Rosaya altered my wedding dress for me and she was a total life saver!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. I came to Rosaya super last minute as the boutique I purchased my wedding dress kept insisting my dress fit me fine. Instead of forcing them to work against their will, I went to Rosaya. She was completely on board with my vision. We ended up raising the waist a couple inches, taking in the waist several inches and adding appliques to create cap sleeves. I found Rosaya off of yelp and although her work was efficient and done well her prices are mind boggling. I know alterations are expensive but I was charged $180 for a bridesmaid dress which really only required the straps to be tightened and she sewed in some scraps of lace she already had that happened to match along the edge of the straps. Maybe a foot of lace trim was added? Nothing was taken in, nothing was hemmed. I then brought additional items in. She wanted to charge me $35 to sew buttons on an Ann taylor shirt that one had popped off, $40 to resew a slit in a pencil skirt that slit maybe an cm than what it was. The shirt wasn't worth more than $20 and her justification was that she needed to replace all the five standard black buttons bc I didn't have a spare. I get maybe $10 or $15 but $35 is just insane. She also works out of her house which made me terribly uncomfortable after she had marked my dress up, spent an hour with me, and then dropped the cost bombshell on me. If it was at a store, I would have said thanks but no thanks. I'm sure her work is done beautifully but so are a ton of seamstresses in the area that actually work out of shops and have to pay their store rent. Just wanted to warn others so they don't suffer the same sticker shock I experienced as I did not see any other yelp reviewers mention any of this. read more

She was friendly on the phone and when I met her in person I felt like she was already a friend I've known for years. She made me feel beautiful and confident in my wedding dress. To begin Rosaya is super nice, friendly, & attentive. I'm fairly new to the Ft. Lauderdale area having moved hear just over a year ago. I'm petite so of course most of the time I need my pants hemmed. A month ago I was taking a trip to Greece and I had some dressy shorts I wanted to take with me that parts of one of the legs the hem had come undone. Rosaya is AMAZING! She made some alterations to my wedding dress and to my moms dress to wear on the big day. Everything fits us both perfect! She even made custom built-in bras in both our dresses so we'd be more comfortable and wouldn't have to wear strapless bras. My moms dress is a very thin cotton material too, but it still looks flawless, you can't even tell the bra is built in there! She also made a beautiful French bustle for my wedding dress. She had cleaned it impeccably. I hadn't thought about much about my dress since the wedding, being distracted by the honeymoon and getting my life back to normal. However, when I looked at it again, I remembered how much I loved it, and the reason for that is entirely attributed to the amazing, beautiful, precise, and detail oriented work of Rosaya. I first brought Rosaya the dress after having it altered at the place of its purchase. They had done a horrible job. I had bought the dress too large and the alterations that were done to it were hasty and the dress still did not fit me well. I had resigned myself to this but my mother felt I deserved better and was excited about taking it to Rosaya after reading several of her good reviews. When we first arrived, Rosaya was so embracing. She didn't make me feel bad about the dress right off. She spent a lot of time talking with me to figure out what I did and didn't like. Then she shared her thoughts and gave several options on what she could do. She managed to renew my excitement in the dress's potential all over again. I couldn't believe the transformation when I came for the first fitting. Rosaya's precise measurements made the dress fit perfectly. She had to do quite a substantial amount of work since the dress was several sizes too big and already altered once, but the seams, bustline, and hemline were flawless. She even changed the bustle, making it a French bustle that better fit the style of the dress. What minor things were left she completed within the following week and by the second fitting the dress was perfect. I had a dress that I needed to be altered for a wedding which is actually today. I found Rosaya on Yelp. After going through the pictures and reading majority of her reviews I decided to call her. She listened while I described what I needed to be altered on my dress. She was able to squeeze me in that same day. When I arrived at her location, she kindly greeted me and my 4 year old son. I was so embarrassed while putting on the dress, because I could not even get in it because the straps were too tight. (Last time it was worn, was 5 years ago) She made me feel so comfortable.
