Yes, these are quite a bit pricer that's for sure. People were buying one of everything in line. I was like wow! Some Items the combinations of flavors didn't appeal to me. I love tiramisu and pecan pie so I got them both. One suggestion I would have is to have utensils and napkins at the table for people to use. The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. It was great! The tiramisu one I wouldn't order again. The bottom flakey part was so bitter. I love coffee and expresso and tiramisu. But, the whole thing just wasn't what I thought it would taste like. Now I know. :-( Creamy, sweet, smooth, with a kick of coffee all come together to make a great tiramisu. When we walked in, we saw a case filled with fresh made breads, beautiful cookies and tempting pastries. I like that all the ingredients are prominently marked on each item. The whole grain galette was particularly filling and the cherry filling yummy and fresh. We were greeted with friendly and attentive service. The clerk told us that we can call-in an order and pick up later. Also, they will deliver locally on Tuesdays. They also ship anywhere in the US. Go early for the apple pastries, which sell out quickly and were gone when we arrived. They sell croutons and other dry goods as well. There is no seating inside the shop. We were greeted by Tim Dines, owner and baker. Tim told us that all the bread is sour dough. A fresh batch of assorted cookies also included a gluten free option. Today's scones were lemon blueberry and maple pecan. We purchased one of both and a loaf of Honey Oat Whole Wheat bread. There is no room for in store dining, and we couldn't wait, so we ate our scones outside. The scones are large with a fluffy inside. The lemon blueberry scone was a perfect blend of savory with a bit of sweetness from the blueberries. The maple pecan scone filled the car with the aroma of maple syrup. The scone was delicious. I'm craving another one as I write this. We had the bread when we got home. The crust was nice and chewy with a soft inside. It was the best whole wheat bread that I've had in a while. Tim also sells local honey and preserves. The shop is cute with a small town feel. There is free street parking in front of the shop. It had been a big challenge to find a bakery that could accommodate their allergies and we were never able to find one that could make the kind of cool cakes their friends had for their birthdays. And then we found Black Cat Bakery. Audra is truly an artist! Not only are the cakes decorated to perfection, they are absolutely delicious. Our family members are not vegan and they tell us at every party that it's the best cake they've ever had. For our latest cake, Audra went out of her way to 3D print a dragon using plant-based materials to make our birthday boy's dragon cake dreams come true. I encourage everyone to try Black Cat. Really bad cake and horrible experience that ended with the police being called and the owner…read moresmacking my hand. Yes really and not in a playful way! Could write a book on all the issues. This won't be short but here is what happened. I purchased a birthday cake from her for my daughter and it didn't make the ride home. It cracked and fell apart completely as shown in the pictures. The next day was a holiday weekend and she told me she would not be working. So I figured I would talk to her when I returned a tote she loaned me. When I went in I explained the situation and showed her the pictures. She had several customers in her shop when she asked me if we had tried to eat it. I had thought she was a nice person and hadn't gone in there to insult her so I didn't even mention that we had thought about trying to salvage it so cut a slice and it tasted horrible. There was so much powdered sugar that the favor was bitter. Not only that it was a carrot cake and there were no visible carrots, raisins, or nuts. She asked me to wait until the customers left, I said sure and sat down off to the side. Once every one was gone she immediately started yelling about how I should have called her sooner. She said because of this she would only refund half. I had approached her nicely and wasn't angry at all so I asked her why she was yelling and she said she was frustrated with me not calling her that night even though it was a holiday and my daughter's party was the next morning. She said that she would have made another cake at 7:30 pm that night and driven it an hour to our house. I wasn't really opposed to taking half but I didn't like the way she was trying to bully and scare me so I told her I would have to leave a review. She instantly said that she would offer me nothing in that case, she just kept screaming and waving her arms, getting more and more out of control. I was feeling uncomfortable and said maybe I should call the police. She was more upset about that and I explained I only said it in hopes that she would calm down. She however insisted on calling the police and I left the shop to wait. It seemed like a long time and the police didn't come so I walked up to see if I should keep waiting. She told me she would still give me half if I would sign a paper that she had written out a statement on. She was out of control again and said that was absolutely the only way I could get even a partial refund. I wanted to go home but wasn't sure if this was kosher with the police on the way. At this point because of her volitile behavior I was filming her. I thought she had some deep issues and wanted the protection. Wanting it to be over and knowing that her behavior was off I told her I would sign whatever she wanted. She kept yelling about lawyers and asking about my phone. We stepped inside and I waited for the paper. She came up to the counter and said "you keep doing this. Who are you talking to? What are you doing?" At this point she smacked my hand and my phone fell. For the first time I yelled back. I said "hey" and told her I was filmimg her and why. She shreiked "You are not filming me, you are not" I picked up my phone and went back outside. The police did come eventually. They told me she is just sensitive and I was technically not allowed to film on private property. They said that since I was not seriously injured there was nothing to do. They said that she told them she would offer half if I would sign her statement. The police seemed to think I should go with them back into the shop and accept a partial refund. She was going to get the paper again when she raised her voice to the police and waived her arms around saying "I want to know what she's doing with that video first. I want to know". I said I wasn't sure. The police officers asked her to calm down and then asked me if I would be keeping or deleting it. I said that I planned to keep it. She then said that she would not refund any portion of the purchase and finally I went home.

We ordered a gluten free strawberry cake for my daughter's birthday. It was dense, definitely not…read morestrawberry. It tasted more like banana bread. It was 3 layers, the top layer was about 4-5 inches and the middle and bottom layer were about 2 inches. We were charged $70 and did not get what we wanted. The only reason I gave it a star, the icing was good. Horrible, dry cake.
