The inside of the shop is nice with a private dressing room. The area for alterations is a little small and visible to the rest of the shop and front windows, which could impact the experience if you happen to be uncomfortable with visibility for a process like this. However, given my experience, the timing was great and I know she would have been happy to fix any issues if there had been any, she was really nice to work with. This past weekend I was trying on the dress I got for my best friend's welcome party for her destination wedding. The zipper got stuck, then it broke, and my panic for having a new dress for this occasion in under a week set in. I used Yelp assistant to put in a request to local alterations spots and let them know I had a broken zipper off the track of a formal dress and I needed it fixed before Tuesday. This request was sent on a Saturday afternoon, so to be honest I was not very hopeful of any replies but Carolina replied right away. Her studio is right by my apartment so she told me to take my dress in right then to see if it could be fixed. She fixed the zipper on the spot, and when we actually tried on the dress we realized that I did not fit. Welcome to my nightmare. She had the brilliant idea to alter the dress and add fabric on the sides to give me the inches I needed. The result is essentially a custom dress that I am obsessed with, and at a great price. I am definitely going to keep Carolina on speed dial for any of my alterations needs as she is super sweet, detail oriented, and very well priced. Her studio is located in a blue building on Mediera and there is street parking right in front. Thank goodness for both request a quote and Carolina for saving my dress fiasco.

Yeah no. Any…read morebusiness that manages to tick me off the way this one did gets one star. I went last week and dropped off a top that I received as a gift. It was short and showy and I was afraid it would make my breasts pop out. The lady who attended me told me it was a quick fix with bringing in the halter part. That that in itself should make it tighter and fix it. I paid $10 or so and was told to come back in a week. I went back this morning. The top was brought in all right, but the top still felt loose. I mentioned this and then they told me they'd charge me nearly $16 to get it fixed again. Nope. They should've bothered asking how I wanted things done the first time and they shouldn't be charging more the second time for something to fix. This is uncalled for. The woman didn't even seem to care about how I, the customer, wanted things to fit. I ended up taking my top and leaving with a bitter taste in my mouth. I then went to another seamstress who at least cared enough to tell me the pros and cons on whether or not this top made sense to further fix. I won't be returning to this shop. The lackadaisical attitude I received and the fact that they just seemed to care about money negated the fact they could even sow in a decent manner.
