Already planning my next visit. Highly recommend!

Came here for dinner and unfortunately left pretty underwhelmed overall…read more The restaurant itself was clean, and service initially started off fine. When we first arrived, the restaurant was not busy. Only a couple other tables occupied, so expectations were fairly high for a smooth experience. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. The food took quite a while to come out despite how slow it was. When it finally did, it was first delivered to the wrong table before eventually making its way to us. The food runner then randomly grabbed a ranch from our table and brought it to another table. He seemed potentially new, but overall the service felt very disorganized and clueless, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. We ordered the cheese curds to start, and they were disappointing. The breading was mushy and extremely greasy, and the cheese itself tasted low quality rather than the fresh curds you'd expect at a Wisconsin pub. We also ordered several wing flavors since they were on special: garlic parm, buffalo, bourbon BBQ, and lemon pepper. One issue right away was the lack of flavor variety overall on the menu. The wings themselves were inconsistent. Sizes varied dramatically, which clearly affected the cook quality. Some were fried so hard they were like chewing leather, while others had soggy, undercooked skin. Flavor wise the buffalo were almost completely flavorless. The lemon pepper was extremely mild. The garlic parm was probably the best of the group, though still just average. The bourbon BBQ was rough. The sauce tasted like an overly sweet, overly salty cheap jarred glaze rather than an actual house-made BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the Mary Mac burger without a bun and was told extra lettuce leaves could be substituted to make it a lettuce wrap. Instead, it came out with just shredded lettuce. The burger itself was overcooked and lacking flavor. The fries were decent enough, but nothing memorable. Overall, this felt like a place with potential that just missed the mark on both execution and consistency during our visit.

Definitely a place to check out. Service was the bartender slash wait staff and there were multiple tables in while we dined. It looks nice and clean inside and lots of places to park. A great place to check out.

First time here under the new name--it used to be Brisco County. Came with a friend for dinner…read more Food: I ordered the 1/2 lb Aztec Burger with a side of fries. I asked for it medium rare, and the server promised it would be. And it was! I'm always a little surprised when that actually happens. It arrived quickly and was hot, well seasoned, and cooked just right, with the right amount of chipotle sauce. The fries were nice and crisp without being overly salted. My friend ordered the pork chops: two 7 oz boneless chops that were also very good. Nicely grilled and tender. Service: We were there for a little more than two hours and were well taken care of the entire time. Our server got us settled in right away with water, menus, and our beverage order. Throughout the meal, the server checked that we were enjoying ourselves and kept our beverages topped off. Atmosphere: The place is large, with plenty of seating at the bar, at tables, and in booths. We sat in a booth near the front door, away from the bar. Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised, but I counted at least 12 TVs hanging from the ceiling. I find that very distracting. By my definition, that makes it a sports bar that serves food. It's just not the atmosphere I prefer when enjoying a nice meal. Really enjoyed the meal, but the sports programming on the TVs was a distraction.

First time here. Came with two other people for a Friday lunch…read more Food: Excellent selection of food. Plenty of choices for appetizers, street food, and entrees. They also have lunch specials if you're short on time or trying to stay within a budget. For an appetizer, we got the Red Bean Sesame Balls. You get six of these delightful little hot and sweet balls with a red bean center. Probably more of a dessert than an appetizer, but that didn't stop us. Two of us ordered the Pho. I got the Seafood Pho, and the other person got the Beef Pho. Both came out plenty hot, with very generous portions even though we ordered the small size. There were lots of delicious ingredients and a flavorful broth. Both were excellent. The third person ordered the Pad Thai, which was also delicious. The meat was tender, the noodles were cooked just right, and once again, it was a generous portion. Service: We were seated right away and given menus and waters. The server did a good job helping us navigate the menu and was friendly and efficient. The only issue was the timing of the food. Two of us received our Pho while the third person had to wait for her Pad Thai. It would have been better if all three meals had arrived closer together. Instead, we had that slightly awkward round of, "You eat," "No, I'll wait," "No, it'll get cold," and "Do you want some of mine?" Atmosphere: It's a well-designed space with plenty of seating, including spots at a counter and throughout the dining room. The acoustics are a bit loud because of all the hard surfaces, and the volume of the music added to the overall noise level. At times, it was difficult to hear someone across the table without leaning in. Overall, an excellent meal. I would definitely stop in again, either to order the exact same thing or to try something new.

We have been here a dozen times or so, but mostly to go for malts and their daily ice cream special. However, their burgers are good in a pinch as well as their gyros. Their Chicago hot dogs are also good if you are looking for something other than a burger or standard quick order chicken strips. You can make it a combo for $2.90, and the fries are decent but you can upgrade to onion rings for a small price. I have had their gyro a number of times and their tzatziki sauce is decent, but I like to smother my gyro in the sauce and they will provide you another cup if you request one. On the other hand, the kid's sliders were awful. Paper thin and the meat tasted really funky. I know when my kid won't eat even two bites of a cheeseburger that there's something wrong with it. He had liked every burger he's ever had but for these. I took a large bite and there's definitely something off. It tasted almost like it had been dissolved. Like it wasn't even meat? Just awful! Fries were also fairly limp and soggy. The few crispy ones were okay. Thankfully they weren't overly salted. Custard was good. Booths have lots of handprints of grease from kids reaching over the top or back behind their heads with their hands. We will try again but avoid the burgers.

We recently decided to explore Germantown and we stopped at Mario's Pizza for a cheese, mushroom, and sausage pizza. We've heard about this place for many years and decided to finally give it a try. My wife went in to order the pizza and two drinks and was told that it will be ready in 20 minutes. 37 minutes later we got our pizza and two drinks. I was extremely hungry and decided to try it in the car, rather than waiting to go to a park or another place to park. The pizza was awful. I have actually invested in a New York pizza restaurant and know good pizza. This is not that. To pick it apart for you, understanding that taste varies among eaters, I will tell you that the crust is dry, flavorless, and essentially becomes a cracker when cooked. I like thin crust, pizza, and I've had many crisp crusts that were good and excellent (Zaffiros on Farwell being a benchmark). This is really not good. The sauce was extremely bland. I like playing sauce, but this was flavorless as if there were no spices in it of any kind. The cheese is good. It's a stringy mozzarella. that is the saving grace of the pizza itself. The mushrooms were flavorless, unseasoned, and dry. The sausage was abysmal. So salty, so inconsistent in size of pieces, and way over spiced. I'm afraid this one is a miss. My wife thinks it was a sold a couple years ago. Not exactly the pizza place I've heard so much about over the years.
