We were happy to pull in and find the left line was in the parking lot and fairly short. The right line however.... Became a hot mess very quickly! We saw the line going around the side down the side street along Chick-fila. Then some girl pulls in from chick-fil-a and cuts off the line and creates a new line! Eventually the line was going through the Chick-fil-a parking lot, blocking thier drive through people leaving and caused a huge mess. This alone will keep me from going to a restaurant! Hungry people in chaos can quickly bring more chaos!! They either need to come up with another design or it will be an issue. Now to the food - I was not impressed. The crunchiness of the chicken was great but the flavor was a little bland. The sauce was different, could not place the flavor, but was not happy. I ordered "The Box" - four chicken tenders, Cole slaw, fries, and Texas toast. The toast was delicious! The fries were mostly nice and crunchy! The four chicken pieces were more like three and a nugget! Should not have been counted as a piece. One sauce - ONE - for four pieces of chicken. Not sufficient! The Cole slaw was HOT! Not any task of cold as it should be. I feel it would have been delicious if it was cold. I hate leaving bad reviews but..... Overall I was pretty disappointed. The service was mainly fast but the employees were clearly tired and busy. I am willing to give it another chance once it slows down, but we have TONS of chicken options in Rio, and I will happily go elsewhere.

We had brunch here today and had a great experience!…read more Before going, I called to ask about their gluten-free options. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and knowledgeable. She explained that they have a dedicated fryer for their chicken wings and fries, offer gluten-free hamburger buns, and other gluten-free options. That gave me the confidence to give them a try. When we arrived, we grabbed a table on the patio and then ordered. We shared the loaded breakfast fries (without the chile since it isn't gluten-free), and they were delicious. I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh and flavorful. My gluten-free daughter had the barbecue chicken wings and fries, and my gluten-free son ordered the huevos rancheros without the chile. My husband had the regular huevos rancheros. The server who took our order seemed to be new, but another woman, possibly the owner or manager, was extremely friendly, answered all of our questions. As someone with celiac disease, that level of knowledge and willingness to answer questions means a lot. Everything we ordered was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

No Competition occupies the kitchen spaces at the newly renovated Sandia Bar. To our embarrassment and amazement, we stumbled across it - look for signs to the Sandia Bar at the corner of W. Ella and Corrales Road. Are we glad we did. Order and pick up at the outdoor counter adjacent to the parking lot. No seating in the actual restaurant, but you are more than welcome to go into the Sanda Bar or use one of their numerous outdoor tables. The friendly staff at the bar are used to this arrangement. While you are there, have a drink in the Sandia Bar and look at what they have done to make what was once the local "biker bar" hangout into an upscale drinking emporium. And best of all, this is our new "best in New Mexico" burger joint. Simply the best. We also tried out the Mahi Mahi fish tacos and fish and chips. Highly recommended and best of all, its in our backyard. Check out our YouTube video report. https://youtu.be/2Z0Xkdf05rw?si=1t5zHP29uwkPia_H

Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and you get a generous portion, which makes the price feel like a steal. My husband's grilled catfish salad was huge and genuinely delicious, not an afterthought like it can be elsewhere. Sides were a bit mixed. The mac and cheese was overdone, but the red beans and rice were excellent, full of flavor and exactly what you want alongside that fish. Only real drawback is the hours. We found ourselves wishing they were open more often because it is the kind of place you want in regular rotation. Overall, great food, strong portions, and real value. We will absolutely be back.

I love Cajun food normally but I'll be honest this really wasn't it…read more The gumbo had a weird pasty chalky taste. It wasn't like a soup how we are used to, it was sort of thick and slimy, the flavor was a little too different. 1 star dish to be honest. We threw it in the trash. The jambalaya was a little better, but it still wasn't great. It actually made it to like a 3.5 star quality dish; it was good enough to eat, so we ate this. The fried oysters were pretty good, especially when dipped in their spicy tartar sauce, 4 stars for this dish. I might actually crave this once in a blue moon. Their Mac and cheese had so much potential. It was thick and creamy how I like it, burned cheese on it was great, they attempted to put som cajun seasoning in it that you can barely taste, but the part that docked them points the most was the Mac was overcooked probably sat on a heat lamp for a very long time. The fries were soggy after only a 5 minute drive. They also use styrofoam, which I personally don't like eating from due to the forever chemicals that leach into the food when it's hot. Also after spending $40 and asking for an extra sauce I got charged a dollar. I mean okay I don't thin the side sauce was worth the dollar but also the sauce that came with it was only filled half way. I mentioned that am still I was charged the buck. The lady up front had an alright demeanor, the lady cooking in the back seemed really sweet and asked me how i found them, had a smile etc. I think they should have someone like that cashiering.

There was a decent line indoors so I ordered online. Just a salad and fries. 20...30 minutes go by and my order isn't ready. I see many people getting their orders from inside. I go to ask them, and it's clear that they haven't even acknowledged my order. "10 minutes" they said. Another 15 minutes and I still didn't get a notification. I go in and ask again. They start working on it at that moment! They package it and I take it outside to eat. - It's missing the salad dressing, and I have to ask for it again. Extremely poor service. I will say that 2 sliders was sufficient for all 5'6" of me, but perhaps if you're a bigger person you might want to take advantage of the fries and drink add-on option for like $4 more (the 2 sliders alone were like $12). The sauce reminded me of Raising Canes' sauce, but not zesty like Raising Cane's-- which might be a good (or bad) thing depending on your taste preferences. The chicken slider wasn't bad, just not crave-worthy in my opinion. For one, I think it needed more slaw and sauce. I asked for a side of sauce and still felt like I wanted more moisture in the slider overall. Perhaps adding cheese would have made it taste better... (though for me personally I wish the sandwich would have had some mayo to moisten the bread a bit more). The man taking orders seemed friendly and personable, which I did appreciate, I just was expecting something more from the sliders. The others with me tried different things in the 505; the general consensus was that nothing was all that great except for the smash burgers from another vender (but I did not try them so I cannot definitively say if the smash burgers were actually better or not). KuKri is tucked in the middle of the 505 and didn't have any sight lines from the tables, plus being in the 505 it's kinda hard to rate the ambiance because there wasn't really anything specific to this restaurant.

I got the chicken shawarma bowl and the shawarma fries to try and have for lunch the next day. My friend got the loaded hummus plate and the dessert. The dessert was like baklava but with chocolate drizzle and cinnamon powder, not super sweet at all, more of a tang taste for sure. The shawarma was amazing and everything was super filling. The fries will probably be my new guilty pleasure! The bowl was also amazing and less of a guilt because there's plenty of veggies and fiber. The sauces they use are also just chefs kiss. The hummus was also incredible, you can tell they make it in house and it's super authentic. As a middle eastern it's not easy to come by good food that hits the spot like home does, so thank you Yalla Shawarma for providing amazing comfort food! The service was also great, we ordered online and the food was ready on time. Can't wait to be back!
