Today was my first visit to Carmen's prime alterations. I came after work in a bad storm determined to make it on time. Carmen was very kind and greeted me right away. Within seconds Carmen helped me pick the right shoes from the two that I brought and the dressing room was right nearby. I tried on the gown with the shoes. All that is needed is a little hem so that I will be more confident walking in a formal gown. The price was fair. I didn't mind one bit paying in full upfront. I have full confidence with Carmen that the gown is going to look perfect! I will definitely be back for more alterations. I found Carmen locally through a Google search, after purchasing a SHEIN gown for my brothers wedding. I called to make an appointment, which went so smoothly. Carmen's appointment keeping and contact leading up to that time, as well as follow up fitting was on point. I have no before pictures, but it was loose in the chest area and far too long. Carmen works from a home, however has her entrance and dressing area set up beautifully - you feel like you are having a salon experience, and parking is a cinch. She had me bring in the shoes I was wearing to be sure that my dress perfectly skimmed the ground without compromising the length of the train, and I'm proud to say that I did not trip on my dress one time! She is very friendly, professional, and did an amazing job on the alterations to this gown. I felt like a complete knock out! She even went as far as to give me some walking and posing tips to best showcase my train, which as an admittedly clumsy and casual dresser went so far!
