She kept talking about the time it would take and how busy she was; bragged about how diligent she was. Then she provided me with the estimate but before she showed it to me, she started off by saying she would not be offended if I did not want to hire her and told me the down payment. When I heard the down payment I about choked. Her price was OUTRAGEOUS . It was 3x the cost of the outfit. I apologized for "wasting" her time and she could not get me out of there fast enough. I went to another seamtress the next day and his cost was 1/8 of what she wanted to charge me. When I told him the estimate I had received - without mentioning any names - he asked if it was her. He currently is attempting to "fix" 2 wedding dresses she ruined. PRICES OUTRAGEOUS!!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE.

I needed an alteration done to my wedding dress at the very last minute as I leave the country tomorrow morning. I searched Google, called around & ended up here. I couldn't be any happier or anymore grateful than I am! Nury worked on my dress and had it back to me by mid-day. She altered my dress to exactly how I initially wanted it done & she pressed it for me without me even having to ask. I can not for the life of me understand some of the bad reviews. Not only is she great at what she does, she is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She talked to me about life and true happiness which by her personality, you can just tell that she is truly happy. She loves what she does and she seems to be great at it as well. She has customers that have been coming to her for years, each time I came in her shop... she had a customer. She's moved shops several times as they've tried to raise her rent higher and higher in some plazas and she still manages to find a place within the same area/proximity to deliver quality work to the people. She's great. Again, i'm thankful that she was able to take the time out of her day and do very last minute alterations for me for such an important day. I think that her business deserves more of a shine and if anyone needs a tailor, she is 100% the person to go to.

This past weekend I was trying on the dress I got for my best friend's welcome party for her destination wedding. The zipper got stuck, then it broke, and my panic for having a new dress for this occasion in under a week set in. I used Yelp assistant to put in a request to local alterations spots and let them know I had a broken zipper off the track of a formal dress and I needed it fixed before Tuesday. This request was sent on a Saturday afternoon, so to be honest I was not very hopeful of any replies but Carolina replied right away. Her studio is right by my apartment so she told me to take my dress in right then to see if it could be fixed. She fixed the zipper on the spot, and when we actually tried on the dress we realized that I did not fit. Welcome to my nightmare. She had the brilliant idea to alter the dress and add fabric on the sides to give me the inches I needed. The result is essentially a custom dress that I am obsessed with, and at a great price. I am definitely going to keep Carolina on speed dial for any of my alterations needs as she is super sweet, detail oriented, and very well priced. Her studio is located in a blue building on Mediera and there is street parking right in front. Thank goodness for both request a quote and Carolina for saving my dress fiasco.
