food to-go. After checking we were told that our food was next to be started. They had still not even started our food. I guess I'll return to try it out when I have more than an hour to wait for them to start cooking our food.
