A breakfast burrito filled with eggs, cheese, and meat is held in a person's hand over a patterned paper wrapper on a table.

Delicious breakfast burritos! We've went in a few times while visiting from out of town. The food was great and the service was fabulous! We loved that they are so military friendly and have photos of military members all around. Nice and clean inside too!

I had heard really good things about this drive thru burrito spot. Since driving in the area, I thought I would give it a try. I chose a # 1 bacon breakfast burrito with red on the side. I did not expect shredded bacon and tiny cubes of fried potatoes and it was delicious. There was a small bit of melted orange colored cheese. The red sauce was mild and flavorful, and I dipped my burrito into it, so I got just the tight amount sauce. I checked out the other items on the menu and look forward to coming back soon and trying other items. The line was long, but well worth the wait. They got the orders out quickly. They have their act together.

"WORLDS BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH" -- stated on one of the signs for Stripes - I wasn't a believer until I took my first bite. It definitely makes it to my top 3 for sure! Their spicy sauce is perfect, as saucy as it looks - it wasn't an overkill at all. Their shoe string fries go perfectly with the meal, so crispy and thin ! Came here on a Sunday morning breakfast before riding out to White Sands National park - the drive thru line was pretty long, reaching out into the Main Street BUT it went by surprisingly quick! If you're in Albuquerque you def don't wanna miss this spot. Had to get this spot twice during our 4 day trip in ALB :P Happy eating !

Will never return. Poor service and my burrito was cold in the middle. Looks like the team has changed.

I had the biscuits and gravy and enjoyed every bite. The biscuits tasted fresh-made and my eggs were cooked perfectly. Husband enjoyed his chicken fried steak. I also enjoyed the O.J., which tasted fresh squeezed (I like fresh and tasty ). The decor was patriotic with pictures and medals and flags... along with good stories of some of our great heroes. We will definitely be back to this local gem.

Wow . This was one of the best DoorDash meals I've had in a very very long time. The food itself is…read morea very solid 5+ star meal. Outstanding! I don't even know where to start but here goes. The New Mexican Philly cheesesteak, arguably my favorite dish, very very different take on what a cheesesteak usually is (not in a bad way). I was first skeptical when I ordered it, but I saw all the great reviews on the dish so I had to try. This was oddly enough my 4th favorite Philly cheesesteak I've ever had, which is weird to say because the first 3 favorites were actually in Philly and made the traditional way. Something about the spicy queso sauce and the soft fatty tasting meat just really brought it home. The huevos rancheros: every inch was flavorful , saucy, cheesy and lovely. I enjoyed even more the parts where I could also taste the tortilla at the bottom, wish it was in more of the dish but it's okay the flavors were outstanding. Another 5 star dish! Next time I'll also try it with eggs over medium. The Xmas chile cheese fries: best chile cheese fries in New Mexico! The fries themselves tasted like they were hand cut, so either they had some high quality freezer fries or they definitely cut those fries by hand. Either way I wasn't complaining! Their green chile was insanely good. We also had the Green Chile stew, the flavors and ingredients were really good. I think for people that love home cooking this will feel really nostalgic for them. Like grandmas caldo she used to make. For me, the dry texture of the beef reminded me way too much of my mom's dry / rough beef she always had in her stews . Objectively I can say it was a really nice caldo, but the tortillas, not sure how I could grab on to much of the food with it really. I think this might be a dish best eaten in house. I also tipped their staff $2 in addition to the driver tip , and they wrote a funny joke on the plate which I thought was cute haha. I kept the rating at 5 stars but I hope that management reads this review because I do have one critique. All the food was in styrofoam and non sustainable plastic. Styrofoam especially has been banned from some places including California because when heated it, it adds cancer causing chemicals into your food. I would gladly pay $0.35 per meal to receive the meals in sustainable packaging that will keep me healthy. Because of this, I think I won't be ordering from here for delivery and hope that I have time to make the 20 minute drive to go there in person. It's really good food! Found this place on DoorDash but the funny part is it's been near my house the whole time next to the barber shop I've been to plenty of times.

Yes, the chiles are vegan. (So are the beans - pressure-cooked to creamy tenderness.) Yes, they're delicious - both the red (from pods!) and the green. (And, yes, it's me - noted grumpy traditionalist who usually wants an extra scoop of bacon grease in pretty much every dish - who's writing that.) The room is small, but well thought-out. There are nice little two-top tables outside along the sidewalk/patio in this pleasant part of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Lavender Cocinita is popular, with a steady stream of folks coming in - but I've never had a problem getting seated and I've never felt rushed (even when sitting a while, jabbering in the chile afterglow). (Free parking is plentiful in the area, but a little weird in the Los Ranchos pedestrian area: your best bet might be trying for street parking on Tyler Road, the E/W street just N of the restaurant.) The chef is friendly and will answer questions. The counter folks have always been friendly and kind: checking on us periodically. Really nice folks. It's an order-at-the-counter/pay/take-a-seat/they-bring-it-to-you place, but the service is good enough that you'll kick yourself if you don't tip heavier than usual for such an arrangement. Get your own water at the counter. Food is cooked to order (perfectly in all my visits thus far) and will take a few minutes to get to your table, but you'll be happy. Portions are always large (I leave full, and I'm a big eater) and the cost is on the low edge of today's pricing. The chiles are real-deal: they tend to be notably more piquant than at most places in town but they're real chile and vary in heat with the batch being served (I am used to and appreciate heat and one time the green was HOT!). As noted, the flavors are just wonderful. Bear in mind, NM red and green chiles are relatively simple sauces with few components: the artistry of the chef and the quality of the ingredients are absolutely vital to the flavor impact of the finished product served - and Lavender Cocinita absolutely nails this. Foodies have written the place up over and over, and they've won awards that would impress folks in the know in the short time (less than two years) they've been open. Without being melodramatic, this place gives a serious-about-the-flavors vibe that reminds me of those noted in places that have won James Beard American Classic awards. Lavender Cocinita is a reasonably inconvenient drive for me, but every time I've made it I've driven back with a grin and a vow to do it again soon.
